The Good Fight features a lesbian protagonist with a stable relationship that she has from the beginning of the show. Really digging it.

books with lesbian romance (sub)plots

This one.

Alright. One I've read most recently was The Masked Empire by Patrick Weekes, although I'm not sure whether you're into video game tie-in novels. It does have the romance between an empress and her spy master as one of the central subplots.

I love Dragon Age, haven't read The Masked Empire yet.

I'll be sure to check all these recs out, thanks!

(Also love Deadly Premonition, so it's perfect)

Read Sarah Waters books :)

Tipping the Velvet, Affinity, Fingersmith, The Paying Guests

MAYBE (cuz I didn't read it yet) The Night Watch too

http://www.sarahwaters.com/books/ :)

I did watch all of her movie adaptions, I was thinking about reading Fingersmith but I wasn't sure the movie ruined it for me because it's usually less exciting once I know what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion.

So I've been reading a lot of ''yuri'' books like Annie on my Mind and Empress of the World.

I was wondering if anyone has recommendations on what to read next because there are so many and I'm completely lost. I usually read but I took an unintentional break from it due to lack of motivation, lack of time and laziness in general.

Now that I've picked it up again I would love to focus more on books with yuri as main focus, if possible in multiple genres aswell.

I like fantasy and (psychological) thrillers the most. Of course just romance focusing on the relationship of two women would be great aswell.

So far I've read:
Annie on my Mind
Empress of the World
Second Mango

edit: Annie on my Mind is by far the best one so far, imo.

I've ordered:
Keeping you a Secret
Fried Green Tomatoes

PS: Here's my Goodreads page, if anyone even uses goodreads that is.

Horizon Zero Dawn is amazing so far. Aloy is a bold and unapologetically rude character and I love her.

Have played 16h so far and I'm sure I'm only about halfway through. It's a challenging game with interesting concepts while keeping the best elements of a dynamic action adventure.

I find it cringeworthy how adults get into fights over a show that is targeted at kids (mostly). Like I get enjoying it as an adult too but people should be mindful of the younger audience.

Thi has ruined a big part of the show for me.

Five Steps To Accept Farewell

Wow, this actually made me tear up. At first I just thought it was cold but the end really had an impact. I wonder how all closeted lesbians/bisexuals feel in Korea, it seems so cruel to me because she probably loved her a lot but because of social standards that would otherwise literally push her into depression and maybe suicide she decided she had to leave her.

I'm impressed how many details they put into these 9 minutes. For 7 minutes I kept thinking it was one sided and then that one scene changes everything.

as far as i'm aware there's no more yuris for you to fish that isn't subtext or implied

Onii-sama e... is the greatest yuri anime out there and I believe a lot of people missed out on it. 100% yuri and! good.

As One (korean movie, with bae doona :>) one of my favorite movies, by far. And it's about sports!! ping pong to be exact.
Lily Fever (korean webseries)
Majisuka Gakuen (japanese series) all seasons have yuri subtext, season 2 is my fav
Chinese Botanist's Daughter (chinese movie) tragic but beautiful
Saki (japanese live action series, adapted from manga)
Our Love Story (korean movie)
Seonam Girls High School Detectives (korean series, kdrama) ep 11 and 12 focus on a intense hidden relationship between two girls, def worth watching just for those episodes.
A Girl at My Door (korean movie) with bae doona again but this one is not so pleasant
Daughters of Bilitis Club (korean series) got cancelled after 3 eps because of controversy
Blue (japanese movie)
Fatal Frame (japanese movie)
Whispering Corridors (japanese movie(s)) a movie franchise
Miao Miao (taiwanese movie) lovely! def worth watching but also a little too relatable
Yes or No (thai movie) has a sequel, Yes or No 2
Transit Girls (japanese series, jdrama) fluff, worth watching
The Handmaiden (korean movie) #lots of sex
Spider Lilies (taiwanese movie)
Saving Face (chinese/american movie)

There are so many, it's hard picking out the ones worth mentioning/watching.

Potential content in Riverdale. A new Netflix remake of the Archie Comics and they've changed up quite a few things. There's a kiss in the first episode but it's probably bait. Episode 1 is out.

Otherwise: Claymore

Although Claymore has lots of yuri subtext.

Kuzu no Honkai's 3rd episode really is something. I'm glad to see a more ''relatable'' lesbian out there in anime. One that actually gets taken serious.

Saki's live action series stayed true to its yuri roots if anyone was wondering.

Regina and Emma are gonna be trapped together (without any of the others, literally just them) in an alternate universe for Season 6B so that might interest some who've dropped the show already, like me.

I've given up on Swan Queen ever being canon tho.

Fire Emblem romance based

Oh right, I forgot, in the new fire emblem you can romance one female character with the F!Unit, at least it's something, and well, the story and characters are also good in my opinion, so you can play it because of that too.

Kingdoms of Amalur canon and they're both the main focus of the story (protag and another MC, had no idea this one existed until I played it)

I also didn't know that this game had romance in it, I played a little bit of it and didn't dislike it.
Story and immersion are really good, it reminded me a bit of some MMO, but I was under the impression that it had zero romance because of how things were developing, would you mind telling me more about it? I'm now really curious about who this character is and in which part of the main story does she appear

It's a character that accompanies you through the entire game, she's mysterious so the backstory behind your protagonist and her reveals little by little so in the beginning you'll have no clue what she's up to but I was surprised by how well written their relationship is.

I don't want to spoil too much because you want to experience it for yourself if you play it, it's really worth it. Anyways she doesn't leave the story until the game ends, that's for sure. Her name is Alyn Shir.

And of course there are dialogue options so you can choose to be an absolute butt to her but if you pick the romantic/affectionate dialogue you'll be more than happy.

Oh yeah and the Legend of Korra game, Korra has like one line about Asami, not sure if you're that thirsty but I sure as hell was.

bolding those that haven't been mentioned yet:

Mass Effect franchise (romance based)
Dragon Age franchise (romance based)
Jade Empire (romance based)
The Last Of Us canon
Borderlands the Pre-Sequel canon
Tales from the Borderlands canon
Dragon's Dogma romance based
Pokémon Sun/Moon with heavy yuri goggles tho
Life is Strange canon/choice based
Undertale canon
Final Fantasy XIII franchise fang and vanille are heavily implied
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Maker canon, but not worth the play just for the yuri imo
Skyrim romance based
Kingdoms of Amalur canon and they're both the main focus of the story (protag and another MC, had no idea this one existed until I played it)
Saints Row IV ''romance'' based, but kinzie and your protag are hella gay in SR3 already
Tomb Raider heavily implied I'd say
Gone Home canon and main focus of game
Overwatch: ??? has a gay character in it idk
Oxenfree with yuri goggles
SOMA heavily implied
Fire Emblem romance based

and then there's always The Sims I guess?
