Well, I already mentioned earlier that I have been watching the anime one episode per day for some time now. I just finished watching episode 10, so can confirm: she did say "tsurui", and not just as a part of internal monologuing either.
(Huh, guess re-watching it one episode per day actually proved being useful for something more than just trying to get someone to put me on r/madlads for watching the sports day episode on my school's sports day.)

That's... when it started trully getting steam. I took my information from Zeria, who briefly mentioned this mangaka who made a yuri all the way back in 1919. That video in which she mentioned that was also the announcement of a series on the history of yuri, so, being both a yuri fan and a history buff, y'know I had to subscribe her just so I wouldn't miss that series (I forgot what's it called... something along the lines of "Yuri 101", or something? )

EDIT:
I'm currently just browsing through the 9 tabs of Dynasty Reader I have open at all times, so I'll find the video and link it here as soon as I'm done with that.

That's as far from logic as you are from the moon.

I'd like to report a murder. xD

... I liked the 1st chapter better...
This one was just...
I don't even know how do describe it...
Sadder?
All in all, it seems like the old flame won't get rekindled anytime soon... Bummer.

The two people who took yuri-shipper characters from yuri works as profile pics are both here? What is this, a crossover episode?

WTF? The yuri genre's 100th birthday was a week ago (on the 26th April), and no one informed us?! Boo! Now we're all to late to wish a happy birthday now. sigh

In any case, I made that comment before catching up with all the posts made in the last 6 or so hours. Now I am cought up.

First off, when it comes to the (to me, at least) less important of the two ongoing conversations in this thread, the one about a hypothetical sex scene:

I’m not saying I don’t want lust in the manga or that’s it doesn’t have a place necessarily. What I’m saying is when there’s a cute moment like what happened in this chapter, some dummy wants to be like “OOH THEY GONNA FUCK NOW” and while sex scenes are welcomed and even appreciated from time to time, I hate people acting like horny teenagers over these fictional characters that I value dearly. If sex is to happen in this manga, I want it to be a good ass setting and not seem like it would be horribly out of place.

.

Well, Touko's and Yuu's lust for each other has been shown before, especially in chapters 16 & 20. It's not like they are asexual. Whether the last volume will actually feature a sex scene or not, no one can really tell. Nakatani has said more than once that she enjoys drawing lewd, but whether she actually wants to draw it in her story and whether her editor will allow it, that's a whole different story. This manga doesn't need sex anyways, but after seeing Miyako and Riko cuddling in bed together, I wanna see something like with Touko and Yuu too (it happened in ch 22, but now as couple)

Both of these quoted bits are things I could get back behind.

As for the more important, but also longer conversation (that I'm, unfortunately, too lazy to quote), the one about if/when and how will the MCs' families accept their relationship, I must say that the likes of @BugDevil, @Blastaar and @heavensrun have a lot of good points added since I've last checked the conversation (and very briefly participated in, with only a little to add). This is certainly not the first time others in this thread have influenced my opinion of the situation with their posts. Basically, even though the way I think this will play out in the Koito family may be similar how to Rei predicted, and though I think that the Nanami family will be accepting of it, I have come around that it is uncertain and that things may play in an unexpected way. About how someone (I forgot who) here mentioned how people are homophobic unless it's their children, or how others are supportive of the LGBTQ+ movement unless it's their children actually kinda reminded me of (I think) the only Odds1Out video I watched, where he had this adult friend and they always said "there's nothing wrong with being gay", until that adult disowned his son for said son being gay. So, if that kinda thing happens here, it'd be really crappy.

Still, it goes without saying that I'm rather curious where this goes now.

I have been re-watching the anime adaptation, one episode per day, for over a week now. Today, I watched episode 9, which y'all may remember as the sports day episode. Today, it was sports day at my school. When I decided to rewatch YagaKimi, I carefully calculated that in advance so I could watch the sports day episode on sports day. Am I a madlad, or what?

^ Following that line, you don't need to be at a field of battle do describe how the battle went. I used this example exactly because I'm a history buff.

^ Some people just like to start a fire, and peacefully sit there, watching the World burn.
I swear, if the author goes dow that route, it'd be Macedonia from VoidViper's "Alternate Future of Isolated Europe" all over again.

^ Oh, c'mon, Chaussette! I was enjoying all the long comments that were elaborating on past events to give us a picture of what might happen next and was about to add another thing to it, and now you ruined my mood!

EDIT:
ahem Anyway...
I remember some posts talking about the reactions within Yuu's family, and it all comes back to that chapter that focused on Yuu and Rei. As others mentioned earlier, Rei is obviously supportive, and she thinks dad would go along it as well, while mom will be the biggest obstacle. However, if I remember correctly, Rei also thought that grandma would go with whatever mom goes with, so the "opposition" in the Koito family probably won't be just one-person-strong.

Wait... Did they fuck??

Get the fuck out, dude. There’s more to romance stories than just fucking.

The truth has been spoken!
Seriously though, what's with people on this site and their fixation on sex in innocent romance manga or polyamorous ships that don't even make any sense.

Beats me. Can anyone who has such fixations explain it to us, please?

Sorry for being 2 or 3 day late to the game, lol.
OK, so, I personally don't think this is how it's gonna end, but it's too crazy and wishful of a hypothesis NOT to share.
So:
What if, in the end, they show that all that happened was just Yuu and Touko, already deep into their adulthood and living together (married even), reminiscing about their high school days. And, just as their reminiscence ends, their (now teenage) science baby daughter returns from prom with her girlfriend (who actually turns out to be the science baby of Sayaka and whatever girl she eventually got in the end). Even though YagaKimi is much more complex and much longer than Lajanje na Zvezde, and even though Lajanje na Zvezde is much more comedic, this would make the endings of both be very similar (well, there's the fact that YagaKimi is Japanese and yuri, while Lajanje na Zvezde is Yugoslav and het, but that's beside the point here).
Off-topic note in the spoiler bars below:
Speaking of Lajanje na Zvezde (literally: "Barking at the Stars"): it's, like, the best movie ever produced either by Yugoslavia or any of the countries that have emerged from its break-up. If there's an ENG SUB version of it on the Internet, you need to watch it.

The characters in this forum and the discussions could themselves be a manga lol

Can't say I disagree.

BV is like comic relief without meaning to.

Oh (or should it be spelled "aw"?), thank you!

^ if you're scared of what might happen next in this manga, then you clearly haven't watched Wonderwaffle's "Alternate Future of Canada - Remastered: The Movie". Once you watch it, its main villain (and possibly main character), Talinight, is gonna be the only thing that makes you scared.

EDIT:
I phrased it incorrectly, sorry. I'm gonna tell you from personal experience. Talinight is gonna scare so much shit out of you (not literally, but you get the point), that getting scared from something else would barely even count as being scared, in comparison to the scare you get from Talinight. shivers I'm getting chills down my spine just thinking about him. I can see his flag, his ugly, drugged, evil, purple eyes, his insanity and the consequences of it, inside my head right now! screams

Now, kinda tangental, since it has nothing to do with this chapter, but still on-topic, because it is about YagaKimi:
I remember some people making predictions how is YagaKimi gonna end. Well, yesterday, just before going to sleep, I developed a crazy prediction of my own. I know for sure it's an incorrect prediction, but I still wanted to share it. However, because of the hype surrounding chapter 40, I'ma wait until this time tomorrow to actually post the prediction here. I hope y'all don't mind for me doing it, to put it mildly, fashionably late.

Do all these new comments mean a new chapter?

Yep, it does.

AND, OH MY GOSH, I LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT, AFTER I FINISHED READING IT, I HAD (for the lack of a better term) FANGIRLING MOMENT (despite being a boy), AND DURING IT, I WAS SHACKING MY HEAD SIDE-TO-SIDE SO HARD, THAT MY NECK STILL HURTS.

Also:

Perhaps love is like a resting place
A shelter from the storm, it exists to give you comfort
It is there to keep you warm, and in those times of trouble
When you are most alone, the memory of love will bring you home

Perhaps love is like a window
Perhaps an open door, it invites you to come close
It wants to show you more, and even if you lose yourself
And don't know what to do the memory of love will see you through

Oh, love to some is like a cloud
To some as strong as steel, for some a way of living
For some a way to feel, and some say love is holding on
Some say letting go, some say love is everything
And some say they don't know

Perhaps love is like the ocean full of conflict, full of pain
Like a fire when its cold outside, or thunder when it rains
If I should live forever and all my dreams come true
My memories of love will be of you

And some say love is holding on
Some say letting go, and some say love is everything
And some say they don't know

Perhaps love is like the ocean full of conflict, full of pain
Like a fire when it's cold outside or thunder when it rains
If I should live forever and all my dreams come true

I liked this poem so much, that I was very disappointed with myself for not shedding at least a single tear.

Ah, yes. That other series with an uber-gay MC.
It truly is a competition between Arisa from "Bright and Cheery Amnesia" and Sakurako from "A Room for Two" on who is the gayest.

Where's the comedy tag? This fan-made comic is too funny to not have it.
