The story isn't that developed yet from just these chapters, but it looks fairly promising.
I've never read this kind of plot before, and I'm pretty amused.
Mc finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her (no worries, not very dramatic/angsty) when she runs into him with another girl (it's a terrible first impression/ meeting, isn't it). She's really pissed off, but she's also quite smitten with the girl, because she's her "ideal type". It's interesting because along with the expected tension and hostility/passive aggressiveness between them, mc can't help that she's also super into her and fully acknowledges it.
I'll try to remember to keep an eye on this, looking forward to seeing more of it.

I'd like to see her try to help Sato become less of a murderous and underhanded person instead of working against her. I could sort of see it happening too where she learns about Sato and Shio but also ends up learning about Sato's aunt so rather than turning her friend into the police or something she wants to help her become more normal.

I'm too used to seeing every new character getting in her way, and Sato's a pretty solitary person too (aside from Shio), the thought of someone trying to help her (out of their own volition, not blackmailed) and Sato accepting someone's help never even crossed my mind. Tho I'd be worried that if bff does sympathise and offers to help, Sato still offs her cus doubts, preferring to keep their sweet life intact and secretive, and wanting to keep Shio's existence all to herself.

Oh, I think this is the same pair from one of the Little Theater of Anokiss shorts, where a school girl becomes interested in a cool, older girl/woman who picked up her handkerchief. It felt pretty silly when I first read it, but I thought it was intriguing and would have liked to see more of them. It's with those same feelings in mind that I read this, so I guess that's why I'm not being as critical of Mao's behaviour as I probably should be, I just wanted to see where it'd go. Admittedly, it could have used more pages, but I'm happy enough to even see them again.

Sure we have all these creepy ppl obsessed with Sato (and legit being a threat to her, but they were sloppy and Sato brought them all to their knees), but as of now, BFF is seemingly the most sane person of them all, as well as how she low key has a hunch and recently started to pay more attention to Sato-chan. She'll probably notice something others wouldn't ever have, with their tunnel vision. Either way, she's the only not-yandere character in Sato's life rn, and she's already wondering about the aunt/Sato's current lifestyle, heard the lolicon's accusations (she doesn't believe him, but ofc, it'll still be on her mind), aware of the existence/disappearance of Shio-chan, and now interacted more with the brother (+sees Shio-chan again. If Shio-chan keeps coming back to mind like this, BFF will really be weirded out). I don't remember who else she's talked to, or what else she's thought of, but those are already some of the main pieces. She isn't really doing anything rn (unless she continues talking to the lolicon I guess? Hearing him out?) but she's been casually observing Sato and hasn't alarmed her; that's a big enough deal I find. (Alarmed her, in the sense that Sato currently doesn't have a reason to be cautious of her, and isn't on her guard/seeking to terminate her, so BFF can continue unknowingly poking around)

I cringed a few times for mc tho, but it's not like I can tell what's she's supposed to do.
What's interesting isn't just that Yoona's an asshole tho, she's like, sadistic and dominant, it's not just being mean, it straight up gives you chills, the power she has over Jia/mc.
It's more like one of those stories where mc is obedient, weak ish and at the mercy of a beautiful, popular girl who's actually secretly super mean (like, no one else knows). The popular girl is obviously "out of her league", yet she teases mc, which just confuses her and she doesn't know what to think, whether she already likes that girl, or comes to like her later.
Is the popular girl just a pretty face? Is she just an asshole? Does she become deeper, or was she actually an asshole with character depth that we also didn't know about?
Usually this kind of story revolves around mc being a nice girl (gotta usually be a nice and maybe patient person, to stay around someone who's shitty to you), and really transparent and unable to read the pretty girl, and is just wrapped around her finger. Things happen and they grow closer and the pretty girl probably has a personality beyond being a dick to her most of the time.
I like this sort of story actually lmao, I feel the mcs haha. I'm surprised about the two male characters. Idk what their role could be in the plot, but it doesn't seem like they're out for any of the girls so it's chill
