This was interesting. At least four days without Jin though. Is Junk-Lab another similar manga?

Sorry to disappoint, but Junk-lab is Takemiya's circle name for when she does doujinshi. She hasn't really done another collection of shorts like this.

Aww. Oh well. Are there many doujins under the circle name?

Well it is Korean xD. They really do kiss though, not just touching lips. It's pretty funny too.

Though the second episode gives the feeling of it being cut.

I wonder if it'll be shown how they got together. It looks like the next 5 chapters are for Aki and Saki. Since it wasn't a 'to be continued' but 'to the next couple'. Which makes me a little sad.

Still, this was pretty funny. Even if it would be only one chapter of them.

Episode 3 and 4 are on avistaz, the subs are on the d-addicts thread.

I liked how they zoomed in on the hand-holding xD

Wait wait wait, where is the forced drama and unnecessary angst? Something must have happened to Jin! Lol

The release post says that this was 2008/09 so, something must've happened after it for her to churn out angsty/dramatic stuff.

Escapism perhaps? I mean, when all your ordinary life has is bitterness and drama you might want something else out of what you find on the internet, no?

Perhaps, but I haven't ever enjoyed angst/drama. All time I want fluffy domesticity. Guess I'm just fluff-broken xD

@koneko, I'm guessing Weiss got together with that idiot that was interested in her?

That's awesome, will be looking forward to future chapters then :)

Awesome. More Takemiya Jin is always good, and there will be 11 more days (mostly) of her.

I'd say that Shadow's theory is kind of correct, in the sense that it's not angsty or dramatic. Which appeals to people. I don't know why.

Still, thanks and I'll be looking forward to the other Takemiya Jin releases (and non-Takemiya ones) :]

Just finished 'Josie and Rebecca' by Vada Foster and BL Miller, and it went on hell of a lot longer than it should have. It's set in a Western setting, and it's about an outlaw and a young (19 and 20 little later in the story) woman. It's a little over 400 pages long, but it could have as well been at least 100 pages shorter, and the last 'arc' was entirely unnecessary. The romance felt a little abrupt as well. 200-ish pages of no indication of any attraction to either of them and suddenly there is a declaration of love. It's a really, and I mean really slow burn. There was a few other things that were a little weird, but otherwise, it was a decent read. I still haven't finished Accidental Love by BL Miller, and it looks like this one (Western book) and that one (Accidental Love) are 'uber' stories.

For anyone who likes a Western setting it's going to be a nice read I assume.

I'll always remember Rosy Palm and her five friends though xD

So, I've finally overcome my dread with watching the new episode. I guess the only thing I called was that Momoka was a shitdisturber. Looks like though that Momoka wasn't the only one who got on the island from the organization. And Mirei looks like is second generation, I'm having a little trouble seeing how they'll be okay against the people that are on the island and have taken over.

So, everyone is at the castle, considering the end of the episode? Got 'kidnapped' and stuff. Was it only me though, that Charlotte finally realized what she did? And realized that Momoka was not an ally? The new episode is called Oppresion though, so I don't know.

3 episode left, next one is called Oppresion, next one after that (11) is called Soldier Arm, so we probably will see Mirei not getting her ass whopped finally. The final one doesn't have a name yet. I wonder what Mamori's reaction will be to Akira now, cause they'll probably see her chained or something and she won't recognize her at first. I don't know. All I know is I want to see Kasumi in action and it's her episode so.

I'm pretty much finished with Rebecca's Cove by LJ Maas now and it was okay but far from the best. It felt a little... clunkily written from time to time and the characters did some things that I felt came out of nothing just to make the relationship work. And not to mention how the first 200 pages were pretty much a standard romance and then the last pages were all like "Well, you just started dating and all but should totally get married now because WE'RE ALL WITCHES! MAGIC, MOTHERFUCKER!" Would have been better if they dropped some more hints along the way.
Also, now I want to read a story about the 2 women from the legend.

The supernatural part kind of weirded me out too. I was expecting something paranormal to happen, but the book was shaping up to be a traditional romance so I thought I was imagining things... then it went full-on magical and it kind of clashed with the tone of the story up until that point.

I kind of think it's bad. I mean the way they both are it's like they're bipolar almost and the way the author jumps around with how they feel, the 2 month skip. I mean what's with that? Then that fight, like 2 months haven't passed and it was BJ's first day on the island and then BJ's best friend comes and at first I thought it was a good idea for the push (even if the romantic feelings were barely there, as well as BJ getting sick to her stomach at the thought of something romantic between them), but then it looks more like bullying her into confessing her feelings. Then Hobie riles her up even more by kissing her friend, I mean really? And she knows at the time as well. Then the reveal about Hobie running over her grandmother as well. That shouting match was.. Yeah. Let's not mention BJ's past. In 'therapy' I mean. At least when they tried to sleep with each other after confessing their love, it was believable and fairly genuine, I thought that was the one right thing the author did.

Just finished "Seduction for Beginners" (the mini-sequel to "Something in the Wine"), and it was nice. It showed a bit of progression about their relationship, and not entirely on the sex front, though that was the major factor for which it was written. It also showed about willingness to talk with each other which is nice. I would've liked if it didn't stop after they had sex and showed the 'morning after' or something similar. As it is though, I feel like the major reason it was written (as in 90% of the reason it exists) was because there was no sex scene(s) in the first book. The author does say that she didn't write a sex scene there was because she didn't feel like they were ready, and I very much agree. So she had a bit of compromise here, even if it was more for the sex scene, it still showed a little bit of how they are with each other. It would've been better if there was a talk after the sex, but it's good enough.

Edit: I realized I was just repeating myself xD
So tl;dr, it feels like it was written because of the demand for a sex scene, even if there is a little bit of progression, it's barely enough.

So The Princess Affair has a bad end, then?

No, not at all, it's a very happy end.

Speaking of that, I read the second book "The Princess and the Prix", and I didn't enjoy that very much. Mainly because she resorted to killing of a character (which I really liked, and supposedly the princess' love interest was really good friends with the family, but we don't see anything about them after that. At all.), which then spawned the break-up of the couple, which I'm not entirely sure she should've forgiven her for. I'm a little conflicted about that. The couple from the first book shows up, and unlike the family of the princess from the first book, the new one's family is the complete opposite of that, as in, they're kind of disgusted by gays/lesbians. And while I understand why another press release about the princess being a lesbian could be seen as repetitive, the author didn't show the reaction from the family. The epilogue is them going to an after party of sorts holding hands and saying that there will be a press conference the next day after it revealing that Alix (the princess) is a lesbian and has a girlfriend. And the party isn't even shown. Plus I think the author has a liking for characters who sleep around a lot. In the first book it was Sasha (the princess) and in the second it was Thalia (the princess' love interest). If you want an elaboration feel free to ask xD So I certainly enjoyed the first book more.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just disappointed in the second book.

Trying to remember if the kisses in Love My Life were better or not, can't quite recall.

It's not as comfortable as they should be, but it's not as awkward as it typically is.

My problem, and a very minor problem, with the film version is they played Ichiko as a lot more immature in the movie than she comes off in the manga. She's fairly young, but at least in college. The movie treats her like she's in high school.

I'm imagining that's because in the movie, there's more range of motion. Like you get a panel or two in a manga, but in a movie/tv series, they have to act it out, and if it isn't acted out correctly, then it comes across like something else. But in this case, it would be hard to play her off as mature, considering how petulant she is. Plus she looks pretty young as well.

Not that I didn't love the movie, cause it was really good, but, Japanese/Korean/Asian acting isn't really that good.

It's not only in Japanese TV, also in Korean TV. Haven't watched any other Asian series, but I'm guessing that they're not as comfortable with kissing as the Western people are.

I'm just letting some of you gais know that I might translate the rest of these one-shots, as I do have the rest of the raws. The only problem is redrawing. I can't do complicated redraws, which will be required with some of the issues of this series. I'll give it a go when I get the chance, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do all of them for this reason.

...I'll see how it goes...

Please do :] You probably already know but, why not ask for help on yuriproject?

So you're to blame, huh?

I wish. But all the people who translated this are to blame, which is a good thing (: As well as the author.

I think the office lady ended up realizing that mimi was falling for her when she said she didn't want to accept her money, so she blocked her before things got complicated

Yep, that's what I think as well. She just wanted to have fun with a younger girl.

Now I wonder how they'll meet, and whether Miu will see her when she's going to a hotel with a man or something, either of them.

I know there was a little discussion about Painter of the Wind, but it's been a while and I'll ask again. Is it worth to watch for the yuri? 20+ hours to watch is taxing, more so because every episode is 1 hour and I still can't get used to it. I know the end is left up to the imagination and that optimist think she sailed where the other woman sailed

Edit: Also just finished The Princess Affair by Nell Stark. A modern day romance with the princess of England. It's nice, though as you might expect, the drama near the end of it was pretty high, because you know, royalty and lesbianism. It was painfully obvious what would happen when it's mentioned at the start that the princess' older brother was to serve in the military, accompanied by another thing which is another painfully obvious 'twist'. The plus though, is that her family is supportive of her inclinations. The worst thing is, that if there was ever something similar, it would be exactly how it develops in the real world. I'm honestly disgusted at humans. But the book was good. I'll probably be reading the second in the series about a different princess.

if someone want another movie with .bad. end, you should check "Liz in September"

That's nice information, if even to stay away from it

Okay, I just got to that scene. Coming on to Drew while she's on a date with Annie is definitely pretty questionable.

Yeah, I also don't like pushy people. Unless of course it's one of the MCs, but I'm a hypocrite like that ;)

I just finished Departure From the Script by Jae, and I highly recommend it for someone who wants a sweet romance with absolutely no angst or drama. It's a really fun book.
