Some things I've noticed: The idol Akane actually shows up briefly in chapter 4 in a photo with Mei. It seems as though Akane is also friends with Rinna, and in chapter 5.2 we're briefly shown a flashback with Rinna in what appears to be an idol outfit collapsed on the ground. In the brief flashback we're shown Mei who appears to be worrying over the collapsed Rinna.

So here's my theory: Rinna and Akane were idols together. Whether they were a duo or part of a group, I can't say. Anyway, something happened to cause Rinna collapse and a nearby Mei rushed over to help. As a sort of thanks, Akane did a photo op with Mei. The incident also caused Rinna to fall in love with Mei, but for whatever reason Mei forgot about her.

Of course, that's just a theory, and I'll admit that it's not perfect.

This is just my interpretation, but I think Kurumi is happy with the marriage. She might not be in love with Ruriko the same way Ruriko is with her, but she is just as satisfied with the relationship.

We need to go deeper. Next have them hit by Truck-kun and end up in a medieval fantasy setting. After that put them in a yuri harem situation with a few other girls. And then finally have them form an idol unit... while also being magical girls.

Yeah, because the series is a drama. Also, have you not been paying attention to the story? The thing with Mogumo's parents has been building up for, at least, the last few chapters. Not exactly what I would call "forced".

That's fair. Not every series is going to suit everyone's tastes. For example: I could never get interested in Game of Thrones despite its popularity.

I say that exactly because it's been "building up" for a while: it was all very predictable how it would go. From when we "met" the father (or even before that), I knew how the drama would go up and then wind down after "a lot of shouting".

Personally, I don't think predictable necessarily equals bad.

The characters are oversimplified caricatures.

If they 'think' they've seen Mai at a brothel... Wouldn't it help if she actually ASKS any of the ladies she orders if they know a Mai and maybe show them the picture? That'd be too easy i guess? xD

Asumi couldn't do that. She's paying these ladies for their services, and to talk about another girl when they're trying to please her would be rude.

Edit: Although, now that I think about it, Sion's behavior in this comic could be interpreted as her being a jealous girlfriend.

This is my theory for Akari: I suspect that somehow her future self's emotions are flowing into her past self. Thus explaining why she immediately trusts Menou despite haven't known her for too long.
