It doesn't make any sense to have a human torso sticking out of an oversized snake tail either.

Just as it doesn't make sense for a duck bill, a beaver tail and otter feet to be sticking out of a mole-like body, right?

At least all of those are mammalian traits (the Platypus mouth looks like a beak, but it doesn't work like one). Having a species that's half reptile and half mammal doesn't make any sense.
