Crossing over from an ongoing discussion in the "Her First Lingerie" comments, an interesting idea was raised by Cryssoberyl and i was wondering if that would be possible.

As it stands now, practically anything with a loli is tagged as "lolicon" even when there's no actual sexual or erotic nature to the content. This unfortunately leads to wholesome, fluffy content being lumped together with the more unsavory erotic "lolicon" content. For those on Dynasty who avoid the "lolicon" tag because of the stigma and the, to some (or many), questionable erotic content, it means that we miss out on being able to read content involving lolis that is just sweet, fluffy and innocent unless we want to subject ourselves to the mental torture of searching, one by one, through the lolicon tag for those innocent gems.

So, my question is:
Would it be possible to have a separate "loli" tag for only wholesome, innocent content that contains lolis but isnt lewd or erotic? If that's possible, it would be nice to decouple the two separate facets for the benefit of current and future readers.

... does-does this count as lolicon? The nee-chan doesn't seem to want to eat the loli. It can be seen as platonic, even. Maybe some years down the road, their relationship will change, but for now...

It's at times like these I wish "loli" would be decoupled from "lolicon" in the tags. There is a loli in this story, but for all that, it was really very wholesome. "Lolicon" implies a predatory aspect that is not actually present in numerous stories labeled with it.

Yeah, i totally agree. I was weary of the "lolicon" tag but this is far from lolicon. This was wholesome fluff of the highest order and i'd love to read more like this one. If wholesome fluff like this could be decoupled, more people might actually be willing to read them. Considering the stigma attached to lolicon, lumping them altogether is a disservice both to readers and the wholesome content that ends up ignored because of the mis-labelling

The only really good thing about this one was Midori and Sugiura in Ch2 and the extra chapter. Ch 1 with the youngest sister had a lot of potential which would have suited a series better than just the one-shot it was.

the conclusion (mostly) is hopeful as it feels to me like Matsuri is soo adorably embarrassed whenever she gets close to Koyuki now (her actions suggest to me that she's developed a fluffy and possibly lewd train of thought) however the absolute lack of communication seems to be giving Koyuki a potentially wrong idea. The non-conclusive ending is a bummer because of that.
It feels to me like they got half way or so through doing this story then decided (for whatever reason) not to properly finish it to a decent conclusion

I definitely get (and have always understood) the animus against bait-and-switch stories, although with serial publications it’s hard to always identify those before they’re over. The tagging problem also seems to be especially acute for stories (like this one) which are not primarily goal-oriented single-couple romances. And I too have been somewhat disappointed when stories ultimately lacked the courage of what once appeared to be their yuri-esque convictions.

But some definitions of “true yuri” get so restrictive that they seem to be counterproductive if the goal is to find good stories about girls/women who love same (and of course “definitely yuri” most certainly does not necessarily mean “good story.”)

As I said, since applying definitions of genres and sub-genres to specific examples will always be inherently ambiguous and to some extent subjective, I’m not sure there’s any way the strictest constructionists will ever be completely satisfied.

In any case, I’m glad I’m reading this one, however it’s tagged.

I gotta +1 this whole post for perfection. I've actually gotten more enjoyment out of some subtext series that were sooo blatant about yuri (and ran with it) than i have from a few series that are officially/definitely yuri but are hard to believe even under the loosest definition of yuri.

The only things yuri-related that ever bother me are actual bait-and-switch stories as well as stories that start out yuri and are touted as yuri yet take the cowardly cop-out route and veer away from any yuri later on in the story
