I did notice it. When you look at them side by side, they look like sisters.

So, as someone who hasn't played this latest game but sees a lot of art about it, what makes this iteration so gay? Is there any real subtext to it, or is this just yuri goggles?

Depending on how you see it, Lillie's relationship with the MC (gender is irrelevant) ranges from admiration to a one-sided crush. The game gives enough scenes to support either interpretation.

Since in Japan they call the female protagonist "Mizuki", can't we use this name on the tag?

I don't think we should, at least for now. The female protagonist technically doesn't have a name. She's been called Mizuki (most of the Japanese fandom), Selene (most of the Western fandom) and Moon (by some, high probability to be used by the Pokemon Adventures manga).

Oh wow, Yurine & Ayaka have so many more chapters dedicated to them than Moe & Mizuki... & yet somehow, they still manage to be the most forgettable couple while the latter is a legend... What a shame :(

Likely cus Moe and Mizuki made memorable/important progress in those few chapters TTvTT

And they're the most established couple so far with years of experience.

A nice chapter to conclude Chiharu's character arc.

At this point, I wouldn't mind Tsukasa x Asakura. Kotooka doesn't deserve her friends.

1. The version only determines what kind of Pokemon you get from areas. Some Pokemon are exclusive to Sun, some are exclusive to Moon and some Pokemon are common to both. You can still play as male or female in both versions.

2. Pokemon has always been in the handheld, probably due to the fact that it's much accessible that way, especially since some Pokemon only appears at certain times of the day.

Lillie x Chicken-chan is my OTP. The game isn't really subtle about it at all.

I really like how Ejima Eri-sensei draws reaction faces.

I'm really glad Citrus is taking a step in the right direction. Chapters like this make me feel glad that I've stuck out with it.

A naughty Yuzu and an emotional Mei makes this chapter a 10/10 for me.

Yuna needs to teach them a lesson with wasabi flavor!

Aki needs to give Youka wasabi-flavored Pocky.
