For those wanting a part three, part one was released at Bokura no Love Live! 10 and part two at 11. 12 has come and gone without a new release, so this is how it ends.

I laughed at the scene with Miyuki's mother, but is that supposed to be part of the plot? It seems like it could work, but everything around it seems to fail to fit. Also, Konata became a bitch and Tsukasa went insane out of nowhere; there needs to be some build up to both. I can accept Miyuki being randomly turned into a yandere(as out of character as it is), but there needs to be some sort of flow between scenes other than "Miyuki's dating Konata".

As for the translation, if he wasn't doing much more than cleaning up Google Translate, it would've been better to leave a note at the beginning rather than constantly interrupting the flow with "(I don't know)".

Why expend so much effort critiquing a steaming pile? It's because it's a steaming pile it's worth analyzing: you learn more from catastrophic failures than little hiccups, after all.

I'm always baffled by this community's aversion to toys. Like LOTS of women use toys it's totally normal and yet they're like the number two thing people complain about after het.

As a guy who likes het and doesn't care for toys in yuri, my top two guesses would be that adding toys brings it closer to normal hentai smut and that it removes the flesh-on-flesh aspect of it all. Most of the time(on either side) I like my stuff vanilla-y, so I suppose the straying from that "ideal"(for lack of a better word) also helps me to not care for it(though this is linked to reason #2, it feels like it's separate at the same time).

It's a great pairing, though School Idol Days does put a bit of a damper on my enjoyment. I suppose it's something that needs to be handled delicately to make work without Kotori going yandere on anyone.

@Faylicia:
Depends on how you count for Homura. Homura Tamura puts her age at 26 at one point(after several jokes about her "advanced" age in general earlier in the series). Her actions in Rebellion make more sense when you count the long, slow slide into insanity.

I just now noticed this, but there are absolutely no naughty bits shown in this doujin.

You've really got stones to make a joke like that.

You guys hit rock bottom with those puns.

I feel the next page or so is going to be pretty rocky in terms of quality.

keep them going, rock it baby !! ....

you guys better stop....or I'm going to stone you all to death

These rock puns are a stone's throw away from getting out of hand

No need to rock the boat, now.

The sediment of this thread makes me want to see mohs of it.

these puns are a real diamond in the rough.

These jokes are getting boulder by the minute

At least no one stays stone-faced after reading this.

Aaaand we fall off the rocky road of sobriety into the canyon of temptation.

Nagisa's from the movie. Mami's from the first three episodes.

Patchy's clearly noticed, but the question is whether or not Sakuya managed to trick a just-woke-up Remilia. Apparently the answer is yes.

Is it just me or does Nagisa look angrier? Is it that Madoka's more forgiving or that Mami just stretched out her last pair of panties?

Given that the dynamic in his big series isn't exactly healthy, either, I'm not too terribly surprised that this one isn't the best. He went on to throw in a pretty worst-case scenario as a side relationship in that, so I'd suspect he's deliberately exploring dysfunction here.

The Oricon charts don't count international sales(though they collect the data), which I expect were probably disproportionately high for this series. But if they were high enough to make the production committee sit up and take notice, the manga publisher would've almost certainly been tripping over themselves trying to license it for sale in the west; since nobody's announced it, I'd surmise they didn't reach any higher than "at least somebody liked it" levels.

Haha better stop smoking for Nico-chan then!... well, if they survived thag crash i mean... XD

They're both wearing seatbelts, so crashing into the side of a convenience store's extremely unlikely to kill them, since the car will be stopped relatively gently by the aisles(in comparison to the usual walls). That's assuming that Maki remembers to use the left break peddle, of course.

Also, did anybody else catch that plate?

The only thing I can figure is that the relevant expression is longer in English than Japanese and the translator wasn't kind enough to provide a note.

Man, I always feel so bad for those dying bugs on the ground that feebly buzz around as they breath their last breaths (╥_╥)

Don't be - take solace in that bugs don't breathe at all because they don't have lungs.

Miku was released before Luka. It's not not weird at all.

I have the exact same issue, running Chrome on my phone. I haven't tried anything else since Chrome's not removable and I don't have any space thanks to SIF.

Last I checked, the artist hadn't updated their Pixiv in months. I've resigned myself to the fact that it's not happening.

Do you know if they've recalled the first printing or at least where to get a good copy? Unfortunately it looks like Barnes & Noble doesn't carry anything but the first volume in its stores and I don't think anybody else around here does, either, so I can't flip through and verify. I'm really reluctant to just order this online after that screwup.

I'll take any pairing with Eli that isn't her with Umi. This was a nice change of pace. YuriShu12 who are you to say KotoEli is not right? Everyone in Muse is shippable with everyone.

I'm just waiting for that doujin that ships everyone with everyone at the same time.

Shoujo-Ai vs. Yuri 09 May 05:10

The only place I've seen "shoujo-ai" actively maintained is MyAnimeList, where the fact that yuri is yuri was brushed off by the admins as "Not on MAL". With one of the largest databases on the web insisting so damn hard on being wrong, it's no surprise people think it's a thing.

That's just how 4koma manga usually go, they don't usually have mind blowing endings and stick to the simple storytelling style. I don't really know what exactly more they could have done here to improve it, sure you might say the plot comes out of nowhere in the last few chapters, but again that's really usually how these types of manga go, at least from my experience.
I remember watching the K-on anime and crying at the end because they graduated and then i read the manga and the transition was much less emotional because of the format. It's kind of the same here really.

What's poor writing isn't so much the plot itself, but the fact that the backstory was never developed. The whole magic world and Libor family thing could have been built up some over the course of the series; instead the author basically threw the first away after enrolling Rhianna in school and never even mentioned the latter.

part two: Hitomi goes to high school and meets a new girl, forgets about her senpai and has a new relationship. Yay happy ending!

Actually, this is (mostly) the most likely and realistic happy ending if you ask me, especially given their age. The most important component to a strong happy ending here is that their friendship remains strong, even if romance never flourishes.
