ah... if only it always worked like that. The girl I really like seemed to be conscious about me and tried to avoid me. Which made me "chase" her even more. And then during our lunch, to which she last minute invited a 3rd-wheeling girl, she mentioned having a bf. And that really crushed me. Now I'm so lost as to whether the bf really exists and I've got no chances or is it still an attempt to run away from me and her own sexuality...

So I really hope No-rae won't try to go out with Ji-hwan in order to get rid of her frustration...

And personally I think Korean dub is absolutely atrocious. It sounds so awkward and fake. I don't understand why Korean voice actors can't talk like normal people, and they exaggerate everything instead.

By the way, how fast are the trains in Korea? Is there a chance Seol-a gets to Kims' before No-rae?

I have a feeling that the next two chapters will be flashbacky/reflections upon what has happened while each girl's travelling. Then I think they won't really have a chance to talk properly because No-rae's family will not let them. I have a strong belief Seol-a will shine there and will get praised, hehe. I just hope No-rae's brother won't turn into another yuri threat xD then, may be after a family dinner, they will have a chance to talk walking under the star (oh, I'm such a romanticist), then No-rae might confess, may be indirectly, but somehow Seol-a might start realising what she really feels towards No-rae after that talk. And then they'll sleep together... like... you know friends.. and I request some accidental spooning! and then... and then... ah whatever... even if the sleeping happens, might only be at chapter ~39-41, I think.

Seol-a has three brothers. The one who used to live in the apartments she stays now is Hyeong-woo (re-read chapter 7 - Seol-a mentions that in her dialogue with Ji-hwan in the car). The one who gives her a visit in chapter 12, who No-rae mistakes for Seol-a's boyfriend, and the one whose car Seol-a's taking is Jin-woo. So I assumed she's taking the car from Jin-woo's garage.

I'd say, gas is irrelevant for the story in the first case. Besides, just because it's in garage, doesn't mean it's completely out of use.

It's normal in Korean culture to go out to drink in a professional way with all the hierarchy, it's a way of socializing. I had a teacher who went to Korea when he was a student for studies and internship at a research department and he did sometimes went to drink with his teachers/superiors.

Yeah, I heard about it, but I assumed it happened naturally, like after class, during the week. It feels wrong to have a party with a professor on Sunday night - he has to do the lectures next morning and others have to listen, you know ;)

Good question. I don't think it's very likely though. I doubt they'd have a party with the professor on Sunday night. That sunday evening Seol-a was wearing glasses and drinking coffee at home, reflecting on Hee-jin's words. Besides, how did they get the professor out with them?

then we have a day with Ji-hwan confessing to No-rae and Seol-a visiting her mother with Ji-hwan

then we have all three characters reflecting on Ji-hwan's confession... this is where Seol-a's training and her imagination goes wild

then, likely on another weekend, we have Seol-a going to a spa with her mom. And No-rae picks her up for a dinner and realizes feelings for Seol-a. It's a weekend because it's happening during the day and Seol-a's mom's there before 6pm as opposed to be at work. Besides Seol-a mentioned that she didn't sleep last night, most likely due-to a party.

then we have let's-get-drunk-with-Kyung-Woo! day. The only time clue we have is Seol-a mentioning that something's been going wrong the entire week... but whether it's Wednesday, Friday or another day.. I think we really don't know...

Or maybe it's gonna be No-rae's turn to cook a breakfast :) But I think that right now the one who needs to make up her mind is No-rae, way more than Seol-a. Also wonder what day of the week it is in FF? Do they need to go to uni or it's a weekend? If it's the former, hopefully Seol-a finally finds a way to talk to No-rae. If it's the latter, chances are higher for No-rae to help Seol-a recover after a crazy night xD

The 'I got found out' and 'fucking embarrassing' could perhaps be because No-rae saw through his bravado. He doesn't actually have the balls to say 'directly' that he likes someone and has to resort to 'shameful tactics' such as getting them to open up to him via a bit of alcohol.

Granted it is coercive but it's not as horrible as the scenario that I had imagined when the new chapter hadn't come out yet.

I also agree with you 100% on the rumours thing. I think part of FF is about how rumours don't present an accurate representation of how someone actually is. Kyeong-woo may be the the 'king of fucking' or whatever but he's definitely far from a monster in my book. That would be like Seol-ah's ex who attempted to strangle her.

I think his attitude last chapter is evident he isn't very innocent.

It neither proves that all he wants is to score and forget about her. Why make it so black-and-white? There's a huge range between being very innocent and absolutely despicable.

From the "tsk tsk" over Seol-a getting drunk to calling it "fucking embarrassing" after No-rae scolded him for using "shameless tactics" which obviously hit the nail on the head as he immediately admitted to himself that he was "found out."

I don't see how the "tsk tsk" is at all applicable here. To me that sounded perfectly normal for any person. Like "oh my". As for the "shameful tactics" and being embarrassed, again, it doesn't prove that all he wants is to score. The possibility that he likes Seol-A and wants to go out with her but relies on shameful tactics to make her his sounds quite likely and believable to me. Not saying that it's great, but I don't see how that makes him a monster or an absolute evil.

I thought that was his thing, getting women drunk to score. But it might have been exaggerated by the dudes No-Rae overheard, although I don't see why they would exaggerate when there is nobody to Impress.

Sorry, but these are not facts. These are rumours. How many guys were there actually witnessing Kyung-Woo's championship? Ssamba puts quite a lot of attention to the rumours theme. Reread the beginning of chapter 23, for example, assuming you've never heard about Baek Seol-A and tell me what you think about her.

I think that is just her laying into him and nothing more. She is still miles away from acknowledging her feelings.

Foreshadowing doesn't mean it has to happen immediately in the next chapter. Besides, I think she pretty well acknowledged the existence and reality of her feelings for Seol-A now - that's partly the reason why she's mad at the end at herself as she completely lost control over her feelings. She understands she's again vulnerable because she let someone inside her walls and is likely to get hurt, because she understands perfectly how slim a chance it can be to get your feelings requited even between a boy and a girl. And with Seol-A it's even slimmer.
So considering No-Rae's character, she's gonna go through quite some pain in the next chapters, I think. Clearly, she fails to avoid. And getting close, she's so loving and caring - just look at how precious Seol-A's for her in the lap/taxi scene. The only reason that might hold her from confessing is the society pressure. She might want to try and prevent Seol-A's public image from getting ruined. But I don't think she'll last long. No-Rae's a very straight-forward girl after all.
But this is of course only guesses. Let's see what Ssamba's plans for the 2nd volume really are. Right now it feels that it's either No-Rae confesses and then the next volume Seol-A will react OR No-Rae confesses and Seol-A responds with a "yes" quickly enough so that in the next volume we'll already be focused on the social implications. Either way it's a confession within the next 9 chapters. Unless Ssamba plans for something entirely different :)

I wish she would have been harsher to Kyong-Woo, but maybe that is as harsh as it gets in Korea. That guy is despicable.

Why so much hate? I don't think that all he wants is merely to get between her legs. He might have genuinely got a crush on her. After all he's been approaching her ever since the welcome party. Yes, his way of approaching is quite sneaky, but unlike No-Rae, he's a chicken to confess directly and hoped that Seol-A would open to him while being drunk. What he didn't take into equation is the fact that Seol-A doesn't see him as an object of her affection at all, so making her drunk was utterly meaningless. But to hate and loathe him for that? The chicken doesn't deserve such a strong emotion IMO.

Seol-A called No-Rae because, I believe, she remembered about her while looking at Kyung-woo's eyes. And she was like, 'Damn, I want her to get me home, not this guy'. I see this as a further development of Seol-A's feelings.

Honestly, I don't see the guy as being able to assault Seol-A anyhow. Maybe another girl, but not her. He's a chicken after all. He hoped Seol-A would've been more playful, had she not become so wasted. He obviously miscalculated the amount of alcohol she needed. Had she drunk less however, she wouldn't have been reacting to him at all. And apparently he wasn't going for the sleeping beauty scenario. To me it's pretty clear nothing would have happened if No-Rae hadn't come. In the worst case, he'd have left Seol-A alone in the bar.

But No-Rae came, and her bashing herself, I took it as her accepting the existence of her feelings for Seol-A. I don't think she was disappointed at saying too much to Kyung-woo, she was rather 'I couldn't help but run for this girl no matter where she is and what hour it is, even though it wasn't really needed. Damn, I'm so in love.'

I think the chapter really delivered. I'm also curious about No-Rae's words to Kyung-woo about being direct with his feelings as opposed to the shameful tactics. Was that some kind of foreshadowing for a confession from her side? I honestly didn't expect anything in the next 10-20 chapters. Very interesting to see how she behaves herself now. At least she didn't fall to kissing Seol-A while the girl was asleep.
