These "famous student/etc fawning" scenes ... I like that, but they are so out of this world. Probably the most unrealistic aspect of any manga; even ones that include onis ^^;

Could be interesting, but kinda unclear where it's going from here. What's the hurdle? "No, I can't accept that it's a woman!" and then we drag it out for 12 chapters? Or is it going to go all fluff? Immediately moving together in ch.2? Hum.

H arc will never be over. There's just going to be some filler content between more meat ...

Ichika deciding not to go for it seems rather like an invitation to for her to get murdered so there's a reason why it has to be done ^^;

Looks nice and should be a nice setup, but just feels kinda meh to me. Like the food thing, how there's no subtlety, just a chapter of "bash the reader over the head with it". Also, dunno about their relationship; you'd think it's about the ghost winning over the exorcist but, again, doesn't look to be anything to it ...

According to the vertical thing, I think she believes Sugimoto will get hurt.

She basically says that before, though. What with the whole "adults are magically different and will leave the moment it gets serious, for some incomprehensible reason" speech ...

... if things keep going the way they are? What? They'll achieve peak yuri-ness? There'll be inevitable domestic violence? ^^

Haa. Right, sure, okay.

Don't think that was it but exact same joke, yes.

Sena

I seem to vaguely remember a manga that did a joke(?), with one of them saying "no" and the other than actually stopping. Thought it was pretty notable, but I can't at the moment remember which one it was.

I kinda want some twist to the evil-mascot-not-twist. Like, they are doing what they are doing for very good and understandable reasons (even if their methods might be a bit questionable), and it turns out that sabotaging them is worse for everyone concerned ...
... or something ^^;

Nothing sours a chapter quite like casually dropping structural sexism into it ^^

The entire dialogue is basically just the usual Japanese hentai lines sprinkled with a few bits of Tadokoro-context-appropriate fragments ...
... I mean, I always thought that Japanese was weirdly married to precise phrases that people use over and over again, not even with a little bit of variation, but with sex scenes it's particularly obvious.

Does make me wonder how close to reality that is, but then, I don't think I really want to know.

On the other hand, he is there at Himawari-san's invitation--he didn't manipulate his way into coming along, either.

The flow of the scene implies to me that she didn't actually invite him. Her "are you coming with us?" was just a normal question, as she says, and he pretends it was an implied invitation (due to her being uncomfortable with flying). An interpretation she clearly denies.

Obv realistically either of them easily could have said "stay here", it's not like in real life you'll just miss a person being there. ^^ Just saying. Not liking the guy.

He tagged along because her sister ask him.He don't really enjoy being with his sensei in the first place.

That's not how I read his protests at all ^^

There's something about the brother that I really don't like. Even in this chapter, the way he's just tagging along - presumably with ulterior motivations ... bleh.

also just really feels like a conversation

Just all the scenes are really great at this. Typically in stories there's a certain toke-ism towards this; like maybe they are at a restaurant and you get the tail of somebody ordering and maybe then at a narratively critical point the waiter comes to interrupt. Here it's just "we're talking about this topic but we're also discussing what we're about to order and maybe the other people are simultaneously talking also about this but also having their own separate conversation and then ..."

And, sure, it's not the sort of thing where everything is immediately obvious. But I wouldn't say it's ever confusing what's going on or anything like that. It's just made to feel real.

Another outstanding chapter. Well, not outstanding for this manga, given that they essentially are all that good, but outstanding in the wider world of manga.

That parallel storytelling and following along some motif through a chapter ... it's just so good. Sooo gooooood. Every damn time ...
... I'm going to be depressed for a month when this manga ends.

I wouldn't even pick up a random number; it's some Microsoft support guy anyway ...

Either way kinda odd take story-wise to have this pivot to the other mom for advice and then the advice to be "do what she says anyway" ^^;

Basically a post-scarcity scenario. Can't help but feel it'll all come crashing down since we aren't allowed to have nice things, but who knows, maybe for once ... ? Naw.

So she's slowly going back, basically ... that's actually quite neat.

But the Google part is nonsense of course; you don't google "I'm a time travel what the heck is going on with my dreams" ^^;;;

Kinda feels like the two "ending" chapters could have more or less been glued on at any point. Didn't feel properly build up or anything. And, yeah, wasn't the type of series that needed everything 100% resolved, life goes on, yaddayadda, but kinda dull way to finish nonetheless.

But it was a fine read otherwise. Really relaxing, appropriately mature, never too boring, nice art too. Would overall recommend.

Well, guess you guys love that. I stopped reading this one like 60 episodes ago...patience does pay off for youall, good for you.

It's a Japanese romance manga. Nobody sane waits for actual sex to happen. They waffle about in chastity forever, usually. That it actually goes there is just a nice surprise on top of a very entertaining story either way.

Nice either way. I kinda get the suspicion that if she'd re-did the series it'd be a 404-men-not-found one, to be honest ...

Also, so typical of this series ... "remembers mahjong training camp" -> "bath nudity scene". Of course, THAT's what you'd remember of your training camp while reminiscing about your mahjong team forming journey. And it doesn't even have the usual obscuring fog or light beams anymore, just the BAREST censorship. ^^;
