Okay this is amazing. I'm not sure why the harem thing is putting people off. As excellent as the dynamic of these two is, adding more into the mix could still be fun.

Actually, I've see quite a few comments on this site across various works, complaining when things look like they might go the poly route, and I don't really get why.

I'm not going to say it's most but a lot of yuri fans tend to read yuri for the intimate relationships between women generally and harems of the het, yaoi and yuri variety have a very high tendency to be badly written slop essentially where even if the girls individually are written well each relationship with the main character tends to be lacking in depth or true intimacy due to the nature of focusing on so many girls and relationships at once when most authors can barely write one.

Adding to this harem isn't really truly "poly" because it's exclusively multiple characters fawning over the main character with little to no inter harem chemistry to speak of because they must all revolve around the MC which frankly I dislike heavily.

Also this isn't related entirely to what I just posted but you have to remember that most of human society is monogamous and unless you were like a king with multiple wives (which is a whole different bag of worms and is much closer to men owning women as basically sexual or reproductive slaves) generally it wasn't seen as the norm so it's a niche within an already existing niche (WLW content) resulting in a lot of people not being down whenever something seems like it's going to go that route alongside the already existing issues mentioned above.

For my part I just want to see two girls of any size, race, monster/android/human, age etc in love and I don't really care for stuff that isn't that.

i... honestly kind of liked it? i agree the ending was rushed, but if anything i thought yuzu was very sympathetic. she was just missing (or didn't trust her ability to read) all the social cues, and tbh felt very autistic. with a better conclusion this could have been a solid work, and i was surprised how much i liked all the side characters by the end too. reminded me of girl friends (morinaga milk) in many ways, but i guess that's why? like, this is more "classic" in terms of yuri writing, and if you ignore the art style etc it could've easily been a 00s work.

yes it doesn't reinvent the wheel, but imo it was cute and a fun enough read. i've read stories waaaay worse than this and yall are grossly exaggerating. like, has anyone here ever tried to read sasameki koto? shit is 99% filler, it's downright painful. i'm someone who generally does not like childhood friends in yuri at all, and will even root for the ship that isn't that in a love triangle. it's kind of overused and rarely done well. but when it's cute and i like the characters involved, it's not bad. i'd rate this a 7/10, personally. it was better than i expected. i'd like to see more from the author as they refine their craft

Sasameki Koto is messy as fuck but it's a classic that's full of soul and a lot of genuine heartfelt moments, genuinely comparing it to this bland paste makes me feel old as fuck with how tastes seem to shifted on it.

I requested a fair amount of Umi yuri because I beat the game for the first time recently, playing Higurashi now and man there's really not enough Lambda/Bern on here, same with Ange/Mammon.

The problem with this setup is the more the main wins the more people vote for the Maid because she's the one getting all the development.
I don't mind it because I went into this expecting that to happen but one was always going to be the main girl.

Wow, I think this is the first chapter of a yuri manga in a WHILE that actually managed to piss me the hell off, we're reaching levels of trash not thought possible here.

I have a lot of AbbyGudako content I have typeset but I don't think I can upload to here because some of the artists deleted the source which is a shame, it's my favourite ship and Abby is my favourite character.

Sayo has more points because if you check the artist's page they're an UtenaSayo shipper so there's a bias there.

Find it very funny all the Kiwi Utena I'm seeing is super wholesome romance while all the Sayo Utena is Sayo being molested.

Kiwi continues to be insanely popular with JP artists, can't say I blame them.

I don't particularly care for this since it swapped PoVs, Yuzu was more fun when it was implied she had a subtle crush but wasn't aware about relationships much.
