1. What is GENDARE?
GENDARE (similar pronunciation as gender) is a first-ever one-of-a-kind event that promotes fictional media—mainly graphic novels, stories, artworks, and their auxiliary paraphernalia—in the following themes: Boys Love (aka bromance, or the romantic relationships between boys), Girls Love (the romantic relationships between girls), and Gender Bender (about boys who dress and/or behave like girls and vice versa).
It was held in Metro Manila, Philippines on June 17, 2017.

2. OK, so why are you posting this?
I have several reasons:
To support local artists doing BL, GL and Gender Bender works,
To support Black Ink Comics for giving me (and a few others) a good selection of stories regardless of content,
To promote awareness of such events to other people, not just my countrymen.
3. How did it go?
The event itself is small. You can see everything from the entrance. It's full of BL though (and I'm not surprised) but I figured I can still find GL stuff amidst the BL works.
There was a small cosplay event for Black Ink stories. It was pretty cool actually. You can see the cosplayers on their Facebook page.
You can meet-and-greet with the Black Ink artists and play parlor games with them. I had Godley Malabanan and Nald Tabuzo sign my copy of World Canvas and Drift.
There were also some freelance artists there as well.
As for the spoils:
Some stickers I bought. You might recognize some of them. :)
