Yeah, that one was nice, I love those sorts of metaphors, even if the ending is bittersweet.

This one, though, is outright disturbing.

One of the lessons that my second African American Literature teacher drilled into our heads was the importance of reading things that make us uncomfortable. If we shield ourselves from everything that causes us the slightest amount of negative emotions, then we won't know how to deal with those emotions in any real-world circumstance. You can't make your bad feelings go away by avoiding them, because they'll just grow and grow, and when they do come out, it'll be much worse.

Oh Spencer, you definitely don't have PTSD. It's completely different when the bad stuff has ALREADY happened to you.

Gummi and the rest of us agreed on taking a short break after chapter 7, since they seem to be overwhelmed by real life issues, but it should be nowhere near two years. We already have raws for the remaining chapters, and this series is a breeze to clean/typewrite so it should be done pretty soon after Gummi sends me the script.

In short, don't worry.

I so wish these chapters were even just a few more pages long. This is actually one of my favorite ongoing yuri manga other than that.

I'm used to reading webcomics, and it's rather common to wait a week for each page of the comic, so having four pages every week or two actually does better in comparison.

This is more of a suggestion, and it probably won't be done, but I'd be grateful if it was at least considered.

This series is named "Murasakiiro no Qualia". A better translation for this title is "The Qualia of Purple" instead of "Qualia the Purple". It is both more accurate and makes much more sense if you read the story, because "Qualia" isn't a name, it is a physical concept. It's like saying "The Sensation of Purple", which makes a lot more sense than "Sensation the Purple".

I don't think it's super complicated. Fujishiro's on the rebound from a bad breakup, Kurokawa was there for her at a critical moment. She's infatuated, and she is in the process of discovering she likes girls. (or a girl, at least)

She probably hasn't even figured out -why- she is so desperate to be around Kurokawa yet.

That would be cute... but, if that's the case, I'd like to see some confusion. In this last chapter, she looks cool and unflappable -- always in control, full of self-assurance and right on top of the situation. That's not the normal reaction when your whole world is turning upside-down, when your feelings are in turmoil and you are thinking about discarding all the things you had valued up to that time (because they suddenly seem worthless). I'd like to see her act bewildered and panicky, I'd like to see her question her choices and worry about the consequences. It's unrealistic that she's so calm and Kurokawa is the only one going into a tizzy.

Fujishiro just exploded at her old group of friends on one moment, then made radical changes to her looks overnight. I don't think she's handling this well at all. A psychiatrist and friend once taught me that exaggerated emotional responses are rarely related to its apparent trigger, and are more often signs of deeper, subconscious conflicts. The way I see it, Fujishiro isn't calm or cool, she's completely out of balance.

.......but that's just an interpretation, we have no idea whether this is actually intended by the author or not.

Her first band is Love, Robot (comma included, pronounced "love comma robot"), punk rock (you might wanna skip their first album). Her current project is Heirsound, style varies a lot, but with strong pop influences.

Halsey is a relatively famous bisexual singer and songwriter. Alternative pop. Her second album has openly gay lyrics on a couple of songs.

Phoenix Arn-Horn is drummer and singer for pop-punk band Courage My Love. Her identical twin sister Mercedes (which is straight) is lead singer in the band (very fun trying to guess who's singing each line of their songs, since they have pretty much the same voice).

Tonight Alive lead singer and songwriter Jenna McDougall doesn't talk much about her sexuality, but has twitted that she likes girls and also wrote this very gay song called "The Other Side" so we all know she's bi. Earlier songs are pop punk, newer releases are mostly alternative. Check their latest album, it's quite good.
