It always baffles me when countries don't allow for same sex couples to adopt. There's so many kids out there that need loving parents and a good home.

It mainly has to do how marriage works in Japan and how slow they are with changing the system. For marriage the woman has to be registered into the man's family register which is why same-sex couples cannot do that right now. Single mothers are generally looked down upon, and up until not too long ago children born out of wedlock did not have the same rights as "regular" kids when it would come to things such as inheritance.

Japan's adoption system is pretty bad anyway, only around 15% of orphans in childcare institutions actually get adopted (compared to something like 70+% of the UK and the US). Additionally, most adoptions in Japan are adult men getting adopted into families so the family can keep their family name and company through their adopted heir. Ironically this also allows same-sex couples to become recognized as family by adopting the other.

Plus, there was the recent guy who was the prince of that flower show Yamada liked, who came and taught at her college causing a whole bunch of jealous drama with Kase, and the prince ended up giving some pretty good advice to Kase about how her jealousy could damage her and Yamada's relationship.

I don’t know why, but Jun is really setting of my “danger alarm” for some reason. Like, I keep getting the weird feeling that she’s going to try and “register” Nadeshiko to herself in order to eliminate her competition, and that’s going to start a whole thing. I don’t know why that’s the direction my brain keeps going in, but it is.

Pretty sure you're describing NTR essentially, and yeah I have trust issues with authors because of times I've seen series randomly jump off a cliff straight into NTR hell. I really hope this doesn't go there.

I'd be more worried had the general tone of the manga been slightly less silly up to now. The author seems happy with keeping this pretty light ( with a layer of wholesome sex on top, obviously) .

I'm 90% sure that camera girl must've stalked them. Which I'm pretty sure is a crime. The justice person convicting someone as a criminal using evidence which they acquired via criminal means.

So right now, she'd probably fall within the realm of like a paparazzo. Stalking has a few requirements of threats to safety, so otherwise following people is technically legal unless they become aware and therefor fearful of your presence, or you ignore warnings from police.

So, she "stalked" her but likely does not meet the legal threshold for it to be actionable. The intimate photos though are a different matter. It'll depend on Japanese law but those photos I believe were ones taken at an apartment / hotel which generally carries an expectation of privacy so taking photos may implicate camera girl in trespassing if she had to get onto private property to do so. If the curtains were open and she could take the photos from public grounds she may still be legally clear (this is jurisdictional in the states, no clue about Japan).

TL;DR - Camera girl is in a morally grey area, but likely legally fine. Depends on Japanese law which I'm not familiar with and finding an English translation of the Japanese legal code would take a bit more work.

Not to defend her though, camera girl is being a weirdo, but she likley isn't a complete hypocite atm but again, no expert on Japanese crim/civ law.
