I don't think it's a bad setup if handled properly. He's not interfering with the relationship right now, and he can act in two valuable ways: (1) being the catalyst for creating a relationship with a character the MC would normally not interact with, and (2) serving to highlight the positive qualities of the love interest in a way the MC might not have noticed on her own.
As long as he ends up supporting the relationship in the end, I'm in favor of his role in this story.

I made a script that can be used with the Stylus add in that will give Dynasty a rudimentary dark mode. There's a lot to be desired, but it'll probably help people who feel the site is too bright by default. I encourage anyone else to post their own or improve on what I have.

How about hidden tags that would not be visible to people but would hide something if it's been blacklisted by an account? There are a lot of releases that don't get one tag or another to prevent spoilers, but certain tags (cheating, incest, rape, etc.) could trigger people. I wholeheartedly agree with at least delaying certain tags to maintain the author's intended experience, and I think this could be a good way of doing that whilst keeping certain readers from getting hurt.
