Because I just can't see how a seasonal anime would work, unless they completely change the story or the order of events.

The way this series ellicits completely opposite opinions will never cease to amuse me. X) Keeping tracks of the charaters is really not that hard though. You just have to… look at the volume covers.

In most of these couples it's like there's a sane one and a crazy one. But Moe and Cousin are both sane and Ayaka and Yurine are both crazy. So ship Moe and Yurine and Ayaka can be with her jealous controling cousin and people will finally read the school newspaper. Who's with me?

I'm curious at how chap 25 will be handled… There's one more chap to conclude volume 5, but Sawa and Itsuki's arc seems pretty much over already. So I guess chap 25 will be half them, half AyaYuri.

I tend to vividly remember insignificant details from my little childhood, but forget the important stuff. So I would likely have forgotten that promise but remembered what color Itsuki's hair decorations were. >.>

Maybe Sawa's attitude was a bit insensitive, or at least carefree regarding Sawa's feelings, true. But it did allow Itsuki to move forward in the end.

I object to that. Who's the denser of the two, really? The one who remains stubbornly fixated on a promise made when they were 6 years old, or the one who acknowledges that she never took it that seriously, that she can't keep it, and proposes a somewhat more viable alternative that still answers her friend's true wish (as much as I'm skeptical about the whole model thing)?

Chapter 24… I'm not sure what to think of this chap. On one hand, I love Sawa and Itsuki's interactions, and the work on the shadowing and facial expressions is fantastic (Canno has definitely improved in the latter). Especially the detailed reflections in the eyes…

On the other hand… I can't say I like the development itself. =[ There's something about dreaming to become a model that just doesn't click with me. I'm not sure it's a particularly healthy dream for anyone to have. I guess Sawa could be the photograph, but… I don't know.

Oh, and it seems Ayaka skipped some details in the story she told them. :þ

Yeah, seems Itou Hachi shipped Shouko and Naoka.

Anyway, I liked it. After reading Hontou no Kanojo this is a… different kind of fluff, lol. The art is a bit simple but it works for this kind of light-hearted (and overall light) story.

Also, damn, Nao is tiny. XD

I interpreted the last page as Ayaka being herself once again. She just needed to vent her frustrations. That's kinda sad, if you think about it.

Not quite… Her competitive spirit is back, but going by that panel of the little her hugging Yurine's hat, something's definitely changed in her state of mind. As Faust said, she doesn't sound as desperate about it anymore.

Reminder that this arc started with a school newsletter interview with Ayaka. I wonder exactly how much of this she ended up telling to the information committee? I wonder what she'll let slip and what kind of article is going to come out of it.

Should provide for some entertaining reactions when it gets published for the whole school to see.

I wouldn't be surprised if she had told them something quite different from what we were shown. :þ

…Which reminds me that there are only two chapters left to wrap up Sawa and Itsuki's arc. Wonder how Canno will do that.

Anyway, how do you interpret the last two pages? It kinda confused me… She thinks it's fine to not be the best, but she still wants to defeat Yurine? Does it just mean she accepts all the contradictory parts of herself?

and it's clear that Kurosawa is worried about Shiramine.

And I think it's the first time we see Yurine worry not about Ayaka the rival but about Ayaka the human being. It sort of continues the glimpse of development she had in chapter 12, where she started to notice her love was deeper than she thought. And Ayaka has acknowledged Yurine as someone important to her (notice the hat!)

We can probably consider this the chapter where Ayaka has fallen in love for good.

Dunno if it's true, but it's probably the one that's most likely to get an anime right now. It's too early for YagaKimi.

I like this series a lot, but I have a lot of difficulty liking Mei. She's just too robotic for too long. She uses Yuzu way too much. Before long, it's just like "Go fuck yourself, Mei."
