You are lost in wishful thinking. Even the gorge that opened between Yuu and Touko is only them not being able to figure out their BLATANTLY OBVIOUS love for each other and position. The audience is supposed to know what it is, while the characters are in denial...

I am convinced that Yuu loves Touko and has for a long time. But I'm not convinced at all that Touko loves Yuu. Maybe we have different definitions of love? For me, love is not infatuation, it's wanting what's best for your partner and taking their feelings into account in your day to day life.

Well, the whole premise of the series is that Touko has always had an incredibly misguided and distorted notion of what "love" is and how it works, so much so that it's remarkable that her behavior hasn't been even more toxic and destructive than we've seen it being--you could easily take the basic premises of this story and turn it into a really dark psychological horror/thriller.

(Cue images of hollow-eyed pyscho-Touko holding a knife, saying "You broke your promise, Yuu . . . You lied to me, and you know I can't stand liars!")

There are probably countless definitions of what "real love" is, but I'd guess that most of them have in common some version of the one thing that this story has disallowed from the beginning: reciprocity. So "not really love" is basically the given of the story: Touko has a distorted idea of what love is, and Yuu starts out with no real idea at all. Getting them both onto the same page with a shared, reality-based understanding of "real love" has always been the ultimate goal of the whole story.

Well...yes? Kisses don't always have to mean "I love you, let's stay together forever" you know. It's not an empty kiss, they have been close friends for all this time and Touko and Yuu are not dating yet.

Now, it's true that a kiss doesn't have to mean anything, but for the protagonists in both "Sakura Trick" and "Girl Friends" it ended up being a slippery slope. And I highly doubt Nakatani Nio would do something similar. There's a non-zero possibility, but that would just shit up this manga. I know I deviated from whatever I wanted to tell and what you actually said, but I'm working on time constraints, since I gotta go for a date within this hour, but this is the shit my comment turned out to be, so I we'd all have to deal with that

There is only Yuri. Shoujo Ai is a made up term in the West. It doesn't exist. Everything you ever thought was "Shoujo Ai" is labeled Yuri in Japan. Deal with it.

I'm glad that's the case. I have put the dirty phase of my life behind me, and I intend NOT to return to it EVER AGAIN. As I said, I consider it a stain in my life.

I have no desire to see those two kiss in the slightest. Maybe in an AU spin-off chapter, but at this point that is basically just like bashing their heads against a wall for a few minutes. A painful dead end.

Queer sidekicks/best friends/third wheels, etc. are shipping catnip to a significant proportion of the yuri manga readership, no matter how loudly and consistently the story as a whole is shouting “IT’S NOT GOING TO BE THEM! NOT EVER! I MEAN IT!”

This seems to be especially the case when the character in question is forthright about their same-sex desires (at least to themselves) while the MCs are doing some sort of “but we’re both girls/I’m not a lesbian, I only love you/how do two girls even have sex?/our love can never be,” etc. song and dance in the main plot.

All I'm saying is, before the end of this manga we need to at least have a Sakaya x Touko kissing scene. While at the same time not preventing the Yuu x Touko endgame, since Yuu needs to be happy.

What I'm about to say is something that I'm actually very very ashamed for, but 10-ish months ago, I found some much much more lewd things in yuri than handholding or kissing. Now, I consider it a stain in my life. sigh

Damn, that sure was enjoyable to watch. Too bad I'm either not observing enough or not memorizing enough to get into the very scant few ever so slight deviations. But, I still gotta say that I'm glad they've been sticking to the manga thus far.
Now, the question is: will they get to a certain point in the manga and then wait for the manga to finish for a season 2, or if they'll skip a lot of events (some of which we don't even know now) to just show how the manga will end? The latter is something that I really frown upon, as I can say from my earlier experience with anime...

Well, guess I was right when I predicted that I'm gonna watch episode 4 on the computer, and not the phone. cracks nuckles Time to google that!

I just remembered that someone noticed that, near the end of episode 3, a guy saw how Touko hugged Yuu from the rear and then whispered something. That someone thought that the guy in question already has started getting suspicious about it. Now, even though I did watch episode 3 last week, my brother didn't. For several days, we struggled to find episode 3 again, so we only watched it today. Guess what? The guy in question was Maki! And to realize that only on the day the following episode is released. That's what I call "inefficient timing".

Sorry—I grew up with brothers, and could not imagine that as brother behavior.

Unless it would be reading manga, listening to music, and practicing WWF body slams with the younger brother.

My brother and I tend to be on good terms, but we can get into arguments or even fights every now and then over the most banal of things. For example, recently, because a scene from an Italian comedy film, where the main character says "Qui e ultimo e una pirla", which both of, as well as both our parents, find funny, he started combining the sentence with many other things, but one of those combos really triggers the hell out, "Säkkijärven Pirla", because I find as him ruining one of my favourite songs, and the only Finnish song that I've actually like, capled "Säkkijärven Polkka". We ended up fighting both yesterday evening and today morning over that shit.

In a lot of ways, it's kind of like the relations between Egypt and Sudan, tbh.
