Nameless asterism but with polyamory?

Where did you get polyamory from?

Though confusing, there's actually 4 characters: I forgot their names so I'll describe them: One with long black hair and a moe, another with long black hair, a third with straight shoulderlength blonde/light hair, and a fourth with long wavy blonde/light hair.

And even more confusing, they all don't have feelings for each other in a square. Girl with the moe likes the wavy blonde, and the wavy blonde likes her back. Girl without the moe likes the shoulderlength blonde, and the shoulderlength blonde possibly likes her back... anyways you get my point 4 characters 2 pairs.

Oh oops I thought the blonde haired characters were all 1 person and I was shocked at how chill their seeming love rivalry was lol

Okay I'm glad things seem to be looking up for them, they got a house secured, and will be getting their bike back soon as well. Hopefully they can find a way to make some money on this island to not just blow through their savings

Shiori would probably model herself on Claire François from I Favor the Villainess, which I think is the series likeliest to become the next big mainstream yuri hit if it ever gets an anime (which it might, seeing as it's pretty lucrative).

IFTV actually isn't that popular in Japan. The biggest markets for the story is actually in the US and south korea. Interestingly enough when the novel was first released, there was initially only a digital release in japanese, while the english and korean versions got print editions. Japan is getting a print release this winter though, but the majority of the fanbase is still outside of Japan I think.

I hope she isnt too dense and realizes that SHE is the love interest.

That might still take a while, despite how obvious Elsa is being. After all, the notions of two girls going out seems to be foreign for her as well.

I feel like she's having a similar conflict to Rei, where she sees herself as someone who doesn't deserve to be with the heroine and cant be
All her internal monologues have been about her trying to protect the heroine so she can live a happy life with one of the male love interests and she sees herself as an interloper who can only do bad things to Elsa
she doesnt see herself as capable of or worthy of being loved, in a similar way that Katarina in Hamefura can't see the affection of those around her because she's locked into this idea of being a villainess who could unintentionally hurt those around her at any time, and as someone who could be betrayed or abandoned at any time

First off, I totally love the huge analysis from Temp, really great stuff about what makes the series so compelling.

Shiori is delightfully sinister while Miko feels too goody-two-shoes and boring. I like high-octane drama.

Second off, I totally disagree with this commentary, in fact I would say it’s the opposite. Miko is a super complex character, with a lot of interesting character drama and angst. She was the guardian spirit of Hinako’s family, her entire purpose in life was to safeguard her whole family but she failed. She failed to fulfill their prayer the time when it mattered the most, and that has defined her entire life since that moment, just as much as it defined Hinako’s life. Miko is crushed with guilt, and yet she has this primal urge to eat Hinako, and it takes all of her self control to do so. The easiest thing to do would be to leave Hinako to ensure she never gives in to that desire, but she persists because her commitment to Hinako and the promise that she failed to keep is her driving force through all this. The internal struggle between her desire to keep that promise and her taste for Hinako’s flesh and blood makes for a great internal conflict, much more dramatic and complicated than Shiori’s straightforward monsterous nature.

And add on top of that her feelings when she sees Hinako, the person she’s sworn herself to protect, chatting with a mermaid who wants to eat her, knowingly so. It tears her up inside, and even more so that Shiori is able to get close to Hinako in a way she herself still can’t do due to her inability to give Hinako what she wants (death) and her own bloodlust keeping her away.

She clearly feels real affection towards Hinako, but distances herself out of fear of what she might do to Hinako if her self control were to lapse for even one moment. Shiori doesn’t care about Hinako, and probably never will. She just wants her to be happy for the service of her own selfish desires.

I’m fully ready to root for Miko, she’s super interesting but I don’t trust manga to let the childhood friend with twintails win.

Unless I'm missing some cultural giant taboo about giving someone else your leftovers (I'm not exactly familiar with Chinese culture), I'm on board with Elsa having hacked the system. With her insane magic abilities I wouldn't put it past her.

I think the idea is like, feeding her the scraps or something, and like telling her to be thankful and lick the plate, or dumping the food on her “accidentally”. Just the typical otome isekai bullying tactics. Like if you got a piece of crust and were told to eat it by a bully.

Of course we all know this is going to turn into Yvonne hand feeding Elsa bites of her sandwich

I've read that some of the big yuri artists, like Mira, Ayanero Taicho, and Morishima Akiko are actually straight women, interestingly enough. Mira apparently even has a husband and kids, too. If this is true and not just some made up rumour, what that shows is something that's been said for a long time, which is that the Yuri genre really is one that kind of transcends gender and sexuality, for all to enjoy

Can I please get a source on this?

I don’t know about other authors but isn’t there an autobiographical manga about Morishima Akiko and some fellow yuri mangakas going to a hostess club to ogle the women working there? That doesnt seem very straight to me.

One thing I like about the teen girl is that she definitely gives off that “teen who’s got too much hormonal bs going on” since she’s always just a little too ready to hop on the lewd train whether it be calling out master, asking if she’s really allowed to do lewd things when told it as a joke, mastrubating after seeing hot naked woman, very teenager energy

It's been a pretty long time since I read this, does anyone remember why they decided to "not date"?

Anchovy is worried about Maho’s family and how their relationship might not be supported because of her status as heir to the family and whatnot, and generally doesn’t wanna make it formal yet because of fear or something.

I think we’ll see them start dating if we ever get to that summer trip to the Nishizumi estate, since I think seeing how supportive and kind Maho’s family is might give Chovy the push she needs to finally accept Maho’s confession

I bet the bartender girl is somewhat related to yorimitsu guy, that's why her family know so much about drinks

And the way she made a lemon sour matched the way the ogre girl had it for the first time too, connection perhaps? I think her grandpa served demons

You know, that prompt almost feels like something Elsa would have chosen, I feel like it lends some weight to the idea that the villainess system might actually want to get the two of them together, we still dont know why the timer went down so quickly on the locked room prompt from before either
