I'm in it for the art and the freakouts. That and how, at least for now, unlike most age-gap, the kid is behaving like a kid (saying random crap) and not a tiny seductive adult. That being said, I'm 34, I'd really like to think I could tell if someone was under their mid-20s (and thus be too young for me to be interested in them).

I thought the story was beautiful and gorey to read...as in I want another look and see what else can be translated from the symbolism but im gonna wait awhile because of the violent imagery....
At the end... I felt like the ripped apart thing was like a nightmare she experienced after the other girls death, and the other girl apologizing and stuff was because she had to put her through such a painful experience at such an early age(the experience of love and loss with no control) and she was also sorry that every day she was being ripped apart by seeing the flowers on the desk turning her daily life into a nightmare she cant escape
I dunno ill prob give it another week to read it but I dont want to get nightmares ^_^

The reversal made this worth the read....

With all the symbolism I really cant decipher this one...easily, but I think I got it ^_^

Was I the only one not certain what I was seeing in the very last panel? I think I re-read the last two pages a million times and couldn't figure it out... someone help me I'm apparently dumb...

They're kissing, next panel is dr's hands on dingyi's sides, pulling her shirt up a bit probably, the last page is also dingyi's side with her shirt riding up. I love how the author doesn't explicitly show them having sex, but its not exactly subtle either lol

Oh ok, yeah the last page basically thought that was a pillow and rustled sheets I was like "where'd they go?"
It looks very cool just that light shaft illuminating just enough, but seriously if this is from china its probably somewhat mandatory censorship as well...(looks like there are dents where nipples should be) but I dunno, its so early in the series and since the art style is unique(and wonderful) I cant be sure

So... I kinda read it like Satoko was basically right about Yuka not actually being in love with her, but rather than her wanting to be nice to a friend or doing it out of obligation or whatever, it's that Yuka wanted to feel loved? Or that she was moved by Satoko's feelings and wanted to hold on to them? That's not a terrible place to start a relationship, and it certainly doesn't seem like Yuka's against being with a girl, but I don't know if it's terribly reassuring for the kind of insecurities Satoko has. In that case, I can see her worrying about whether anyone else would do just as well if they also confessed to Yuka, or if Yuka might find someone she actively wants to be with instead of just passively appreciating Satoko's feelings.

But that seems a little incongruously pessimistic and uncertain for the seemingly bright and cozy tone at the ending, so I don't know if that's actually what the author was going for. Not sure what to make of it.

So I read more in between the lines...remember her big problem was that her best friend that she started to like knew her so well that she knew she liked her that way, so she notices when she acts strange, and then trys to re-assure her with the love umbrella...that doesn't work so she clumsily confessed by way of metaphor, and ahem an invitation to taste her since they're alone ^_^ (so lewd <3 )
And the clumsy scarf, and hand holding followed by a happy go lucky kiss at the end is a reflection of their intimacy after becoming true lovers(i mean they have been dating a month already)
But maybe im reading too much into it o.O heh ;)

Yuzumori is not that innocent, and this last chapter proves that! shes been lookin at Mimika like prey! ^_^
nah, I dunno but this last ch. proves it's mutual!
And why is their relationship so healthy ugh! Shes in love and so now she introduces her to her friends...nxt itll be meet the parents then living together! Hahaha

Yeah super sad story, but luckily so short it didnt really resonate(actually seemed super old-fashioned aside from what they're wearing...)

I don't think mahuajia's translation was the reason that ermuzibu stopped posting her works. She was posting M&D in very random intervarls and she stopped when she decided to make a book. Probably to keep something "unseen" content clearly for volume, not because of fan english translation. After all she has fans mostly in China - so argument "she stopped posting because of english translation" is not logical :P

Oh ok, well then! Thats definitely good then! Bet years from now someone will get a hold of scans ^_^
