I can't understand why some readers are thinking that Yuzu and Mei won't end up together. All the drama will probably be easily solved. Since this is probably the climax, Saburouta just want to make some impact. In the end, everything will be fine.

I just want to know how she will develop this arc. Some readers are expecting Shou to come back soon, but everything can happen.

Two reasons. The drama actually had a hefty impact this time and because yuri stories have a long past of tragic outcomes back when Class S was a big thing. So at first sign of trouble some people start going NOPE! and either run away or go into a shock.

In fact, chapter 36 is LITERALLY how many yuri stories used to end. I see it as a both a nice throwback and a good way to deliver a non-dialogue chapter with a drama bomb where the reader will use their own brain to fill in some details by themselves. There were a lot of people whose initial reaction to 36 was that the story had actually ended in a tragedy. :p

I'm guessing no main story stuff because of that problem the author was having?

What problem?

Author is Chinese and the publisher of the story apparently was not too keen on having actual explicit homosexual romance after certain elements of government started focusing on this stuff again. Homosexual relationships are legal in China and have been for a while, but in these separate guidelines they were put in same category as host of violent sexual crimes and other such acts.

From Wiki: "On December 31, 2015, the China Television Drama Production Industry Association posted new guidelines, including a ban on showing LGBT relationships on TV. The regulations stated: "No television drama shall show abnormal sexual relationships and behaviors, such as incest, same-sex relationships, sexual perversion, sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual violence, and so on."

In fact, it went so far as to even ban stuff like cheating, one night stands or teen couples. Only thing that is ok is dedicated vanilla relationship of some sort. I'm sure TV viewers like that... Because you pretty much just removed most sources of drama as well.

All that said, its actually just bit unclear how it will continue: Big moment was in chapter 146 and after that we only 4 or so chapters that clearly continue the actual story. Two with the fellow taking care of a sleeping drunken girl and two with another girl who is also interested in the tall sporty MC. But I don't see how she could actually affect the story at all given that the mains just expressed their feelings to each other clearly. Maybe its just a way to get some "break the cutie" drama in the story without hurting the mains or something.

Rest are just either theme chapters like Christmas / new year stuff or just omake- or 4-koma style self-contained snippets along the line that are not chronological with the main story at all. In bonus chapter 158 you actually have the clear sexual stuff back with kisses as well in form of short gags and individual images. I'm sure we all just want the story to continue properly... I hope its soon. Author is a superb artist where it comes to feeling of movement and poses and I also enjoy the color palette that is used.

I feel we need a heaver tag then subtext XD

Yep, this is definitely text. Kamuri is lovey dovey towards Eiko. Eiko flirts with every cute girl either subconsciously or consciously and would eat up her teacher immediately if given a chance. And Tamate is just plain lesbian.

Also, Tamate is actually little bit biphobic because her sexual orientation seems to be very strongly leaning towards her own sex. So much so that she can't even hide how she can't understand people who like men at all... Or alternatively she's been taking too many cues from certain yuri visual novels where the cheating bi trope seems to happen quite often. x_x

I'm actually happy the writer isn't shying away from subjects that, even if it is played for comedy here. As any socially active bi can attest, this stuff happens now and then.

Just read this now that its actually finished.

A very down to earth story with a warm ending. Ordinary people with pretty ordinary problems sorting through them and trying to find some direction for their lives. Clinging to past too much can definitely stop anyone from going forward. And its not shameful if you find someone who can help you with that or even just getting some help from your family and acquaintances. No man is an island, after all.

Harumin making some smooth moves there. That's nice to see. Matsuri naturally has no real problem with this, even though the little troll likes to play hard to get and extracts maximum profit and fun out of everything.
