I figured out my quibble with this serialization so far.
The problem I have with it is it's third person narration
Both the first and second chapters of the web series are first person narration and they feel more fluid
then the omnipresent narration. It feels a bit unnecessary and forced if I'm being honest.

So does the carpet not match the drapes after all or was that Tomoko's?

On the one hand I think that yeah, maybe Uta is better off going off alone and making her own way. She's been through some shit and she at least seems to have made peace with her feelings.
On the other hand I think maybe judging Kaoru's "Oh shit what have I done?" reaction she might start to rethink some of her ole bullshit and her feelings for Uta. The whole I didn't know what I had till it's gone kinda deal.

Reiichi to me seems like a believable asshole
He's got the right amount of dickishness and the right amount of being uncaring

I don't think it holds a candle to first season emotionally but it feels like a nice and sweet little vignette

I don't think either of them should fall in love with the other
