I don't know… That's one interpretation, but… my feeling is rather that she doesn't want to fall in love with Yurine precisely because she reminds her of her mother − someone who expects perfection from her but is unable to simply say "I love you as you are" (which is also why Mizuki is important to Ayaka). When she says "maybe there's someone, somewhere, who actually needs me", Yurine's name doesn't even seem to cross her mind. It's heartwrenching on so many levels…

It does seem a bit too personal to tell all the details to strangers. We're seeing her most deep-rooted insecurities, here…

And boy I love the Mizuki-Ayaka scenes so much. Mizuki's concern and care for Ayaka are really touching, and Ayaka's imagine spots about Mizuki and Moe are always hilarious.

Huh, I didn't expect to find it with a mere youtube search, but someone actually translated some of the Drama CD stories…

The voices fit quite well: Yuzu and Harumin's are awesome and lively, Matsuri's is irritating. Mei's is… well, Mei's. You can't really put a lot of acting in her voice.

Yeah, I find this "quietly supportive" kind of love pretty sweet, and a good way to counterbalance Yukina's impulsiveness. I guess the volume 3 arc showed Towako as too quiet and obsessed in a way. So yeah, this omake is welcome to flesh out the more healthy side of their relationship a bit.

Why? A day in the limelight for Sayaka isn't so bad. So from what I get, she had a relationship with a girl that didn't end well, and now she's affraid of acting on her feelings for Touko? Yeah, her having feelings for Touko may be a bit too conventional, but I don't mind that much.

Well, she didn't really have much "gayngst"... She quickly realizes she's in love with Mei, and fully embraces this feeling just as quickly.

But indeed, they've never had to actually hide it so far (it's not like Mei acts particularly promiscuous in public, anyway). I think Harumin suspects it at the very least.

Ah yes, SonoHana… I never went beyond the first game. I wonder if later episodes are better...

Regarding Citrus, I was wondering... How would Mei's grandfather react if he knew that she and Yuzu were in that kind of relationship? Yuzu's mom would not take it too badly I think... probably... But the grandpa?

Finish volume 5 and did I mention that I love Yuzu and Harumin? Probably not enough. It's kinda ironic that Saburouta actually does better at depicting the heartwarming friendship between these two than the romance with Mei. Although… alright, that aspect is getting a bit better too now.

Also, I wanna read that Momoiro Shimai VN. XD "If you're that interested, then I could… zzzzz" Apparently Mei's lewdness detector overheated and cut off her power.

And it seems that glasses student council girl has feelings for Mitsuko.

…I was a few chapters behind it seems, silly me. So I started volume 5 in raw, because the unproofed tl of chap 17 was a bit painful to read.

1. God I love Yuzu. Actually, I generally like when protagonists are no longer the newcomers and start to have "juniors" whom they inspire. Nene is perfect in the role of that junior, and Yuzu perfect in this new role. I pretty much had the same reaction: "yep, that's Yuzu, I wouldn't have it any other way!" She's still screwed, though. >.>

2. So, err… Harumi's sis has long since graduated from the school and is no longer a part of it, but she still has the power to call out and punish students, somehow? How the hell does their school work?

3. Yeaaaah… Mei is becoming a tad more sympathetic I guess. In her own annoying way, but I'll take that over her pre-hookup self. That umbrella strike was a pretty cool scene, I must say.

4. This cover… The bubble above Yuzu's head reminded me of this for some reason. X)

hopefully eventually we will get to see what happened to her mom. I think that has a lot to do with it.

Izumi was quite clearly smitten with Chiharu, but there was indeed no indication that it was mutual at that point. So I'm not sure what happened between them, unless the second Drama CD is canon...

It's strange but I almost wish the arc of volume 2 was a bit longer… Rereading it, Maya was a pretty sweet character, but she probably would have needed more screentime to be more memorable. I have the impression that was Canno's initial plan, but that she then hastily added Izumi into the mix as a sort of foil. Maybe Ai could have filled a similar role, but I guess we also need a non-romantic friend here and there…
