Every chapter I read this and I wonder “how did we go from dumb little gag manga of a girl trying to get her male teacher to drink a love potion and messing it up and getting girls to fall for her instead, to THIS?” lol
I do love Mochi and this manga, but it’s just so WEIRD how it evolved over time. We went from “simple joke done a few different ways” to “overarching high school drama with 30+ distinct individual characters each with their own personalities, lore, and interconnected relationships, all set across various dramatic arcs where our brash yet charismatic heroine solves problems and pulls bitches through the power of “fuck you, get along!””
It’s gonna be so weird one of these days when I finally get around to rereading all this from chapter 1
I'll be honest, I was skeptical on how it changed midway. this should've ended a few volumes back if Toudou were to succeeded on getting with the male teacher. I think Mochi have pulled off the "Watamote / It's not my fault that I'm not popular" manga. the main character, Tomoko, went from being a gloomy, unsociable loner going thru various social anxiety gags to being an optimistic, sociable girl with her harem group. here, the love poison gag have slowly dissipated into story driven escapades.
