This is the very first chapter of this series that made some emotion in me appear. I mean, the manga is not good, you can't connect with any chapter or concentrate in any fight because some gigantic balloons keep stoling the spotlight, but this chapter was the first that was not awful.

The popularity of sadistic, misogynistic Japanese pornography saddens me.

Also I don't know what this guy is talking about? Not that I deny what they said, it's just that I don't know why they felt to just blurt it out like that here? Is it some cathartic kinda thing?

While I have a lot of problems with this series and the writing I find the idea of "huge titties = bad series" to be silly. Though I might also be misunderstanding you, and apologies if I am. Still I imagine even if the writing was amazing there would be people calling the series terrible just because of the breast size regardless. Not a line of logic I'll ever follow personally, but alas haha

Instead of having Momo communicate that she doesn't like Nanase's behavior, the author does some absurd fucking mental gymnastics and introduces an awful new character to sexually abuse Nanase in front of Momo. This is along the lines of rolling a critical failure in a TTRPG, seriously what the hell was the author thinking?

Sigh. This whole chapter was just disappointing once more, and of course that ending making Mary once again just the creepiest.

Yeah I loved the art for the series, really loved it. I appreciate the scan/translations and don't regret reading it. However the story and character just felt...kind of like there could have been more to them? More to their relationship. It just kind of doesn't really go anywhere and is instead awkward the whole time, it even ends with them still in an awkward relationship.

Notably I LOVE slice of life, I enjoy slow burn works, but often there feels like some bit of character progress in slice of life series. The characters learn new things, try new things, expand their relationships, so fourth. For me there iis usually meaning and progress in slice of life, even if it's mundane. Here it felt like the progress was kind of almost non existent, outside of them at the end getting jobs in similar fields as adults. Their relationship has this weird stagnant gap that feels very strange, and even without them becoming lovers I feel that their friendship...doesn't really work? Kind of but not really. It's a very strange feeling.

There's probably only 2 or 3 chapters left to this whole thing. It had a fine place till this volume. I think the theory that the author is being forced to finish this quickly is correct.

I hate when this happens, one of my favorite old obscure mangas had this exact same thing happen.

Based on what people said when this went on hiatus we know the author pushed himself too far while working with Carpal Tunnel. It's unfortunate, but as I've said in previous posts it's better for the author to focus on his health. It's why I can't feel any hate here, instead I'm only putting my energy into well wishes towards the author and a full recovery.

^ I assume Pyoro was just joking due to how common it is for yuri manga to get suddenly axed. Vampeerz sells well enough that it has international releases (gotta go pick up volume 3 next week over here) and the plot getting serious is something that was bound to happen the moment the Ghika organization was introduced.

Haha fair, unfortunately it's hard to tell sometimes when people are joking about the axe. I know it can happen suddenly, but people are also quick to assume the axe sometimes as well. Also yeah the organization introduction was a big sign, especially combined with how this author has been hiding his truly dark side this whole time.

I didn't really get that from the front page, personally I'm not worried about spoilers for this series. I was mainly hoping to help anyone that does care. However if people don't really think of it as spoilers then that's fine, carry on haha

Oh yeah I think it's also obvious that they have sexual relations based on that page, to clarify I think confirmation of cheating via them having "secret sex" in future chapters could be a bit of a spoiler. I was thinking you were saying the cheating is also obvious and maybe it is, but that's the element I don't get from the page in question. I might also be misunderstanding you, apologies. I mostly thought with this first chapter that there were a few possibilities for future paths, like based on the cover/second page I thought the author might go for poly right away instead of cheating as one example. Maybe naïvely innocent of me heh

Also they were talking about future content on the author's twitter, so I thought it probably counted as a spoiler. I wasn't trying to get on their case or anything, just a friendly heads up is all. Apologies if I said something wrong or came off as rude though, it wasn't my intent.

From what I know the manga is doing well, but I might be wrong.

Given the tone of the story it's probably just going to be some joke situation anyway ...
... but then it's a manga, so it might also do a 180° hardcore turn and turn into something else altogether.

It's not that it's manga, it's the author. I've been saying I'm genuinely terrified of what might happen for a bit now, but so far things have managed to bounce back via comedy.

It's still possible that this will end up being some comedically solved situation, but I don't think most people on this site are really truly aware of the dark shit this author is capable of.
