I dont think it needs a depressing as fuck tag needed as it really wasnt. It had a mellowed out ending and showed she was doing fine 10 years later, and one death isnt enough to need it.
And the supernatural is iffy, this manga isnt exactly what you are looking for when you search supernatural

the fact that she was doing fine after 10 years later, it shows the logic of
" Love must go on"

I think it was veeery intentional that she didn't tell her that she loved her. We can imply that she left the hospital full knowing she was going to die; and hence didnt tell her because it would of ruined the mc's life. (And we know that the girl thought like this because of the "ghost kiss" that she called selfish). Theres also the writing on the fence that was written at/for the mc.

I swear this manga has been out since the dynasty site's format was before how it is currently. I was like likely 13 now 18. Man mangas can really drag. I remember when the format was just a bunch of mangas with their chapters and a bunch of scrambled one shots at the bottom. I probably read 98% of it all too. Like the whole time I was 13/14 I was just reading on my side on my couch or bed. Never looked back after that. (Meaning never fell in love with any other genre other than yuri) Nothing can beat yuri for me. It's a need for me.

I too feel that the ending was abrupt. The "farewell" panel felt like a more...okay?? ending. It would have been open, but the abruptness of the actual ending kind of..unraveled the effect for me.

I mean, in this chapter we had it revealed to us that after that first letter she wrote countless more to Fiona, and it was Toto who intercepted and destroyed them. All this time she had assumed Fiona had chosen to completely forsake her. It was also revealed that she was heavily pressured by the headmistress to leave and live with her mother. She was only a young girl, having that kind of pressure from her HM plus the influence of her birth mother would have been so difficult to deflect and overcome.

putting all that aside , are u aware that no matter what the reason was, it wouldnt change the fact that Amy was abandoned Fiona and yet shes been sending all those letter ?!
