...how the heck is it an "abusive relationship" when the violence was directed at an outside party. (That said third party decided to not take offense is their business.) The tensions within the relationship are of a completely different character.

Plus, Matsuri did everything on her power to get Sayaka pissed enough to get punched by her. She just never expected Yuzu to throw herself in the middle.

I'm more worried about Matsuri's subplot

I think that Matsuri is taking those self-destructive tendencies out of sheer desperation about being completely ignored (on her eyes) by Harumin. Like, she has tried every trick on her book but she has failed to completely crack Harumin's armor and that is what is causing her anguish. So, she does the only thing she knows, mess up with others.

Is going to be so satisfying when Sayaka finally accepts and embraces her lesbianism.

Of course it ends just when it gets to the good part.

Just for the record, the writer who is male goes by Ikko while the artist is female and allegedly, goes by Nico.

That said, I find amusing how in that Watamote chapter, Nico/the artist comes off like Tomoko, jumping at the chance to avoid working by feigning concern for Ikko's well being.
