As of June 2024 Citrus has sold 4 million copies in 16 volumes (1.9 million just from Japan alone) and according to the most recent numbers we have, is the second best selling yuri manga. Only behind Saki and above Yuru Yuri
I can get debating quality but Citrus is clearly very popular to this day. The other stuff is more interesting to me. For example, I love seeing 2DK and Fuzoroi no Renri up there. For some reason I forget how popular Murcielago is every now and then.
Nobody doubts that citrus is popular, I'm the first to "criticize" but I'm still here. Those data that you have provided are wonderful, but they also continue to talk about the past (in my humble opinion) because Treats citrus and citrus+ as a whole, when here we are talking about citrus+, not the original series. It would be interesting to see sales data separating the original series, and citrus+, as two series Independent (even if they are not). The reality is that one year we have only had one episode of citrus+ and history (in my opinion) has taken a bassoon. The future will.If you don't publish and months and months go by without information, and if you don't give something "attractive" to the reader, in the end people will end up getting tired. Greetings
Citrus+ has sold great. Also, this particular thread of the convo did start with someone questioning the series' popularity. Everything was in response to that.

Average asexual
I don't understand why they're being seen as deranged, they're pretty aware that what they're into would be considered weird by the majority. Unhealthy? Yeah, Azuki's attachment to the body of someone that she met and separated from ages ago isn't exactly healthy and only got exacerbated by her being isolated socially and having nobody to talk to about it up until now, but there's nothing "deranged" about being attracted to dolls, plushies or a specific body type...
The "problem" really is only how being obsessed with it could impact her negatively and it makes sense for her to react like that when her space is being invaded by something outer to her world for the first time ever and it's all new to her.
Maybe I'm understanding the use of the word wrong, but it bothered me a bit. Also, it's cool how the Meguru doll seems to have a little pouch, that's one of the cutest parts in gynoid bodies in my opinion. I'm curious about what is Niji's fetish, I thought it was going to be mommy stuff and/or cheating but I guess not lol.
I agree. "Deranged" and "despicable" seemed very over the top to me as well because those words carry some different connotations. But opinions will vary.

The channel of one of the producers of the anime. Funnily enough, they were also on the production committee of Watayuri
That's interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

Sabu came back to live just to remind us that the entire anime (in japanese obviously) can be watched for free on YT
i mean can you really live of the past with the moderate success that citrus had
What are you talking about? citrus is one the biggest series not just on YH bu of the genre itself. That is precisely why sabu is allowed to do whatever she pleases.
What's infinite channel? Never heard of them before but that's cool.
its just me or the controlling manager is kinda creepy. Unless she is a minor but he couldnt get a job if its a minor
What do you mean? There's nothing creepy about her
Oh lord!
I finally understand this scene now!
The idol has no privacy at all, even in her own room!
Her manager just entered the room as she pleases!
Wow, just wow.
Mind you, she was also in the middle of masturbating under the covers. The manager snuck up on her in the middle of that.

Super cute! Think I saw this a bit ago but forgot about it. Glad it got translated. Looking for more from this author in the future. Good debut!

Makes sense. I'm pretty sure I read a long analysis comment on Mangadex where she was called "Natsume" over and over again. I thought about saying something but it felt a bit rude to reply to such a high effort comment with "It's Nanase" :P
Now this makes me feel like I'm missing something too. It's still correct to refer to people by their surname right?
Is that her surname? Nobody ever addresses her by that so I don't even know it. I couldn't tell you Fuuko or Yuni's surnames either.
Edit: Fuuko was called "Taki" and Yuni "Asahina" in the most recent chapter, but I don't know when the last time Nanase was referred to by her surname.
It's her family name. You can search her up. Addition: It's not used often, but that's likely because they are all her friends.

Wow that seems mean spirited from one or several workers at Flapper...
Their modus operandis is:
1- get an author with a fresh idea
2- don't promote the work whatsoever
3- complain about the lack of sales over the new series and kick the mangaka out the door
4- (???)
5- go back to 1
You're missing: then blame the failure on the fresh idea and make sure the next series we support is even more unoriginal. Plus some other steps.

Man, every chapter of this is a lot of fun. It's been building and building as well. We're reaching some big moments soon.
From Inee's tweets, the main issue seem to be lack of exposure, which thankfully the scanlators rectified.
Pretty shitty on the publisher's part to leave all the marketing to the mangaka, especially a newbie one.
That's nearly always the main issue and part of why it's misleading to assume a story's axing is because of quality. In my experience, it's primarily about lack of marketing and finding an audience, first. It can become a game of luck. Similar issues on Webtoon, for example.
Authors have to do nearly all their own marketing and also hope their initial release isn't drowned out. It's probably exacerbated by having these manga judged by local physical sales.

If you're on each other's mind all day even without seeing each other, you might have caught something. Also, they both got surprises for one another at the festival. Can't wait to see what. Lastly, Hirose is a champ. I guess Takamine was both the "brother," and the "prince" at once.
Also, good god the longing between these two lovebirds ! They need a day long date ASAP, even Takamine is feeling it, as dense as she is.
Right? Love was on every page without needing a word said about it. Very intimate, and clearly so, without needing to actually be "intimate." And if it wasn't clear enough, the conversation with Hirose puts it over the top. The whole series has been like that but especially this chapter.

Well another major element effecting my opinion is I simply want you to be wrong.
I'd be quite disappointed if this went the violence/abuse route because I'd just rather this story not go that dark.
I hope Nanase will apologize for her angry outburst because that was obviously out of line and she should immediately realize that.
Well, she did just grab and slam her friend into a wall out of anger, so the violent outburst is already here and tied to her growing frustrations. But I do agree that it can go either way at this point, regarding the race.

double checked last chapter, Yuni wasn't even standing out of place when Nanase hit her. She was exactly where she was supposed to be, and Nanase should have been running in a different lane, since judging by the hair of the girl who told Yuni to get ready, Yuni and Nanase are on different teams. there's no reasonable way for Yuni looking at Fuuko to lead to a collision. I think it's actually possible Nanase kneed Yuni's leg on purpose in anger over seeing her checking out Fuuko, possibly not expecting the result to be so bad, since she seems genuinely surprised/worried in the immediate aftermath.
That's interesting, especially since Fuuko drew attention to how unlikely that crash was this chapter and Nanase didn't have much of a comeback except to stare her down.

Hahahah, Fuuko telling Yuni :
"...
but you're also an incorregible idiot who makes bad decisions."
No lie was said!!!
And she said a mama "punishes" naughty girls...so when will we get a chapter showing Mama Fuuko "punishing" her?
Things will be even more interesting. If she was using a fine nail before, she's about to take out the hammer now. The way she goaded Nanase and the discussion about actively leading Yuni. "Mommy" makes sense. I enjoy how the author has made this drama "fun," especially since we can feel how much she enjoys writing it based on her afterwards.

This is amazing. Everything is set up so well. Can't wait for the next one.

Maybe burden's the wrong word? She just thinks of her as like a little sister she has to take care of. Which is fine, she doesn't resent her for that, but she doesn't see it as a source of strength either.
This isn't really the case either, but if you haven't read passed the manga there's not much to say; although even at the current place of the manga, I wouldn't agree with your statement. A large part of what stands out about Adachi to Shima are those quirks she has. They likely wouldn't be together, or as close, without those quirks. Shima says as much a few times, directly and indirectly.

Been nearly 5 months since the last chapter. Anyone know when we might get an update?
It was on a long pause but has resumed since last month. That must be part of why there was a delay at first. Can't say why there's a delay now though.

That or they mean this series. In the later chapters they do everything described except find a perfect agent. It's the focus of an entire chapter. I feel like there's another series as well but I can remember the name.

It's definitely not cheating. Pretty sure it's just that it rained heavily and Reika got drenched. She didn't wanna show up at home looking like a wet sock. Remember, in page 6 she said she wants to always look perfect in front of Ito. Since Sajimoto's place is close by, she borrowed the shower. Really, sometimes the answers are so simple but all the angst we've consumed may have traumatized us.
Manga is super lighthearted. No reason for worry--just some fun since you know it's nothing serious but can wonder what the explanation will be. You were spot on though! That was cute.

Hmm I wasn’t expecting Lily to be rescued in time. If she loves Kaoru that much, he gave her sunshine in the shade and now he’s gone, I mean what can Hana do to save her from a future she doesn’t want? What about the inevitable arranged marriage? They’d never be able to run away together - someone would catch them (that is, only if the father puts a high value on Lily’s marriage and would go through the trouble of hiring a tracker). Lily also doesn’t love Hana and I don’t think Hana loves Lily. Hana was way too obsessed with filling in the shoes, perpetuating a lie, and living in fear of Lily discovering her lie. Lily was only using Hana as Kaoru’s substitute, since that was Hana’s wish. Very few people love Lily as she is, and the rest make her life incredibly miserable. Morally I want to believe that as long as her life touches at least one persons heart and they love her in return, that should be all she needs to live with her head high. But that’s not what was happening here. Her maid is going to blame herself, but that wasn’t Lily’s intention. None of the people seem to truly know how hard Lily’s existence is except Lily herself. Especially because suicidal people hide it so well. Personally, I think Hana saving Lily while being ignorant to Lily’s feelings is unfair.
Pretty sure the answer is going to be, the relationship our two leads had over the course of the series was more genuine than they realized, and there's a connection between them that clicks from this. The new hand reaching out to help her., originally the brother and now the sister, they're both here for her. Then something or other works out with the marriage, maybe we'll get a time skip.
The series needs to wrap up quickly here and for me as long as there's a happy ending I'm okay with it.
Yeah I think that person is underselling the connections they've built throughout the series, regardless of the circumstances. Their relationship is not as hollow as it's being described. They'll just need time to adjust, which they've not gotten since the reveal and if the ending provides them that time, they can be fine. All that time together wasn't for nothing. As for the arranged marriage, we'll see but I can imagine ways for them to leave together. The sister wants to take her place anyway.

Basically, Aya had regarded the record store as 'their' place, a space in which she and Koga could appreciate music uninhibited and the latter could dress and act how she preferred. Koga has been being more open with such things in school, and so didn't really think much of sharing that space with the sudden tide of girls *wanting to be her friend (*read: swooning over her). It's a pretty standard jealously thing. She already had competition for Koga at school, now she'll be having competition at the record store. No one likes having to strike down interlopers making moves on their oblivious crush 24/7.
But I’m pretty sure Aya also resents being lumped in with the kouhai as one of many “visitors to the store” rather than one of the “store family” and Mitsuki’s “special friend.” As you say, it’s “their place,” but the way Mitsuki says, “You can come with them” doesn’t acknowledge that special relationship.
In context, a kind of horrifyingly “anti-progress” response, actually.
It would read better if Mitsuki were actually honest about why she said that to Aya. She views Aya as a safety blanket, like a cuddly teddy bear that calms her nerves. If she'd just said something like, "These girls are coming by the store and I'm super nervous--could you tag along and help me through that day?" It would have landed better.
The way she phrased it made Aya feel like an add-on, on top of their "place" not being as special anymore. Mitsuki needs to stop thinking about these things and speak. It would be an easy fix if she did (especially since Mitsuki seems to recognize Aya was put off), but I don't expect that. She instead thinks about wanting Aya as her comfort, instead of saying that to Aya. She would perk up immediately if Mitsuki clarified.

How Do We Relationship is probably the single best ongoing manga about lesbians out there, imo. The main other manga I can think of in the "about lesbians" category and competes in quality is Ayaka is In Love With Hiroko, and that's completed.
Totally worth paying to access How Do We Relationship's official translation imo :)it’s free and easy to find LOL XD any one that knows websites like dynasty can find it easy the official translation
Just because you CAN access something for free doesn't mean you necessarily should. If you're an adult with an income you should support good art, especially things you personally love, so that more of it can get made.
And so the author can actually support themselves. Most of these authors, even with wildly popular series, aren't making much. For example, Inori (author of the very popular series "I'm in Love with the Villainess"). Multiple spin offs, books, anime and manga. Still, she's very open about her financial situations and they're never great. It's part of why authors overwork themselves, a subject Inori has also talked about. So support when possible is great.

That hug dealt some lethal damage lol
That's super break damage, for sure.
Poor Lilly is clearly completely misreading the situation. :D
Yup, the poor girl still hasn't noticed that Rae is exclusively claireromantic and clairesexual. :-(
Rae explicitly calls herself a lesbian, even if she is in love with Claire they've made a real clear point to say that's not the start and end of her sexuality, that's also why they told the story of her first love before getting isekai'd. Lily does theoretically have a chance, but it would require Rae and Claire breaking up in some definitive way and that's unlikely... probably.
She's really got no chance, breakup or not. I also think the previous poster knows she's lesbian but Rae has been just as clear that she only wants Claire and doesn't even consider anyone else, so the Clairesexual is probably a joke. That's a whole (hilarious but serious) chunk of her personality.
