I couldn't figure out why people were talking about "stains", so I took another look at that last panel.

...those are pot lights. The last panel, near as I can tell, is a heavily photoshopped photo of a real room, so the shadows of stuff like that are way darker, but the lighter parts washed completely out.

Honestly, I can't understand why there's such a big deal made here out of one person who thought one chapter (of a series they like) wasn't as significant as the others. But somehow it's become a thing unto itself, and the folks involved should probably take a step back and re-focus since it's getting a bit silly.

We all know its not a big deal. It was also not about how significant it was, but about being plain wrong. Whether you think its silly or whatever, I believe its normal to discuss these things.

Okay, first of all I'm not going to ban CozyCreature12, for the simple reason that they already left the conversation two days ago and didn't keep pushing it.

However, I will require them to stop posting in bi-related discussions from now on. If you've got a problem with bi people, that's your problem and you need to keep it to yourself. If you do post in those discussions, that will be grounds for a ban, just so they understand.

As to bisexual people in manga, it's a huge failing on the part of manga authors in general that they keep writing them so badly. Because of that, I can understand people not wanting to read stories with a bisexual tag because more often than not they're full of bi-phobic tropes, whether intentional or not. If anything, this particular story is an exception to the rule in that the bisexual character is actually a pretty decent person who's not unfaithful, predatory, or what have you. So calling it toxic because it contains bisexuality is ridiculous and so is anyone who says it is.

The classic tsundere starts out hostile and shows their sweet side over time. The modern tsundere switches back and forth between sweet and hostile. Reiko is neither of those things.

She playing hard to get, that's tsundere.

"Playing hard to get" is a trope onto itself. A tsundere doesn't play hard to get, they switch between the irritable and the sweet sides of their personality (modern), or they evolve from irritable to sweet (classic). (You can look this up on TVTropes.) Playing hard to get necessitates a plan or at least intent, while the tsundere has no conscious plan or intent behind the actions that make them tsundere. That said, a tsundere can technically play hard to get, but that just means playing both tropes at the same time.

Tsundere is their own term not western. And "playing hard to get" is something the tsunderes always do.

"Playing hard to get" is a much, much older thing than TV Tropes, or even the term "trope" being used in this sense. But it's a lot different from the typical tsundere since "playing hard to get" generally implies the person doing it wants to be got and this is a method of flirting, where almost every tsundere I've seen is doing it to cover up shyness or embarrassment (or in some cases social awkwardness) and isn't doing it as a deliberate prelude to being won over.

It's probably more the fact that we ride Rikka-nee's emotional train from blase to "my sister loves me?" to "my sister loves me!" to total heartbreak. If the entire narrative weren't married so closely to her emotional journey, you'd see different reactions(hopefully).

Given that her entire ride took place over the course of a few minutes the night before, it's hard to imagine she was really all that invested herself.
