Also, if this fight is meant to look like Manaria is just giving rei a push in the right direction, its way to brutal for that. Causing someone severe internal bleeding for the lulz seems very excessive and the audiences reactions confirm this. If this level of injury was standard for magic duels, this wouldnt not be cause for much concern. So basically weve had this really op character walk in, challange rei to a duel she can be confident in winning, proceed to fuck rei up considerably, and this is supposed to be for the sake of the relationship ? It feels really rather poorly done. (Unless rei coughing up blood is some kinda asspull and not actually a serious injury in which case that harms the writing quality even more)

You wouldn't have liked the WN version, since in it the spell caused blood to erupt from all over Rei's body.

The spell causes all of the magical power in a mage's body to go out of control, harming the mage. Rei possesses so much magical power that it can't be measured, meaning Dominator would cause far more harm to her than it would to anyone else. As I recall, Manaria wasn't aware that Rei was so powerful, so she may not have expected to hurt Rei so badly. But even if she had, I have to point out again, Rei had just tried to kill Manaria a moment before. The fight had already gotten out of hand.

Yeah, she really is. I can't imagine any way I could come to like her, she seems to enjoy making Rei suffer and going completely overboard to the point where Rei is coughing up fucking blood.

While I do think Manaria is absolutely pushing her nose into things that she has no business interfering in, I would like to point out that Rei DID just try to kill her.

On page 4 both of them have a very distinct shape in their eyes: an image of something. But I can't make out what.

Anyway, Sukoya continues to say just the right things to suggset that she knows the truth, but still periodically says/does things that indicate otherwise. I don't know what to think of this girl.

Nice cameos by Hololive girls. Suisei tends to be the go-to example of one who had to stop faking her voice due to how it was hurting her, though I seem to remember that a few of the others have done that as well.

^ I have not played either Rage of Bahamut or Granblue Fantasy (the two games these two appear in), but my understanding based on my reading is that most if not all of the female potential party members in the games are designed to show at least some affection towards the protagonist simply because that's the demographic the games are designed to appeal to. However, all the lore content I've found indicates that the person they each truly care for is each other.

One thing I don't get at all, however, is the part about Youzi's mom losing her job. Wtf? No tv station in the world fires an actress because her little kid got into a fight in preschool! Come on, that's not a thing!

What if the kid's dad works for whoever Youzi's mom was working for at that time?

I would happily watch another twelve seasons of these two.

Seriously. Them not catching on is the suspension of disbelief-breaking moment for me. Sure, most people won't immediately assume that someone who sounds like a famous person actually IS that famous person, but these are vtuber fans, and you've given one of the most prominent examples of how they jump to conclusions.

...I say all that like it's some horrible failure in this manga, but really I'm still enjoying it. Though I do wish the truth would come out and our two would get together and the story would continue just with girlfriend antics rather than friend antics.

I love this! Do you think the Satsuki is actually real? I mean, sorawos biggest fear would be satsuki, so the fact that only she perceives her kinda makes you wonder if she isnt just being played with.

Given the theory that the Otherside emits some sort of psychoactive effect that both influences the brain to cause fear, and creates things that people fear their minds, that would not be impossible. Chances are that we'll never know for sure, though. Nothing is ever actually proven about the Otherside, people just come up with theories that seem to fit the facts as they know them.

I mean, a connection between Sorawo and Satsuki has been implied, but that’s just an artifact of the source material, not a folklore reference.
For those who don’t know, this series seems to have grown out of the author’s touhou fanfic, focused on the secret sealing club characters, and become it’s own thing. I don’t feel like explaining the SSC setting, but it’s fairly similar, if a bit more mystical than scientific. Go read about it if you’re curious. Adds some interesting interpretations for Urapi if you wanna extrapolate.

^ Just for the sake of keeping everything straight, neither Sana nor hololive have officially stated a reason as to why Sana is graduating. It is very easy to infer that it is due to her health, however, and perhaps the fact that she doesn't foresee a future where she can return to streaming with any regularity.
