Prillya is a great manga with or without the yuri. If you are not a Type-Moon or at least Fate fan I think it's not as worth it, but the art and story are a lot better in the manga, so there is that. The yuri subtext is absolutely there and Illya x Miyu is the main ship of the manga still. Just don't expect it to actually go anywhere. This is still a magical girl parody, so committing to a relationship is pretty unlikely.

^It's not a het romance anime. It's not a romance anime at all actually. And the eventual bi-harem has both men and women in it, so it can't be het by default.

A lot of Subaru's works it's just an overly pushy girl assaults a quiet girl and the quiet girl either says no (but gradually warms up because sex feels good) or CAN'T say no because pushy girl keeps kissing her.

Indeed, it's quite regrettable. The art is always very good, but Homura Subaru's writing is bottom of the barrel tier. I know asking for a little more than a very thin excuse to have 10 pages of sex is maybe a bit selfish when it concerns hentai, but without any emotion it's just a lot of tits and humping.

Sex always overrules personality, agency and logic in these works. At least this time it wasn't just several buckets worth of lactation.

It's true, this remains the best one-shot on this site.

The term when being used by the LGBT side has a much different meaning from this nonsensical and biased abuse by judges that it may have been in the past. This has nothing to do with taking power back, the term will simply evolve to mean something entirely else over time, as language always tends to go. Don't be afraid to use words just because of bad history. If it's something as vague as putting together the word gay and panic, then your definition is as good as anyone's. Nobody's gonna scream "I am having a gay panic defense law right now!".

^I love Prillya for the humor, plot and amazing lore integrations. The author is an absolute TM fanboy and gave us some of the coolest Fate moments disguised as a comedic magical girl parody. The loli fanservice is the only blemish on the series imo.
There is obviously a very strong case for Illya x Miyu being the main couple. It's kind of what has been worked on since chapter 1. I'd say this has been yuri subtext from the start. In fact it's not been all that subtle at all.

I'll be honest if Izumi made a full commitment on trying to make Nanaki fall in love with her, I would be behind her all the way at this point.

God, I would love a story that just pivoted the assumed end pairing around a love triangle midway through that could be really interesting to see.

I keep thinking there was such a story, but I just can't bring it to mind at the moment. One of those complicated Takemiya Jin things, maybe . . .

Well there is Joou-sama no Eshi technically speaking. It's even a mixed triangle with a guy, but the lesbian ultimately wins the heroine in the end.

It's just that the story is more about the manga industry than anything. And how we got to the ultimate hook-up at the end was a bit badly telegraphed in the first half, but alas it fits all the critera.
