This was such a good chapter! But is it really the last one??? It totally feels like there could be one more to bring things to an end because that would be a really abrupt ending if so....

One thing I still don't quite understand is the whole swapped identity thing. The two girls didn't swap identities, right? Grandma's who she says she is, despite the Alzheimer's?

No they never swapped identities. Their personalities just changed because of their experiences. It seemed like they swapped personalities because they swapped outlooks on life.

Mitsu used to be cold and reserved because she felt trapped by society (she was in an arranged marriage). That was changed when she met Kiyoko who inspired her to live the life she wanted (which was kind of a double edged sword since she took "living for Kiyoko" a lil too far lol and was never able to move on). So Mitsu ended up living with more determination and courage to face society.

Kiyoko used to be outgoing and cheerful because she thought she'd be free from society's rules if she died. So she lived her life cheerfully thinking she will die soon anyway. After the suicide failed, she realized she'd have to participate in society and lost the courage to break free of it and thus became depressed and resigned. Being too afraid to live the life she wanted and at the same time too afraid to take her life, she just withdrew into her shell.

Beautiful. It was painfully depressing, but what a beautiful piece of storytelling from beginning to end. Thanks so much for the scanlation.

The author is doing such a good job with the MC LOL. Even in her whole inspirational speech without the parts in parentheses you can just feel the selfish scumbag oozing out of it.

Jeez I just read the afterword and I kinda wish she didn't tell him she called the police so he'd have to talk to the police himself, but I also get it'd be dangerous to keep him around longer. Ugh glad she ended up being OK.

Kiku is too good. I love how gentle and understanding this chapter was.

How hard is it for Yuni to realize that Nanase is NOT getting fearful of coming out of the closet, but rather is a cheater. This chapter shows a part of how inconsiderate and selfish of Nanase and essentially treats Yuni a disposable f***buddy.

Uh with the latest ch updated, are we reading the same series? The only one Nanase is cheating with is her volleyball career lol.....other than that she's just your typical scared, closeted teenager (who shouldn't be in a relationship since she's not ready for it).

I don't blame Nanase's actions in this chapter. I don't think forgetting anniversaries and stuff means you love them any less. Heck, something important happened to her and the first person she wanted to tell was her gf. Things happen, people are busy, it's sometimes hard to keep track of dates. I hate it when people get angry for things because they expect something to happen, but it doesn't and then never let the other party know why they're upset. You can't always expect the other person to know what you're thinking of. If it bothers you just let them know about it.

I know this is supposed to be another example as to why Nanase and Yuni aren't a good fit together, but yeah that "it's our anniversary next week and I'm gonna wait for her to come to me first about it, oh no she forgot!" always gets on my nerves.

All I needed was that saving scene in ch 4 for the gears to start turning. Plus like I said, I think their personalities would be cute together (both airheaded but for different reasons). One is naive and the other is just really chill and goes with the flow.

^ no I'm pretty sure the last panel was Sena which is why the chapter ends with "what's the meaning behind Sena's words?". I think it's just further emphasizing that Sena doesn't believe that Kiku really loves her and accepted Kiku's offer as a test of her feelings (and also to get her mind off her sister).

After they mentioned how Kiku is sensitive to cold, I went back and realized she really does bundle herself up a lot whenever she goes outside haha. It was a cute detail.

This was cute and sweet. Art was great too! It'd be nice to see an epilogue. After all, the hardest part of dating an idol is after they debut.

Priestess all the way! She seems the most interesting so far and I always love a good enemies to lovers story.

I feel like the author themselves like the maid though because she's being written the most naturally and so far the only character with the most depth. So it feels a bit unfair since I think it will just naturally lead a lot of readers to choose maid for a lot of things.
