Is this relationship health? Probably not. Should you act like either of this characters IRL? Definitely not. Is this story mega enjoyable regardless and am I cheering for Ayaka and Hiroko just by virtue of Ayaka's gigachad energy? Abso-fucking-lutely.

Dunno if the actual characters are the same at all, but the fact that one of the credited assistants is named as Sixi just makes me read every oblivious Sixi scene as a small instance of the author roasting their friend

A lot of the comments here really reflect my feelings on this manga, it started out as a silly gag manga that was sort of enjoyable even without expecting any serious progress, but by this point it is just painful to read. The constant state of emotional limbo makes Hishikawa look increasingly pathetic to the point that it just feels mean to laugh at her antics. On the flipside, Komaki just feels cold and honestly cruel.

I think the comedic dynamic has just been overplayed by this point and there would need to be some sort of shake-up in their relationship. Even if they don't get together (which judging by everything they never will), there needs to be a new joke besides Hishikawa makes an advance and is shut down. This is particularly aggravated by some of her advances being not at all ridiculous and over the top, which makes me wonder what the author is even thinking.

My best friend died recently and now this manga hits quite differently. It's kinda nice though actually

I wrote before about Yunduo, to say that she obviously has no romantic interest in Xiaoen and just sees her as a cute little cousin.

Well... I'm starting to have second thoughts.

Really? I'd say this chapter rather affirms that point of view. She obviously cares a lot for Xiaoen but it seems to be in a more familial sort of way, doesn't give much of a romantic vibe to me honestly.

I restate my previous demand:

Can we give Ayaka some sort of "least useless lesbian" award?

Loved this chapter, showed Xiaoen from her confident and mature side and very believably portrayed Xingyuan's insecurities

Japan is weird in that roughly two thirds of the population support gay marriage but the third that doesn't is vastly over-represented in politics, so nothing actually changes. Still just a matter of time though, I wouldn't be surprised to see Japan legalise gay marriage this decade

This chapter made me laugh really hard, it's just such an absurd situation with them basically fucking in front of the "girlfriend" that I really struggled to take this seriously. I guess it's mostly due to me only having read the first 3 and last 2 chapters, but still

The fact that Tsukushi can see Hinoka making that kind of face towards her and still think she'll get rejected should net her some sort of trophy as the world's most useless lesbian, it is honestly impressive.

I also get the sense that once they eventually figure things out, they'll be obnoxiously flirty

I love this pair, due to the limited scope of the DLC their interactions weren't that extensive but they had great chemistry and were individually two of my favourite characters
