Cute! Love seeing some Airi x Shizuku at the end too.

Yep, Lycoris Recoil.

Chisato x Takina.

EDIT: Omg, this comment was meant to be a reply to another one asking if this belonged to a series LOL.

I dislike Eri so much. Funnily enough all this is only making me feel bad for the Senpai and Kyou, not Fuyuki or Eri. Can you imagine going on a date with someone and they spend the entire time talking about someone else?

I don't feel bad. I mean she knew Fuyuki has feelings for Eri yet still took her on a date, that's on her really

Really? You can be aware of someone's feeling for another person and still ask them out. That doesn't mean they have to rub it into your face, especially on a date...

I did feel bad for the senpai as well. I wouldn't go as far as saying that I dislike both main characters though, but they sure are selfish and living in their own bubble where they can only see each other...

I feel bad for Kyou for sure, but I'm pretty sure senpai doesn't actually have feelings for Fuyuki, so in my opinion, she kinda knew what she was getting into (especially because she's known about this since high school).

What a misunderstanding, haha. I can see why they didn't consider the option of riding together though. Most likely, it's because they're both of lower standing than Michel (Elsa even more so than Yvonne), so if he invites them to ride with him, it's difficult to turn him down.

... At least, that's what I'm choosing to believe.

This series has just got the AXE. It ends on chapter 19 I believe. Just read the official twitter and manga authors accounts. This is an alarming trend when it comes to... certain types of Yuri. I hope that it's just a coincidence.

I believe the newest update was chapter 19, but the author plans on it ending in 2 more chapters (chapter 21.) It was reported to end on chapter 20, but the author tweeted to clear it up.

Thanks! I must've missed it.

Hello buding here! I'm more of a lurker usually but I created an account here just to say thanks to everyone who have been paitently waiting for our chapters!

As most of you have said and seen, this manga deals with more complicated feelings and subtext. While as readers, we are able to immediately see who's being dumb and all, I hope you'll be able to enjoy this series better if you remember that they're just fresh college students, they aren't really mentally mature enough to make smart decisions (although personally I applaud Kyouhei for standing his ground against Eri's shenanigans instead of just accepting everything she says).

We'll continue to work on chapter 5 (which is the last chapter of Volume 1) and chapter 6, and hope everyone will be still here for the ride!

Thanks for your hard work!

Can I ask if "buding" is meant to be something like "pudding"?

Nooo, I don't want it to end. I feel so sentimental about this series particularly because I was also in high school when this first came out in 2015 and I started reading it from the first chapter, so I feel like I practically grew up with this manga. I've been hovering around Sakurako & Kasumi's age the entire time it's been out (since it follows our time IRL).

I'm pretty sure Ruriko slapped her as a kneejerk reaction when all of her feelings reached a boiling point and subsequently exploded. Not to normalize or justify physical abuse, but this is certainly not what I would consider it as. For one thing, Kurumi is the drunk one and she suddenly grabbed Ruriko to kiss her on the cheek, something that is seemingly out of character for her. Sure, Ruriko could've simply shoved her away, but I think her slap was meant to convey the same thing, and it's more dramatic anyway.

I know there are a lot of people rooting for their development and view this as a frustrating step backwards. Honestly, there were probably a dozen different ways they could've revealed their feelings for each other, but hey, guess we're going the drama route, which I think is fine. The two of them aren't perfect, and pretty much every single chapter shown from Ruriko's POV is about her feelings towards Kurumi and her insecurities surrounding them. She's spent their entire marriage anticipating the day Kurumi would inevitably leave her and tried to convince herself she was okay with this, but in recent chapters (including this one), she's become more greedy in hoping that she could be special to Kurumi and not just another one of the many things Kurumi loves. Obviously, this is not healthy for Ruriko, who also has no idea that Kurumi has come to reciprocate her feelings little by little.

So this chapter's slap, while it could've been handled much better, kind of makes sense to me. Not only did the kiss on Ruriko's cheek catch her off guard, but Kurumi was totally wasted. There's the possibility that Ruriko was frustrated that her feelings were being treated so lightly (not Kurumi's fault, since she isn't supposed to be aware of Ruriko's romantic feelings for her), that Kurumi could kiss her so easily while being drunk of all things without taking into account how Ruriko would feel.

Honestly, I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure a lot of little things welled up in Ruriko in that one moment and it literally exploded all at once. That girl has been shouldering a ton of anxiety ever since they got married, so I'm not even surprised. But seeing how these two have been able to sit down and talk things out together (the trash incident, the hospitalization, etc.), I'm sure they'll be just fine, even if it hurt a lot in the moment.

I stalked the author and manga's Twitter accounts and found nothing. There's a possibility I didn't search far enough though, so just in case, is there a source link for this?

I read up until chapter 19 (raws) as well. Slightly different from what conradin said, but (warning: spoilers from chapters after 14):

Essentially, over the last few chapters, Sena becomes more aware of the support she has around her. Most notably, she tells Kiku that at first, she disliked her and never wanted to see her again, but things are different now. From a previous chapter, Sena is worried over not knowing what love is. She also knows she can't keep Kiku waiting when it comes to deciding whether or not to continue their relationship. ALSO, it's kinda cute because Kiku repeatedly tells Sena she's willing to wait for her, but Sena knows despite what Kiku says, she's getting a little impatient (not in a bad way, lol).

Anyway, Sena eventually acknowledges Kiku as a comfortable presence in her life and tells her on her birthday that she wishes to continue this relationship with her as lovers, which makes Kiku cry, something that surprises them both.

I can't imagine the manga ending on chapter 19 nonetheless. Maybe a few chapters later, but also not likely imo.

So, why exactly does Natori suddenly have a calculator on her? O_o

She had her handbag with her when she got summoned, so I guess she carries one around! You never know when one of your scumbag no-good freeloading coworkers will ask you to do basic sums for them

I'm not even kidding, my mom used to carry a calculator exactly like that with her in her purse. It was just used for whenever she was shopping to calculate stuff like taxes and discounts, back when she didn't own a smartphone. This has to be like almost 15 years ago though and this comment made me remember this random fact that I'd forgotten LOL

Damn. When I saw the mangaka's name, I immediately recognized them as the mangaka of "Watashi ni xx Shinasai", a shoujo manga I read probably over a decade ago. I was pleasantly surprised that they also drew yuri and such a cute one-shot at that!

I absolutely love how Fuyuki is taking all of this in stride (well, as level headed as one can be in this situation) and how she composes herself. Power to you, girl.

I read the available raws so far. Part 1 of chapter 4 just dropped today, but it seems that Chaosteam is translating a chapter when both parts are out (good choice), which means chapter 3 is due anytime.

For those who are more spoiler hungry, you can read about chapter 3 & 4.1 below (also, this is by memory because the site has taken down chapter 3 LOL so apologies for any minor mistakes):

The mysterious senpai is Fuyuki’s high school senpai. It turns out that Fuyuki is a year younger than Kyouhei and Eri, and she went to a different high school from Eri. We can see that the senpai and Fuyuki are somewhat close, but there’s a reasonable amount of room for doubt. When Eri introduces herself, the senpai seems to know about her (implying Fuyuki used to talk about her). The senpai quickly takes her leave after introductions without stirring up any sort of trouble or drama.

Meanwhile, as Eri and Fuyuki have their coffee together, Eri starts asking about the senpai, getting upset that she didn’t know of her existence. Fuyuki is a little perplexed by this because she believes it’s only natural that Eri didn’t know about the senpai since they went to different high schools. Eri doubles down and is seemingly jealous that Fuyuki hid this senpai’s existence from her, but Fuyuki instead is like ??? she’s just a normal upperclassman from school???

The scene switches and they’re on the way home. Fuyuki apologizes for not mentioning the senpai, but states that everybody has things they’re keeping from other people, and that’s okay. This, however, prompts Eri to reveal that she and Kyouhei have started dating. Eri apologizes, stating she only wanted to keep it a secret from Fuyuki to avoid hurting her, but Fuyuki takes this in stride. At the end of this chapter, Fuyuki apologizes in her head for keeping something else from Eri. It turns out that in high school, she had her first kiss with her senpai. It is implied both of them knew of their respective crushes on other people, and they decided to kiss each other out of comfort.

Chapter 4.1:
The chapter starts with Eri begging Fuyuki to hang out with her and Kyouhei the next day, but Fuyuki respectfully declines as she has a ton of homework to do, and she thinks that she should have some alone time with her new boyfriend. Eri is disgusted at Fuyuki referring to Kyouhei as her “boyfriend”. Fuyuki points out that the two of them haven’t hung out alone ever since they started dating, but Eri corrects her and says they probably haven’t hung out with each other alone ever since they started university. Eri then confesses that when she thinks about dating Kyouhei, something just doesn’t feel right, and then once again, asks Fuyuki to accompany her on the date.

The date itself rolls around, and out of habit, Eri pokes Kyouhei and calls him “Fuyuki” before remembering that she isn’t there. Eri then asks how long they have left until the movie and Kyouhei says about an hour and a half, but Eri grumbles wondering what they could even do until then. She scolds Kyouhei for not coming up with a plan and says that she likes it when she’s being escorted around on a date properly. Kyouhei admits that he didn’t come up with one out of fear that she would laugh at him, but Eri promises she would never laugh at somebody putting in an effort. Kyouhei is touched and promises that he’ll do it properly next time, but when Eri hears that there’ll be a “next time”, she finds herself deeply unsettled with that idea.

Meanwhile, Fuyuki notices that she’s out of treats for her dog, so she decides to go out and buy them, but strictly chooses to avoid taking a detour to the bookstore close to where Eri & Kyouhei are having their date. This is where chapter 4.1 ends.

Just went back to reread chapter 1. I wonder what could’ve happened that would make Satsuki regret saving Komachi, considering how much she values human lives! Obviously, the implication is that saving her is going to cause more deaths (somewhat akin to the trolley problem), but curious about how it’s going to go down.

I don't know why but the line "I just happened to be there when she popped off on her" gave me quite a chuckle.

And what is this a prequel to? And which girl is Bun actually in love with the best friend or the douchy top celeb girl?

Seems like Bun-chan is in love with Mahiro for now, but I'm not discounting the possibility that she might come to like the senpai later.

This was far better than i was expected.
More become this probably the quickless couple that the author has make ( Haganai take many vol to had one anyway)

"Oh my golf" LOL I'll be using that one from now on...

And also, I just realized that as the title insinuates, the yuri indeed progressed before Yukari made her deadline.

This story unearthed traumatic memories from my own previous relationships. I kept looking at Glasses and seeing myself 10 years ago, 20 years ago. It's played for laughs in the story, but Glasses is internalizing an unhealthy level of self censorship and associated tension. She's unwittingly trained herself to cater tirelessly to her girlfriend's notably lazy and confusing attempts at communication, with a sort of masochism which Glasses herself seems unaware that she's placing on herself. Even if Mayumayu didn't torment Glasses and threaten her constantly--like a grotesque creep--Glasses' own self-abnegation has clearly damaged her psyche, and made her a nervous wreck. Glasses probably already operates with a higher degree of tension than is healthy, but she needs a more supportive partner, who doesn't weigh down celebrations and gift exchanges with catastrophic threats.

You can say that both partners here have agreed to this relationship, so no one should split them asunder, but Glasses is clearly traumatized here, and holding on for dear life. The relationship has been a long one, and Glasses indicates that this has been the status quo the whole time. I think of it a bit like the traumatized soldiers who come to feel more at home on the battlefield than off it; regardless of what the soldier thinks they want, it isn't a healthy attitude for them, and they generally need help to get rid of this subliminal programming––it's a defense mechanism kicking into gear to help them survive their trauma. It isn't who they are at a baseline level; it's the adrenaline doing the talking. Well, it's the adrenaline talking with Glasses, too. She's made it this far, and it makes her feel like she's achieved something, and she subliminally feels closer to Mayumayu as a result. It probably only rarely occurs to her how much the relationship is stressing her out--but it's very clear in the comic, and it's what makes the comic such an uncomfortable read. And even though the knife Mayumayu brandishes could be read as metaphorical, just what is it standing in for? Let's not forget, Glasses is so worried about not guessing the correct cake to eat, she is definitely––not merely metaphorically––doing self-harm, and buying herself extra time with her emotionally unstable girlfriend in order to hopefully get the answer to the question. Nonetheless, punching herself in the face is clearly standing in for some torment Glasses thinks her girlfriend would want her to suffer for not getting the riddle right so far. It's a pretty good indication that Glasses at least perceives Mayumayu's angry responses to her as coming with a measure of deliberate hurt attached. You might say all that indicates is Glasses' perception of the stakes of this game, but we see a lot of evidence that Mayumayu is playing along with it, and it certainly seems like the way the game is played in the story is the usual way the game is played between these two––with Glasses the put-upon one, expected to perform to prove herself worthy, and Mayumayu as the judge of Glasses' performance, and the one who doles out punishments and rewards.

To my mind, Glasses would do better with a more even-keeled girlfriend, who treated her like a partner in their relationship, rather than treating her as someone continually auditioning to be treated like a human being. And I think Mayumayu needs to be alone––at least for a while. She needs to learn to judge which of her expectations of people are reasonable, and she needs to learn how to handle disappointments with responses more appropriate to the nature of disappointment in question. Based on my own experience, I'm probably more naturally biased towards Glasses, but I have to admit that Glasses' own unacknowledged masochism has probably led her into this situation. However, that is, I think, a trait which might most often dissipate without the expectation by her partner to be constantly performing this masochism, as a demonstration of devotion.

Anyways, in spite of the pretty drawings, the story of this one really harshed my vibe. I guess it's a little funny, but it bothered me much more than it entertained.

Oh god, this also unearthed the traumatic memories I had just coming out of my recent relationship a few months ago, LOL.

Still, I can understand the characters and their relationship are both fictional and exaggerated, so this one-shot was alright, but I guess it also harshed my vibe a little for personal reasons.
