She uses established couples as springboards for new couples all the time in her manga, and the name is “more soft-boiled girls”. The new couple are more soft-boiled girls

Strongly, strongly suggest adding the translation note about green to... the translation note about green. Understanding the meaning is integral to the entire page, so putting it in credits just forces re-reading and makes the page lose its initial impact. +It's mildly annoying to have to skip to credits and see the rest of the comic spoiled on the way (on mobile).

It doesn't need a paragraph explaining the full cultural context, just a sentence explaining that it means being cheated on.

Tbh I just took it as the western “green with envy” before reading the note, it kinda works fine in that regard

Ugh... Same, old trope to start a "yuri route" in adult life.

Some people are bi or discover their preferences late, you shouldn't be bitter about that.

I like this, usually the cliché is that it's pretty much always the older woman who introduces the younger one to same-sex relationships.

I'm not a fan of this trope more because it portrays same sex attraction in women as still revolving around men in the form of being hurt by men pushing them towards women. It treats it like some kind of trauma response and leads into all kinds of gross mindsets about "fixing" sapphic women.

I really like how the first and last chapters are like a standard yuri manga and everything in between is just bits

May the mangaka pull more side jokes like that in the future, she has the sophisticated skills for it.

I kinda love how, in the flashack to when she was a kid and talking to her friends about their crushes, she was all "I like these two girls" and the response wasn't "Not like that, we're talking about boys, silly". Instead, it was "No, you have to pick one, you can't date both". Like they all knew she was gay already. That part was old news. It was fun. Very zoomer. I don't really know how The Youth deal with queer stuff in real life Japan, but it felt pretty believable, at least among a little group of friends.

I think in Cannos works being gay is the norm not the exception. But I can definitely see modern kids in accepting environments being more confused by someone being poly then someone being gay
