I can't help but feel that the quality of Gakku Gurashi has dropped sharply after the school arc.

The new characters still don't seem to be important, I still don't get the dynamics between the two factions and why in blazes the melee crew thinks that the new arrivals are responsible for the death of four-eyes, or why they are after the bookworm. Maybe it's the translation but some of the dialogues don't make much sense and most of the reactions are just over the top. People you know have a short fuse trap you in the library? Better freak out over a dropped cigarette. Yeah, that's what you should do.

The really exciting issues somehow just seem to peter out or to be on the back burner.

Meh, and I'm really trying to like this new arc.

The world needs more Tenryu X Tatsuta!

An extra that is pretty much in full agreement with the on-the-fence style of the whole manga. Lots of things were hinted at but never followed up on, some major developments never explained and now we have a pretty medium and not well-done extra.

When all is said and done, it proved to be an unmemorable experience.

The genki is dazzlingly bright.

The art style is great. I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of but I really dig it. It's kind of reminiscent of Kumichou's characters smiling but at the same time it's not.

Had some reading up to do as I've been busy the past few weeks. The recent chapters were great, especially how Seol-a is going on the offensive. You go, girl! She has really shaped up to be the character I like more between the two of them if I had to choose, something which really surprised me.

And Ssamba's chibis are really adorable. I could read a whole chapter chock-ful of chibi reaction faces.
