Well, normal people would see a large difference between disagreeing over whether trans women are women vs disagreeing about whether a fictional character has romantic feelings for another fictional character.

Or disagreeing about whether the people saying "interracial marriage is a conspiracy to destroy the white race" are ironic in their nazism vs disagreeing about whether a fictional child model hitting on a fictional high school lolicon says something about the modeling industry.

But I suppose if you see all disagreement no matter what over as being comparable then you and I will just have to disagree on that.

I mean, if you don't want to read conversations about the work like you don't have to participate in the thread. This sort of thread is always going to tend towards reading into things, at times more than necessary. Like, I disagree with some of the things being said but I don't think using "triggered" as a pejorative, especially when it doesn't apply here, and saying people aren't the intended audience helps things. It just pushes it further toward being personal and people yelling at each other. As an experienced at yeller-atter, I'd know.

People who enjoy the work are talking about the characters and the events and have different interpretations. Some of them are wrong. And we'll have disagreements about which ones those are. But that's all it is.

This, from you out of all people- I've got to say, is incredibly funny.

I really wish they will- if not accept, at least acknowledge it. But I'll be honest, the combo muslim country + religious teachers kind of alarms me. Have you ever brought one of the two subjecst in a discussion with them before ? Are they, or do they seem tolerant ?

If not, I personally would start by just revealing just my agnosticism, to see how they would react..
Anyway, good luck; I have trouble imagining how much courage you've got to muster to come out ! Hope everything will go smoothly.

I guess I'm the only one fond of cheating here. It's easier and more pleasurable to live on a hedonist way; which is what the mother seems to be doing, and which I value.

The ideal being to find a good compromise between agreefests and pointless arguments, I guess. But debates here are in general interesting, civic and remain polite.
Anyhow there is always moderators to shut the discussion down if it degenerates, so you can serenely use the forum as much as you want, FluffyHugs.

Opening a thread? I only recall mentioning all of that here, the off topic café dedicated to. There is another nuance between entering a debate purposely and bumping into one when reading a chapter discussion.
And since you seem to be bothered by my aforementioned comments, you may start by applying your wise advice to yourself : don't like my comment? Don't respond to it. It's not that difficult.

I'm trying hard to find where and when I expressed my dislike of the community. Strangely enough, I only remember sighing because sometimes, there are some really worthless debates. If you like to nuance as much as your first comment suggests, then that is one you should have done.

... Notwithstanding the fact that I've extolled several times the same community I apparently dislike for its tolerance and how smooth most users are. Too bad you're preventing me from replacing most by every, though.

Why is it that I really don't hear men get told the same thing? I don't hear promiscuous men being called sluts, being told that their lifestyle isn't healthy, that they should respect themselves more, that they're easy, that they're throwing themselves to just anyone, that they sleep around. I don't hear them get mocked and degraded but rather glorified? Praised? They hold pride in it and feel desirable, it's something to brag about.
But women, women no. Promiscuity is shameful and repressed. Don't do it. If you did, don't talk about it, don't let it get around, don't let others know, keep it to yourself or others will look down on you.
If it's a behaviour people really find deplorable, shouldn't men be told the same thing, shamed the same way? If it's found acceptable for men, perhaps it's not about the behaviour itself in the first place, but the mentality and expectations ppl have for women.
("players" don't get frowned on for sleeping around either, they get judged for "breaking hearts", and leading ppl on, not the same kind of "judgement".)

Can we please avoid this; having a [sterile] debate, or rather a complaint about women not being viewed the same way as men when sleeping with numerous people is probably the last thing I want to see here, especially after these two pointless pages of drama around the word slut.

Cuz 99% male artisits suck at yuri. And Mira doesn't. So she is a female.

Kuttsukiboshi, Yurikuma Arashi, Madoka Magica, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Attack On Titan (Which has a cannon Yuri side-couple) are all created by male's. And the Sono Hanabira OVA was directed by a guy.
