So, what went wrong? I read White Angels Have no Wings till chapter 50 but seeing how it ended at 77 discouraged me from reading further as there was a lot to be resolved and I couldn't see it all happening in just 27 more chapters, especially considering the pacing up until then.

Tbh, this chapter felt kinda... I don't know what to say.

Yuzu revealed the truth to her mother, her step-father and her best friend, and they all took it well. And that's good. But it seems like things are going far too well too fast all of a sudden. Especially considering the number of preceding chapters that took their time building up this much angst/drama. I'm not complaining with the results, but if this was going to happen, then chapter 24 seemed like the perfect time to do it. Sure, Yuzu today =/= Yuzu 15 chapters ago, but at this rate, Grandpa will likely be just as much accepting in the next chapter. Totally anti climatic.

Maybe Shou will return to free Mei from the burden (or not). He seemed ready to lend Yuzu his "strength", whatever that means.

This escalated a lot quicker than I'd have liked. But, oh well, I remember feeling the same about Bloom into You's 1st chapter :D. Not that I expect similar level of writing, but it's probably too early to lose interest when I've seen only 2 chapters.

@juanelric I'd suggest you dive into it without knowing much about it beforehand. I'm pretty sure you'll find it pleasantly surprising. The first 10 chapters kinda act like the foundation to the plot. Chapter 10 is where the drama takes off seriously, and boy is it good. It's one of the best yuri manga I've read.

Wow, Touko's a brilliant actress (unsurprisingly). In the play, she instantly adopts the persona her friend describes to her, and goes on to happily & enthusiastically welcome her younger brother, ignorant of their relationship. I love how she gets so deep in her character and changes accordingly with each visit. Feels like I'm actually there among the audiences. The next chapter is going to be good.

Yuu just realized that quick gratification is not something Touko needs at that point (despite both of them obviously wanting that kiss). And being the good nurse she is, Yuu used Touko's desire as leverage to make her swallow some bitter medicine, which thankfully worked as intended.

These are one of the best lines I've seen in the comments section :D

I'm starting to read it a second time, it's stupid and probably not relevant, but Kurosawa did her confession kiss at the same place as their first kiss - there and back again, that's cute!

I'm glad this was brought up. I like how they came back to where it all started. But boy has it been quite a journey. This kiss looked like it meant a lot more to Kurosawa than when she just 'casually' kissed Shiramine back then. Seeing that difference is quite gratifying :D

I'm leaning more towards the right half, although all of them look amazingly badass.

Instead of trying to get better (like Shiramine did), they excluded Yurine because she was too good so it was like "cheating". No wonder she was bitter and looked down on them. Not a single one tried to improve. They just either idolized her ("she's something else") and so she was dismissed as an anomaly, or they made sure she didn't outshine them by excluding her.

I actually don't see why she should apologize. if you feel inferior, just get better.

And that's why she loves Shiramine.

But really, this chapter was a breath of fresh air after whole 3 volumes of angst. Yui and Takako's story especially, has been nothing but one of misery.

I read this around a year ago and found it somewhat unsatisfying, personally.

I'm sure many have already complained about the ending. But this isn't where the fault lies IMO. Love & pieces is what gave me mixed feelings. For all that emphasis FoL has on being accepting & open about one's feelings, L&P really stands out. Matsu and Yui seem like a pair of idiots just going on assuming "this is best for her", "this is best for me" and such without ever confiding in each other. They'd have spared themselves a lot of painful memories had they been more honest. Heck even after all these years, they haven't really confirmed their feelings for each other. Just when are they going to confess? In their death bed? Geez.
Well that may just be their style though. Who am I to judge. At least they're together of sorts now so that's good.

One more thing, I'm not convinced with how Mayu's brother was presented. He's just used as a tool for advancing the plot about the MCs and is cast aside as soon as it's done. Poor guy doesn't even get a partner!

Sorry about my rant. The new chapters are good. It's just coming here brought back the memories of not-so-sweet taste this manga left on me a year back :D
