Oh man, Kyoko in this... that face. It got me- BANG- right in the feels! And Mami's smile in the last panel is just amazing, it just lights up everything!

My mom is a wildlife biologist, so I grew up with birds (mostly Blue Jays and Canaries, plus Starlings, Cedar Waxwings, a Cuckoo, and others)... And female bird's estrus is laying unfertilized eggs. So the "egg" metaphor likely was intentional on the part of the artist/writer.

When I first stumbled upon this pairing, I though "oh Homura is CLEARLY the assertive one."

Perhaps Homura did too... But over time, I've learned what I fool I was making such a short-sighed assessment of the much deeper and complex dynamics of HomuMadoism.

I feel suitably humbled, but overall, a better person for it.

I just re-read the confession scene and some updates before and after it, but I always thought that what Qiu Tong said implied that she had someone else she likes and Sun Jing would just be the third wheel and that that was another reason she couldn't accept Sun Jing's confession. While re-reading I could find no trace of that (just that QT said she had someone she likes a couple of updates earlier and when QT asked her who it was, didn't say anything) and now I have no idea why I even thought that. Did the translation get updated or does my memory simply fail me?

I'm getting that vibe too with this... like, "did i read something different?" kinda thing.

One of the things I noticed while re-reading this was the (very) subtle smile on the mother's face while the three of them are having dinner. It makes me think that she's grown to care (to some degree) about Sunako over time.
