She's already different from others the way she treats Seju.

You could easily tell that she was created to be nothing but a Seju's gf. That's one of the reasons why I don't like her. The story would end up with another insecure relationship.

That's my thing too. I don't want to be nit picky or try to see the negative side, but this is exactly what you've said.
And I agree that she should have appeared earlier in the story if they wanted to make her Seju's gf, because right now it's really obvious why she's there.

Also all this "Seju smiled, so this girl must be special" just reminds me of when authors want to make a character a certain way (for example a very smart character) and they just bluntly say this character is smart, but they don't actually construct it the right way to make it believable. You just have to believe the character is smart because the author said so.
Just like now, you know this girl is supposed to be special because Seju has to move on. Well, maybe they'll add some very good storytelling with that to counter it. But that's why I also said it's too late imo. Because to counter all that flashbacks and development they'd need 50 chapters at least imo.
Or even if they didn't introduce her earlier, they could balance it with less Sumin and Seju flashbacks/development for the past 110 chapters.

Btw I don't think their relationship will be shown to be insecure though. They know they have to stop it there, so we'll get a happy ending with them imo

Yeah it's normal to nw be too fond of Dowoon now because she's still a new character.
My problem with this is that it feels dragged and inauthentic from TG? Were all these extra chapters about Sumin and Seju past really necessary? I think no. They already dragged their story too far imo.
Maybe there will be something pretty new and fresh with Dowoon, but I'll personally only find it ok after the story is over. Because I don't trust TG anymore and I'm speaking from what we've already seen so far for the past 100+ chapters.
Will they even resolve the Seju and Sumin drama properly this time? We can only tell until we see, and I think it's fair to be cautious of them judging by how the story has been so far.

See we can disagree without personally attacking anyone. And I was talking about mei is waifu. Was that really necessary to reply to someone in that tone? This thread used to have decent conversations, it's a shame if it turns out to be children getting triggered and being reactionary.

I think some people don't understand this. The problem is not people wanting Seju and Sumin together again.
It's the fact that there have already been 110 chapters of them together/their past/whatever. It's not easy to immediately like someone who is a new character, just because they seem to be nice.
This has nothing to do with Seju and Sumin getting back together. But in some way reminds me of Hibike where Kumiko ends up with Shuichi. You can't just develop a relationship for years and then finally get to the point of clearly showing how toxic Sumin is, so them parting makes more sense.
If you are a fairly new reader then this might have less impact I guess. Because all these chapters came out in the span of like 3 years? So that's a lot of time to be already invested for a reader who has been following this for years. It has less of an effect if you binge read it.

And let's not forget that yeah, Sumin was cruel to Seju but she also had some pretty valid reasons for hating on her as well.
Is hating on Sumin the new Seju is a bitch? This feels the same as some Sungji fans who were hating on Seju some years ago.

I think Marika might be dating the male version of Lilly in her world. Lilly doesn't exist in her world, because she would recognize her. So she must be a male on the other universe.

I'm telling, you "shipping" can be a toxic way of looking at stories--it seems to drive some people insane, or at least deaf to what people are actually saying about a work.

Yeah I have been trying to discuss about the storytelling quality itself but it’s impossible. I quit.

I left this place after the end of season 1. It used to be one of the few where we could actually have a normal discussion, whether it was Sungji or Sumin fans. Guess the people who were invested in this got tired of TG dragging it for no purpose and left, and the deranged troll who seeks attention found the perfect opportunity to infest this place.

Well I wouldn't vote for Seju x Sumin either, despite the fact that I find their dynamic the most interesting of them all.
I just think everyone knows they won't happen, plus all this "toxic" etc, so they wouldn't vote for them anyway.
People are just desperate for Seju to find someone, and that shows how they voted for a character who has barely appeared.

Desperate for Seju to find someone who has barely appeared.....How I wished you go wander more sites like facebook, mangago, discord where are filled of discussions. Do Won has caught many readers' heart through the way she treats and worried for Seju, especially her princess carry in the latest chap. She has many good traits except for her tanned appearance that quite many people don't like.

How does one thing negate the other? I've been in this fandom since years ago and i remember how these discussions went. People wishing for her to find someone who loves her, because she has been through a lot.
You really trying to tell me that if it was someone else in Dowoon place, who is simply decent and interested, people wouldn't jump on it the same way they did for Dowoon?
There are lot of teens and underage readers in the sites you've mentioned, who are just happy with simple and cute stuff and don't quite get the rest. To some of them, Seju is just the bad guy and there's nothing more than that.

"I'm so happy a nice girl finally likes Seju, too bad she's tan and not my type. "

Lol, not surprised coming from the fandoms you've mentioned. I don't go there for a reason.

If you have to "face" your ex to prove you're over them, then you're still not. Because that still indicates some type of feeling. Indifference is the opposite of love.

What's to prove here? I don't see Sumin showing any hints that's she trying to prove something anyway, she only does it because it's what she wants. Didn't you know Sumin took interest in the apartment first before Seju bought it? Didn't you know Sumin worked at Hello Studio first before Seju took over it and became the CEO? Sumin only chose to keep staying/working at the places she wanted to stay before. Again, whether or not Seju will show up leaves no impact to her life/feelings.

I was talking about you saying that you need to face your ex, and if Sumin felt like she had to face Seju then she wouldn't be over her.
Also, I find it weird how Sumin didn't leave from the company, but I think that's the author's mistake still keeping them connected in some way, because they did need to completely distance themselves after all that went down.

I just feel like TG feels one way but writes another way and that shows in the story but I don't want to get repetitive.

About Sumin still wander around places that she used to be with Seju like the company or the apartment, well, I can only wonder how on earth she has the face to do that. But isn't it the real art of letting when you live/work in a place full of traces of your ex but still be able to stay all happy with your new girlfriend without even thinking of your ex for a second? It was really much like, you finally feel nothing when you're standing face to face with your ex.

Maybe after some time. But she was in the company very shortly after all of that, as well as the cheating.

People seem to forget that Sumin cheated on Sungji too. But their relationship is healthy and cute, because Sungji is a doormat who doesn't trigger Sumin enough to let her bad side out and actually gave Sumin a second chance after the cheating.
Well, that's a great way to counter the Seju development.

Anyways, TG knows what she's writing and she knows that SUMIN/SUNGJI and SEJU/DOWON are the perfect matches.

I can agree with everything else you've said, although they're still debatable but this one is a stretch to say the least. We don't know Do woon, and we haven't even seen them dating long term. You can't say they're the perfect match.
I also doubt TG have this master plan for them. It really seems like at this point they're just milking this series, like someone here said. The story could have ended in season 1.
Do woon is likable in comparison with Sumin and how she treated Seju? Or the fact that she seems nicer, even though we haven't seen much anyway. Well, that's not enough for me personally to get more invested in their story.

The whole marketing of wdtfs is not reading about a cute healthy relationship. It's to tangle into the more dark ones. Take that away from it and what is there left? Cute relationships? Well there are tons of other mangas that do better job at it, and on top of that the love interests are not even that interesting here. Like Sungji hasn't actually helped Sumin move on. She's just there being cute and hasn't even fought.

I don't disagree that Sumin is over Seju. But it feels more forced that she is over her because she is supposed to end up with Sungji.
It's like the author is saying Sumin and Sungji are meant to be, but their actions (the way they're writing the story) says the opposite.
And even if we ignore that, why still give them more chapters even after season 1 was over? Again, actions speak.louder than words for TG here.
When the extra chapters came out, I was ready to move on and read about Seju with a new girl. But we get their flashbacks again.

So it's better to just put everyone out of their respective miseries and let them get back together. Because Team GJ said this is a story of healing but I haven't seen anyone healing yet, least of all the readers, who are still crazy reactive to any SejuxSumin scenes if the FB group and some others are any indication. It's super interesting, like...chapter full of SungjixSumin? 10 comments....SejuxDowon? same...SejuxSumin? 100+ comments and people literally going nuts writing essays.

It's because the latest chapter also focused about Sumin's taking revenge on Seju to make Seju hate her and give up, and the same topic about "Who's at fault" repeated over again. I guess it will never stop as both Team Black or Team Pink all have their own argument to defend their favs. In short, it is WAR, nothing to feel proud of. Tbh, Seju and Sumin were too toxic to one another, they should have just stayed away from each other's life from now on. And even if Sumin might someday get mature enough, realize her mistakes, apologize to Seju and ask for her forgiveness. It's not like Seju will also stay at same spot to give her another chance. Vice versa. Time passes, things change. We all know that.

Well that's the problem. We all know this is supposed to be happening after all these years, but in reality it doesn't.
And also I don't understand how someone like Sumin who is still portrayed as toxic by the manhwa itself, can apparently have a healthy relationship on her own with Sunji, when she also cheated on her?
They are so focused on Seju's problems and future relationships that they just let Sumin be fine with Sungji. I'm not sure how someone carrying this weight could make it work with anyone, even if that person is not toxic. (like Sungji)
Sum in is still focused on Seju in some way. And why still work in her company? She needs to realize she's not the person who can make Seju stay away from her, because that will also make her involved again.
They spend so much energy trying to be apart, that it makes me wonder if it would be easier to give it a other chance and after failing again, finally realizing there's not much left.

I think the author made a big mistake from the start. They developed so much the whole Seju x Sumin, they got to a point of no returning. And I'm really not a fan of Sumin alone as a character, but her story with Seju is very unique.
I don't really care about the new ships tbh. To me, it always felt like they were meant for each other, despite it not being healthy. It would actually make much more interesting of a story if they did, even if it's controversial.
It's a good example of how the author's feelings got in the way of writing the manhwa the proper way imo.

Yeah, cheating is awful, but things are not always black or white, and there are second chances too. Sumin never really gave Seju a second chance. It would feel more genuine if we saw them trying again, failing and then Sumin ending up with Sungji.

I've read the first volume some months before this got animated. I first thought the mc would be Yuri, because of how she seemed so nervous talking with that blue haired girl. Also that kiss joke. Plus this was on dynasty where there's Yuri most of the time.
Watching the anime until ep 7 it became clear this is not the case after all. I won't lie, I was disappointed. But it's not the het, it's the 40 yo with a 16 yo pairing that's disturbing. Also that weird joke with the predator on that park where the Kabadi leader was training.

She actually does. She has been here before with her account :D I think she reads Dynasty in general too, because I remember a couple of years ago we had two people whose life was very similar to the plot of Pulse, even their names. So I was always wondering if she actually got some ideas from that lol

I don't think she got idea from the forum... For sure she wasn't here (in comments section) "couple years ago" xD if I remember correctly she made acc after Pulse release

I remember these people were talking about RS being here before Pulse. Not saying I think she took that idea from there, but after that situation with that person in the thread happened, a couple of months later Pulse was released.

I don't see the couple in Cocytus as having much hope at all. Shiina betrayed Kuroneko and then took advantage of her. Her fear of being bullied and her guilt about what she did stand between her and any real relationship with Kuroneko.

Maybe there's a possibility for things to improve from where it leaves off, but my reading of Cocytus is that Shiina will never overcome her cowardice and never move past her betrayal. I think that's the message of the ending, with Kuroneko being honest and open, and Shiina standing there unable to say a thing.

Cocytus is a river of the Underworld, which I think is pretty telling of the actual thoughts of the author for the couple. It seems like they are trapped in a cycle of suffering in this "relationship". I don't think it is meant to be portrayed as a positive one.

That's the dirtiest I've been played by a story ever. It's like the author does this solely to torture everyone who likes them, while at the same time we know nothing will actually happen. It's like they don't want us to move on either lol

Citrus was getting increasingly worse and worse. Last chapter is really a joke. So many whats and what the hell going on. No actual development in the characters and Yuzu still desperately after Mei for no valid reason. Mei still being highly unlikable.

getting married? Really? They're like 16. Also how everyone magically knew and wasn't shocked and how easily the grandpa was convinced

That's like as if a kid was writing the story.

For some reason I feel like TG other projects are not gonna be as good as wdtfs. It feels like they said everything they needed to, and from now on it's gonna be just regular stories
