From pre-Yuu Touko’s POV, Sayaka would have been the least suitable partner imaginable. So far from being unable to return Touko’s love, Sayaka was already in love with her.

By Touko’s initial criteria, if Sayaka had confessed, Touko might have felt compelled to strangle her. :)

I don't think it would've gone that far, concidering the comradery they've built... But there may come to be some dissasociation?

Girl Friends is an even slower burn than YagaKimi for sure. And those two were much denser than our protagonists here.

I mean, it's only 5 volumes, so it's empirically not a slower burn. ;p

Pacing my friend. Girl Friends took 6 chapters to even get slightly beyond pure friendship. There was quite a bit of build-up just to reach subtext.
Density of actual developements and events is just not comparable. YagaKimi reached the first confession in more or less chapter 1 and the first kiss in chapter 2 lol

And by five volumes the primary conflicts were all resolved and they were in a happy, committed relationship and I believe had banged? It's been awhile since I read it.

You can also argue as to whether the confession and kiss in the first few chapters really represent that much development when the other character didn't get the courage to vocalize -her- feelings until Chapter 34. :p

My point is, at some stage we have to average things out and look at the overall trend. For SCIENCE.

Meanwhile, little over a month ago, before I even heard of YagaKimi, I f***ing mistook these two for Yuzu and Mei from Citrus. It was, I think, in a video by xmoonlightchanx, in which yuri anime to be expected for autumn were shown. At first, I was dissapointed it wasn't Citrus season 2. The day after, I started reading YagaKimi, and finished what was by that point written a further day later. Since then, Yagate Kimi ni Naru has pretty much toppled Citrus from the position of my favourite yuri.

Yeah, I've got the same internal dilemma: I want Sayaka to be happy, but that would ruin the ship I'm supporting, and I end up with an internal conflict. Ugh.

That is actually currently in development by genetic scientists, so the idea isn't as far fetched as it might seem.

BTW, am I the only one who finds the situation shown on this fanart hilarious?

I like to think that Yuu was walking while reading something on her phone, while Touko was stretching for several seconds, and has, as a result, closed eyes. And then the accident shown in this fanart happened.

Maybe I should become one who writes the stories behind single frame fanarts?????

Damn, I finally made an f'n account. Now, I have visited this site and read comments for quite a while now, but finally I can make one:

This fanart is f***ing killing me! On one hand, I wish this was how it went, but on the other, I know it's very unlikely, and will likely make for an anti-climactic ending, so I guess it's better to just wait some more. At least we've got the anime every Friday and I can also pass the time studying or watching memes, history or mapping.
