But the panel said "ฉันไม่มีรสนิยมขืนใจใครหรอกน่า" which should be this kind of tone in English "I'm not the type to force someone"

Which you can see, it have different kind of tone/context. But if the author agree then I can't argue about it. I do find it odd that you feel the need to put "girl" or "sweetie" at the end of the sentence when it shouldn't be there at all.

Also, I am not intending to be rude. Please don't take me the wrong way.

I try to put something closer to the actual translation while also taking into account what was given to me by the author themselves. The translations they give me to work with are extremely rough so it takes a lot of back and forth on my part to get it right. It isn't always easy since they don't always put my suggestion, so when I am doing final QC and I see they put something different that I don't think actually fits the plot, characters, or situation, but it is clear the author wants it that way, then I try to compromise and reword it to work a bit better. For example I know "sweetie" was not in there but neither was "girl". The author added that so I decided to suggest other nicknames since you don't typically flirt using "girl". I also did not like the line about rape since I also think it doesn't follow the tone. I put I'm not going to force you since it is closer to the translations. The Author themselves went with rape. So I could do nothing there except try and compromise with the ending as I've said before. I do however appreciate all of your feedback and am not offended. In fact I encourage it. Hopefully this will help with future chapters in convincing the author to also be more flexible haha.

I don't know Thai so I can't discuss about all these snakes shaped letters :P Translation (Thai>Eng) is doing Thai person so if she gives us this text we assume it's correct (also Coco knows some Thai - so she can suggest other sentences to keep the meaning - and she's native Eng that's why she is doing main QC ^^).

Also you should remember that sometimes TN can't translate directly something, because it would sound stiff.

Buuuut as I said. Author and Translator have the last word for this :P

She actually said "Don't worry, I am not the type to force someone". She saying she isn't interested in rape or something like that. She definitely didn't say sweetie.

Then it is the fault of the translation. The panel I read said what I have quoted. Perhaps some better preparation next time, scanlation team? Assuming the poster above is correct, I have no way of knowing that.

As I said before. We are doing QC. Or more like we are giving suggestions for translator AND THE AUTHOR (because they are working together at Eng version - and yes, I have direct contact to both of them).

So first version was:

I’m not going to struggle you, girl.

Our suggestion:

I’m not going to force you, girl.

After that (so after author and translator decided what to put in the bubble :P):

I'm not going to rape you, girl. - As you may see, it was translator and Author's idea ;)

So if Author was ok with that I won't argue :P

Haha, also the nerve "Look, I'll not rape you... but I could have, lol." I guess I'm not into BDSM for sure. i always find it very unsettling if there is such a big imbalance of power in a relationship. If they switch roles in the next chapter though, we're talking again. ;)

This manga is not a good representation on how BDSM works. In an actual SM relationship, the submissive one has full control.over the situation and only gives that control up to the dominant one until they feel like it's necessary to take it back. Safe words and stuff.
Basically, actual BDSM is built on trust and this story has none of that.

Exactly what I wanted to write :P

My own problem with this manga is exactly this. Showing BDSM not in very nice - 50 shades of grey - colors. Also as some of you mentioned all rape(ish) stuff.

First of all, Rowan is English speaker so maybe that's why it was in English? :P Second, it wasn't the only panel in English :) I have no idea how you checked the program 'cause look at first column. Also English panels' descriptions on catalog were in English

And If you would follow their Facebook you would see that EVERY post was in Polish AND English so I think it "gave vibe of being multinational"

To be honest the Musqueerteer's translations have been pretty janky for a while. I'll give them credit for their not-completely-unreadable work, but it needs improvement.

And here we go again...

I love when people basically write "translation sucks" and don't tell us why exactly or where. Spelling mistakes can happen sometimes (corrected that one on p03 btw) but I don't think it's as horrible mistake as giving you a sentence without any sense or with wrong sense compared to original work.

I just guessed that Sunstone would be done sooner, at least this arc. You have any estimates on how long it will take?

for the first time ever i have a hard chapter deadline... thankfully it is already pre planned so it's all a matter of just sitting down and drawing it all out.

what's this deadline. well, chapter 5 needs to be complete by end of april, early may.
as it's tied into publishing in june and wrapping up the first arc.

sowhere does that leave us? well, there will be another strip this month, and then next month 2 more, and then pacing goes up to 4 + a month. not optional XD

so...good news everyone... i got people kicking my ass to move it XD

now after chapter 5 and the first whole arc is complete, i'll take about 2 months off. i need to plan out the pacing of mercy, mos importantly all the timings need to align in that story as it begins during ally and alan's college days, then catches up with sunstone and then progresses it's story forward as well.
