Pharah is a kid in the first one. Assuming that the second one is their current ages, that's like 20 years difference. Lots can happen in 20 years, especially when you hit that gym 7 days a week.

I really love this, I hope it updates more quickly. The fact that the girl reminds me of Hana Song (D.va) is definitely a plus. She's so cute.

I've never sat down and really considered what Yuu gets out of all of this, but, here's an idea that has popped into my head:

Yuu has felt so disconnected from everything because no one has really shown her the depth of their feelings. Yuu can't really be with someone who is shy about affection. She actually needs someone to be as obsessed and demanding as Touko. She's observant and she pays attention to details, but her emotional IQ is completely out the door. Trying to have an emotional affair with Yuu is like trying to teach calculus to the special ed kids. She can understand that someone is in love with her, but she can't understand what that means to her, not unless it is consistently flashed in her face with big bold bright red letters everyday, forcing her to think and dwell on it.

And I don't think just any ol' person would do. If Natsuki were to have tried that, for example, I don't think it would have had to same effect. But I'm bias. I'm a firm believer that Yuu really truly loves Touko because she's Touko.

Gah. The way Yuu finds herself realizing that she loves Touko just makes my heart wrench. Why do I have such bad feelings for the outcome of all this?

I don't know that they'd have enough in common to be a couple, but it certainly is a nice picture. ^^

As for being cliche, I don't think so. The 'princess' in this case turned out to be strong and independent, very able to stick up for herself in spite of those other girls. If anything this felt like two tomboys getting together which, if I must say, is just the tastiest thing. Love me some tomboys.

You know... speaking of Kotooka... I was rereading some things and I'm starting to have this feeling that she is not just purposely ignoring Washio's feelings because she doesn't want to get her hopes up, but that maybe it has something to do with why she went to this school, also. Her face after they ask her the question tips me off, but I'm also really getting the feeling that she has had a bad experience with someone like Washio.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very much a Kotooka/Tsukasa shipper, but I wouldn't be surprised if in fact Kotooka had a crush on a girl like Washio before and it turned out poorly, which is why she keeps her distance. I dunno, I just feel like her feelings for Tsukasa, her distance from Washio, and the reason she went to this school are all threaded together.

Washio knows about Kotooka. Kotooka knows about Washio. Washio knows about Kotooka knowing about Kotooka knowing about Washio.

I read a romance novel, a period piece set in the 70s (there's a bit at the end about Harvey Milk's assassination), not a good time to be out of the closet in North America. And yet, almost every single character was gay, including business owners, clients of one of the main characters in various cities (she did something real-estate related I think), everyone except the ex of one of the leads, who was doing the "I have to be straight and date guys" routine.

I can see the people you hang out with all being gay, but in a story that mostly didn't take place in the Casto or someplace similar (although the closing scenes did) during that period was a little eyebrow-raising.

Depends how many people you're talking about.

'Beloved' has like, what, 4 main characters so far? That's really not that far fetched.
