Still think addressing the conflicts first would've been more satisfying writing, but it got resolved fast so we cool.

Uhhhh....I didn't really get the ending. I get that MariAli authors just like the angst of them being separated, but I'm pretty much never satisfied with the reasoning. This time she DOES become a youkai magician and somehow that's why she's alone now? That seriously needed some fleshing out.

Still, I really liked the stories in the middle so that's a win anyway. Thanks again for the translation.

Oh man, this one was so good. The idea of showing both of their perspectives while blurring which is which is already cool, but two artists taking turns to draw it makes it even better. Both really nice artists, too (though some of Toran's stories are anything but nice).

This MariAli rennaisance is adding years to my life.

This pic is gonna stick with me. I'm gonna be haunted by the thought that you actually could 100% manipulate Bocchi into murder by making it even a little awkward to say no. I'm so worried about this girl, I really am.

I don't go for vtuber ships too much, but this is just really good.

I just caught up with this and I REALLY like that the dreaded mom's not actually that bad. The fact that she ultimately meant well and had her reasons was kind of expected, but the way she readily acknowledged her daughter's growth was a really pleasant surprise.
And sure, this is great because I'm happy for Hinako and because I wasn't asking for serious drama from an otherwise comfy read, but I also really like the acknowledgement that you don't need horrifying abuse to turn out kinda depressed. I mean, her family's still far from ideal, but you know.

The latest 2021 popularity poll (I'm not doing a touhou census myself) counts 206 characters, but at a glance the bottom 50 at least is troll picks (with all due respect to "hobgoblin" and "salt merchant" I'm sure they're cool guys). So let's round it down to 150.

Unrelated thought, but I'd really like if this manga pulled a Horimiya and just kept going after the romantic tension gets resolved.
