Yeah specially considering how freaking strong she is... so now she has to go! Nope ! Can't have an OP character hanging around the good guys now :S to be honest I feared this from the very start of this conflict and it seems like it was inevitable after all.

Huuhh Kfufu still has screws lose, I guess the talk no jutsu didn't work this time because she almost kills Pepesha

Aye, I got this feeling of inevitable tragedy as well.

Well, this series has defied tropes before, it's entirely possible that it'll surprise us again after this cliffhanger. Similarly possible it won't, though.

Very true. Though I think while this series defies certain things, and sometimes people are successfully saved, it does often like to play into tragedy as well.

Also should be 8 years right?

Yeah I think it should be 8 years since graduation. Also yeah it sounds like their previous relationship was only casually sexual, but now as adults they're exploring beyond that.

Thinking that they could give up their bond so easily after this makes me sho shad.

Well in the end they got together again, so I think that's what matters and is a good reason to be happy instead of sad :)

Hello I'm looking for a One-Shot I believe I read on here 1-2 years ago, I believe with the shift of the Era in Japan. Where it had an all around positive message about how maybe in the Reiwa Era there will be positive changes for views and policies when it comes to same sex couples. It was an original doujin, and maybe not exactly like that? Unfortunately my memory is fuzzy, thanks in advance for any and all help!

At this rate the series will end with her sandwiched between both sisters, while all parties involved are in the nude.

^Ah I guess I need to dig deeper, seems I missed some. Still if she could get a good boost in Yuri it'd be nice, she seems to get less than a decent number of characters.

^I saw that official art recently and thought, "wow the author really wants people to draw ship art doesn't he?", haha

Not that I blame him in the slightest, and I'm all for people getting inspired to draw more of them.

^I don't think new, just rare/uncommon. Unfortunately. I've seen some good Yuri art of Hu Tao, a couple pieces of her with Xiangling like this, a couple with Lumine, but I've mostly just seen hetero fanart of Hu Tao. I'd love to see more Yuri with her along these lines.

^Not for me at least, I'm not a fan of Batman x Joker. In part because while Toga has done terrible things, she's never done shit on the scale and depravity level as Joker.

Also I guess because Toga and Uravity have an interesting dynamic, where they both have a crush on the same dense boy, and they express their love differently. They have some interesting exchanges, like during the camp arc and what not. I also don't want to say too much, since I know the anime is a good bit behind the manga.

I might be remembering wrong...but were they ever...formally dating in high school?

This. Gyaru comments how it is the first time they held hands and that Megane actually had a normal conversation. They clearly just had sex at school (or one the way) and probably didn't speak outside of it.

Also should be 8 years right?

But do people just stray away like that???

If you mean the ten-year gap in their relationship, I have to agree with you. It's difficult for me to accept the idea that they simply stopped their affair after graduating from high school.

There are many yuri manga where the two MCs are lovers through high school, break up at graduation because "it's time to stop playing games, become adults and find boyfriends" and then meet again ten years later and rekindle the flame. The Nighthawk Drifts About, RAWMG, Liberty (in a way) are all examples.

But these two girls are more the Kase x Yamada or Horikawa x Wakatsuki or Kasumi x Sakurako or Hinako x Orie type... I mean, the type that don't break up after graduating and keep seeing each other because they have plans to live together and maybe one day get married. At least, that's how I had them pegged.

Really, after all we have seen in chapter one, I just can't buy the idea that these two girls of all people let ten years that they could have spent together flow through their fingers just like that.

I might be remembering wrong...but were they ever...formally dating in high school? They seemed to enjoy being sexual with each other...but that seemed about it? So it seems possible that they just graduated and drifted apart, went to different colleges, were figuring out their lives. Then suddenly bumping into each other again they decided to enter into an actual relationship. It was mentioned how they enjoyed having a normal conversation at the bar, nothing pervy, just a normal conversation. So that seemed like something new for them.

So she shoved her fingers to make sure it was her, right? what a wholesome pair~ also, why all these 24-30 years old girls looks so mature? Damn I'm 24 and I still look like a brat XD

Glasses shoved her fingers into her mouth because she knew it was her. It was an impulsive reaction after seeing her 10 years later, because they have a kinky relationship.

I specified Japanese women because that's the context I see Battan writing within. Comp het is indeed a global thing. I can't think of a culture where people can live free from cisnormative and heteronormative pressures. But in particular, I can't name a character in either of the Battan series I've read who hasn't been deeply affected – shaped, even – by a pressure to turn away from pursuing their authentic desires and towards the socially accepted norms of Japanese society. Even Tazune, bless his heart, was just trying to do what he thought was accepted of him as a man, or running away from not fitting those expectations.

Makes sense, apologies for assuming. I think we're on mostly the same page though, as you mentioned the pressure of the norms of Japanese society. I said Japanese culture and tradition, which I think Battan's writing and perspective is affected by as you're saying, because from what I know a lot of the society pressure comes from old traditions and the like.

Nacchan is a straight girl, her feelings for Kyouko will never go past friendship.

[citation needed]

So far this story seems to be another examination (like Kakeochi Garu) of how the combo of biphobia / bi erasure and compulsory heterosexuality fucks up young Japanese women. From the evidence we're given in the story so far, Nacchan is no more straight (nor lesbian) than Midori in Kakeochi Garu. I think the people pointing to Nacchan's jealousy and confusion about being with / just plain being Kyouko have it essentially right, but also look at how her coworker talks about her age and singlehood, and the ambivalence with which she reacts to it.

I'm really curious to see where this one goes. Kakeochi Garu bounced all over the place before it resolved and everybody was convinced it was going to end in doom and misery for most of its run, and I feel like Battan made it all work out without any sleight of hand or cheap narrative tricks, so I'm content to let this play out a bit more before getting too anxious about where it's going. Also I continue to love her art – so expressive and fluid and cartoonish without feeling lazy or cheap.

I know you specified Japanese women because of the culture and various elements in the country along those lines, like tradition. I think though, it's honestly a fairly global thing, maybe in different ways and sometimes for different reasons. There is a constant push for heterosexuality being the societal norm, having a family and raising children, carrying on the legacy. This goes for men and women I believe, where people will deny themselves the possibility of a same sex relationship for any number of reasons, it's unfortunate.

I appreciate that Tei's response to this oppai-loli wasn't envy but rather utter bafflement at this extremely Japanese nonsense.

This manga has a school as big as city and as populated as a city and it's the oppai-loli what's non-sensical?

Don't forget it's also surrounded by a wall that would let Trump die a happy man. Or keep out marauding Titans I s'pose.

This is truly the AOT spin-off for the ages.
