What a great illustration of societal sexism passed down from one generation to the next, in just a few quick pages. It feels like this mangaka really gets it on a genuine level and it's a pretty rare thing IMO. Thank god for her granddaughter, there's some hope yet in this world. You go granny, take all the dang classes you want !

I liked this chapter far more than it deserves (I think), if only for how the professor was shown to be human (not some know-it-all prick) and the son-in-law managed to put his foot in his mouth all the way to the knee with his wife. I'm glad this story is taking so long to be translated so I don't binge it in one sitting and can digest it in small doses the way it feels like it should be read.

Agreed. New guy struck me as just trying to talk to a pretty girl after getting pushed into the situation by Narita.

Prom can be nice and fun if you want to be there and are into the vibe, or can be hell on earth if you're not.

That last page gave me flashbacks of 'Sixteen Candles' and 'Some Kind Of Wonderful'. For those to young to know, those were two movies about teens from the late 80's at least one or maybe both by John Hughes. Great for their time, decent in general, and both featured actors and actresses that went on to be huge.

I was getting into the story until the reveal that all 3 people were the same and I was so surprised it was almost anger inducing, I REALLY dislike when people play with others feelings, especially affection and attraction, and the end of the chapter gave me a vibe of that 'çhameleon' was targeting her for a reason and it just felt bad. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong I'd like to read the next chapter to see if I am wrong.

As a kid in the 70's all I heard was how nobody made passes at girls who wore glasses, and I thought that was crap cause I remember ALL the women on Charlie's Angels wore glasses at some point and they were ALL fine as frog's hair with or without them. I like the idea, the only problem would be that a Wednesday afternoon is the perfect day and time for a confession, and neither of them is that smooth or experienced enough to do it on purpose or lucky enough to do it on accident. I personally am still holding out for them to have a "MANGA MOMENT" (the accidental push at just the right time for a quick kiss) preferably in front of Uncle Joe or the friend group or both.
