what you said is interesting, but also the dynamics itself went like that for at least 17 years between the two. When Sumin had the case of ch45.. she got beaten up and stuff.. first person she went to was Seju, she just threw herself in Seju's arms drunk and drained.. even slept 3 days at Seju's house while being well taken care of. It is the case as well for Seju, when the assault happened, ch77: "sorry, but Sumin is the only person I've got". ch50, the dream sequence, explained to you WHY would Sumin appear every time Seju comes back from the main house, it is not out of sense of duty or that she is afraid that Seju would kill herself, but because Sumin is IN LOVE WITH HER.. it was a mere excuse for her, Seju can't force her to, in a matter of fact.. Sumin appeared by her free will in ch19, even Seju was surprised. Saehyun in ch76 mentioned to Sumin that it is not about bodyguards but Seju NEEDS her.. emotional support mostly. Can Seju live without Sumin? well, yes.. months would go by without them meeting whenever Sumin was dating someone.. but what Seju can't live without is her hope that Sumin would comeback.

A) pretty much, YES.. Sumin who dated on average a new girl every 4 months in the past 10 years, went furious by the mere idea that Seju would be bedding someone else or even marrying someone. Look at her reaction in ch74 (losing her cool) and her insistence on buying the house which will be forever a house that Seju once bought for her.. and look at Sumin's house arrangement that replicates Seju's houses in ch71 and in ch8,10. From above point, ch50.. it was Sumin who texted Seju first hand.. then Seju answered, while Sumin was dating someone else, she simply chose to break it off at the same day and go to Seju instead, even when Seju didn't really expect Sumin to do it.
Bottom Line
They both can live without each other, but they themselves would deliberately leave a tie or two to get them back together, maybe an excuse or a mere hope. But they always have it like that. This point is interesting, because now Seju would go to her mother's cottage which Sumin is most likely unaware of its location.. would that play a role in this context? I wonder

yoonie I agree that seju can use some acknowledgement and motivation, and sumin is the best one for this. You also should understand that there is a chance that sumin does not want to do it for reasons... What would you do if you need help from someone, but that person does not want to help you?
okay, it is becoming a habit of me to jump into questions directed to yoonie, but how do you know that Sumin doesn't want to do that?.. she at least admitted being sorry for the fact that she is unable to take responsibility (of whatever mistake she means and blames herself for).. then she does remind Seju of her worth and that she is different from her brothers. Sumin as usual, is torn between what she wants to do heart and mind.

That's true but are you sure it was the first time Sumin came back, or there were a few times prior to that, that's why she knew key lock? After all, I dont think Seju has lived in that house for 10 years without moving
Seju had two houses during the time she and Sumin slept together before their break up.. ch71's house is different from ch8,10, 26 and 27. Then she had another house in ch45 (way after their breakup) and then this house. so no, she lived in other houses through the last 10 years.
is it the first time that Sumin comes back, ch27?
I say yes, the significance of the moment is what lead team Gaji to illustrate it. If there was another such a dramatic moment like Sumin's first coming back to Seju's bed, I guess TG would have made it in that exact chapter.

as for the scenes, the one in ch74.. the transition in that talk alone is self explanatory to how their relationship went for the last 10 years:
a welcoming Seju, tucking her hair behind her ears.. a cold hard headed Sumin.. defensive Seju.. then both of them break in which Sumin barely held her tears. It was a very strong scene.
The other one in ch27 "you came..", is also one of the strongest.. in her deep despair, she still didn't change the locks.. she was expecting Sumin because deep inside she knew that she will comeback.. and when she did, Seju opened her arms for her, held her tight towards herself.. no admonition no anger.. just them colliding together in the now.
And they always spent snowfall together since young. Snow is their special thing in relationship, I believe, so choosing the snow, under the snow to say all that, this is more than any of their break up talk before xDDDD even though there is no tears, no yelling or bitter words from Seju, its just much sadder
awwwww .. I always thought as well that the snow means something for them.. and it was always Seju who waits for Sumin in their teenage years.. flashback of ch2 and in front of the academy ch47.. Seju always waited for her.. even when they got older. So for Sumin to tell her not to wait for her anymore.. can and it does hold two meanings at least.

well, it is a combination of both. Sumin as well has low self worth that could be traced to her inferiority complex and PTSD.. this is clearly shown in her inner thought about whether or not she deserves to be loved or deserves Sungji and her other ex's.

At points I truly thought that the story could end either sides depending solely on Team Gaji's philosophy and the message that they want to illustrate.. and both are dreamy and ideal:
Seju - Sumin: represent eternal love, fate (we saw this theme alot with this couple), accurate devotion will someday reunite you with the one you are fated to.. no matter how long it takes as long as you believe in the other person.
Sungji - Sumin: represent love from the first sight, love is blind (as Sungji mentioned ch51), energy.. acceptance (loving someone wholeheartedly while accepting their baggage).. loving again is possible.. giving second chances instead of giving up on someone you love.
Yes, I do believe it will end with SuminXSeju because of how the story went so far (scattered evidences).. but if it does shock me and ends with SungjiX Sumin.. I won't hate or feel disappointed, because there is a beauty behind either endings which I do respect a lot.

It is innocent proven guilty, not the other way around. I find it unfair to accuse Nami of negatively influencing Sungji when we did not even get to see the conversation. For all I can tell, Nami did not say anything in ch58, neither did the conversation hinted that she revealed anything prior to the ch55 incident. It was mostly Seju's talk in ch.27/55 flashback that painted the evil sugar mama image in Sungji's head.
Nammi might not think she is wrong or had misunderstood things when she handed them to Sungji.. I understood that Sungji and Nammi talked at least once without us seeing the conversation (behind the panels XD) . In ch58, Nammi only reason to hold back is to not tip the balance of an indecisive Sungji (did she restrain herself before ? doubtful). As in ch27/55 flashback, I agree that Seju did participate in that.. but I also can't think of Nammi not interfering given how she thinks of Seju and the fact that she hangs around Sungji a lot talking about Sumin.
I understand why you won't be convinced.. but true, there is no exact panel that shows it once and for all. The fact that you agree that Sungji has misconceptions about SuminXSeju is the most important part.. how she got them, it doesn't matter much.

I don't hate Nammi, just won't have her as a friend because I can't trust her around my "harem" hehehe. Just like the conversation we didn't see between Nammi and Sungji when they discussed Sumin's athleticism in high school. there could be much other conversations and questions from Sungji who seemed curious about the nature of Sumin's and Seju's relationship (btw, Sumin only admitted that in ch56 after getting caught.. Nammi and her coworkers told her that much earlier in the first arc)
there is a specific panel in ch46 in which Sungji asks Sumin a very sharp question.. if she could ask about anything.. and Sumin was in shock (you know why).. till Sungji said that she would ask Nammi instead hahahah

I think what happened was there was no planned meeting with Seju in either case. Sumin would not leave Seju hanging if she had agreed to meet. I believe Sumin has this much courtesy... So, Sumin did not mind if Choi stay over or leave, but the moment she saw Seju's car, she took Choi in to provoke Seju. The rest followed what you said, Seju remembered seeing Choi and her fiance in an event etc. Now, would she stay still and watch Choi deceiving Sumin? I would have agreed with you that the whole thing is only to illustrate Sumin always engaged in doomed relationships if Gaji did not follow up with Nami's talk in ch47.
The only reason I always thought that Sumin expected Seju in both cases is her gentle "polite" hesitation in letting the girlfriend in, but she does let them in instead to show her priorities to Seju maybe. But I know that Sumin did expect Seju in ch45 as she politely sent a message to Ms. Choi slightly before seeing Seju's car, and in ch44.. even before Seju arrived.
Nami referenced alcohol and mistake when she talked to Seju in the hotel, so she knew a little bit, but sure, we don't know her source of information and its accuracy. It is reasonable to take it with a grain of salt.
Nammi might have known about the breakup reason from Sumin but not really about why the scarring happened (which I think Nammi made a guess about). Even Seju doesn't know why the scarring happened as in ch27.

This is more a provocation to Sumin. I don't think she meant it. It would contradict with her talk of seju always clinging to and waiting for Sumin.

What did Nami say to Sungji to affect her judgement btw? I heard this mentioned a few times in the forum, but for all I can remember, Nami asked about Seju's whereabout and Sungji's phone number. She said she knew about Sumin and Seju who was a super rich girl, back in high school, and she did not want to say more to tip the balance. I am not sure how that little info (fact btw) would affect Sungji.
I mentioned ch46.. I expected you to check it.. but here is the snapshot that shows clearly that Sungji and Nammi had further conversations that we didn't see.

I find this case unique because Gaji used 3 chapters to set up an "obvious" scenario in which Seju had something to do with Sumin and Choi's relationship, yet slipped in little clues, the things you mentioned above, to hint that she wasn't involved... almost like they deliberately tainted her character... for the cheating in 55. People who believe Seju ratted Sumin and Choi (me) most likely believe Seju planned the getting caught in 55 (me, too).
That's why I want Gaji to clarify that, so I can have peace of mind.
here is the thing, this work was in text form then was illustrated as a manhwa.. so taking it a chapter by a chapter doesn't help. There were other cases of scattering evidence, take the assassin case for example, she appeared only in the last panel of ch66, ch74, ch75 but only striked in ch 76.. you may think that ch71 Seju's talk to her brothers is the motive behind sending her the assassin.. but the timeline is never consistent with this assumption. In many other cases we can misjudge the situation because of the scattered evidences. But to be just, part of it was deliberate so you get to know why a certain character thought of it in a certain way (because you yourself misjudged it by omitting a minor "vital" detail).
as for ch55, logically.. Seju would never had guessed what Sumin was about to say or expect Sumin to react that way.. ch55 scene is a whole special case.. it was not just to provoke Sungji, but to prove something for herself and for Sumin.. please remind me to discuss this chapter with you if you are interested (after I wake up XD)

whether it was the CEO, aka: Seju, the one who called or not.. this doesn't change a thing. I knew about the plan before paying a second to check Sumin's call log XD

The report of Sumin goes directly to the CEO, chap. 74.

For the first theory, what really made me think was rereading chapter 14.... the interaction between Seju and Sungji.
not only this, but look at how Seju dealt with the scarring in ch27, her talk about how it is a matter of time before Sumin gets bored (which usually results in her datin a WRONG person) in ch4, and again why did she agree on meeting the blind dates dudes sent by her brothers (whom btw, knew about Sumin and Seju relationship nature as her first guy in ch30 hinted) The family doesn't take that well as how they reacted in ch49 phone call.. Seju accepted the meeting as to show that she is not dating Sumin anymore and willing to play along. The only thing she cared about when the assassin attacked her was Sumin.
so yes.. it is all for Sumin's safety and happiness (whom Seju back then thought they were only fuckbuddies as Sumin domenestrated in ch50, ch3,ch4).. it all changed by Sumin's confession.

What trouble me are
1. Why did gaji show us the two encounters of seju and Choi? This is what makes readers (me at least) suspicious.
it follows the line that Sumin always been a relationship with no future.
and at that moment, in the car Seju realised it (by remembering Ms. Choi in that party).
Sumin is a poor judge of characters, this is why Sungji was selected carefully.
It doesn't tell at all that Seju followed her or stalked her, but remember Seju is a chaebol and it seems that the fiancè and Ms. Choi (a CEO) are very rich as well.. they would meet by chance in a social event one day or another.
- How did nami come to her conclusion? It was a serious accusation, I don't think she would blunt that out without any base.
Nammi's relationship with Sumin is not clearly explained, I am guessing that Nammi's father, a surgeon, who knows Sumin ch38.. was there when the scarring happened. Sumin won't discuss it or talk about her scar and why it happened to Seju ch27.. do you think Nammi discussed it with Sumin or assumed that Seju was behind it ?
in ch35, Nammi thought that Seju is dating because she is lonely.. Sumin knows why Seju is doing it, AND corrected the misconception.. this was to show you that Nammi's assumptions are coming from her viewpoint only which is not very inclusive
- More important, why did gaji have nami echo the suspicion?
to build up a very important fact, Nammi's viewpoints AFFECT Sungji's judgements. Nammi talks to Sungji about Summin as in ch46.
This is why Sungji thinks that Seju gets violently drunk (ch55 and ch84) and a bad person (ch79)
If what you said was true, then gaji had set up a giant trap for their readers. So fucking mean....
It is what does the FOX say.. sometimes we saw a statement that had at least two meanings.. sometimes we had cases of "omitting minor details" that change the WHOLE perspective as what Nammi established in ch49.
This was going on and on with the Manhwa and this case is not a unique one.

As of now, it is still hard for me to believe these two theories
- Seju chose sungji for sumin to leave sumin in good hands before she peaced out.
- Seju did not out sumin and Choi's relationship.
I hope gaji honestly answer them when the manhwa ends.
those points were actually put in a nice manner .. but I understand the confusion:
if you allow me, I would like to explain the second point:
ch45 came out before ch47;
ch45: Seju narrates the Ms. Choi's case (motivated by a repeated scene she saw in ch44.. I will explain this)
ch47: we have got Nammi's viewpoint and her assumption that Seju ratted them out.
Let's follow this:
ch44, Seju was supposed to meet Sumin at the later's house.. the meeting was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Sungji.. in which Sumin hesitates to allow the GF in, but she does indeed. THEN we get ch45 which is a very similar case of ch44's.
ch45: Seju is waiting outside of Sumin's house in her car, Sumin SAW Seju's car clearly and wanted to politely tell Ms. Choi to go home, the later looked at her in a cute way in which Sumin did the exact scenario of ch44. cool ?.. in the car Seju remembered that she has seen Ms. Choi before and has seen her fiancè, her smirk meant that she knows that this relationship was doomed to fail. (Seju remembered the whole party thing in the car).
Q1) Then who ratted them out?
A1) let's take a look at how Gaji illustrated Sumin's part of the story about the scandal:
ch22, the very opening of it.. Sumin has a flashback about having sex with Ms. Choi in the office coffee room then as she gets back to the present time, she freaks out at Sungji and tells her: "we can't. this is too dangerous" (this reaction is a result of a past experience of office sex with Ms. Choi)

Bottom Line
Sumin knows the truth given her reaction in ch22, and the scenario is similar to that of the Ms. Choi's case. Seju did not rat her out. Someone or/and gossips reached the fiancè, same as Glasses ssi's case.
Q2) Why didn't Seju deny or defend herself against Nammi's claim?
A2) Seju doesn't care about what Nammi thinks of her let alone trying to explain herself to Nammi !! take a look at how she responded to Nammi's insults and claims about her "playing while Sumin is dating" in ch31.. Seju ignores Nammi totally. Only Nammi blamed Seju for this and no one else.. another misconception that Nammi had about Seju that Sumin corrected was in ch35.. Nammi doesn't know much about Seju btw.
Bottom Line
The scenario and evidences that Seju didn't rat Ms. Choi are explained by flashbacks and a current case between Sumin and Sungji ch22 + ch34
we only have Nammi's word in the claim that suggests that Seju did it, it is proven that Nammi's assumptions are never faced by Seju's justifications nor that Nammi has the absolute truth about anything.

there are actually five shots that I loved the most: once in ch71, when she was talking to Saehyun and another when she just cut her hair in ch56 (Now I know).. and maybe when she held Sumin's in ch27 (you came..), ch10 when she was laying down playing with her hair.. lastly in ch84, holding her drink..

If you noticed, somebody called Sumin at home. She was on a day off because she just came from an overseas business trip. Do you know who was on the other line? Seju, the only one who calls her Sumin aside from Ms. Choi. :)
there is nothing that says that Sumin's was overseas, but what bothers me is the assumption that it was Seju who called her.. I mean, the whole page doesn't go like that. If it was Seju who called, Sumin has Seju's number saved (ch5).. not like Sumin would need to say: "Sung Sumin from Hello Studio speaking". Seju was not the one who called, but another colleague.
If you noticed, when Sungji replied that it was the President who toured her, Sumin replied that Seju has a lot of time and went on that if it wasn't for her, there will be a swimming pool. just too much benefits for the employees. they"re friends.

yes, the timeline is helpful in understanding that these stuff happened too fast in the character's point of view..
- Sumin and Sungji were dating only for 3 months and 10 days when Sungji caught her cheating with Seju.
- Sungji exposure to sexual interaction happened in only 1 month.. from a couple of days before Saehyun arrival to now. (and it all started because of Seju's warning to her in ch27 flashback of ch55)
- Seju stayed with Sumin for around 9 to 10 days only.. imagine that !! from ("sell me the house now".. to "this mitten I knitted for you" to again "I can't, Seju-ah) all in 10 days.
The whole Manhwa starts in April, Sumin and Sungji dated in 5th of July.. and now we are in mid-November)

The more the story goes, the more Seju's character becomes likeable, I must say.
her character is greatly misunderstood.. her words have multiple meanings.. not necessarily bad.. but her design was for you to look deeper into her instead of immediately empathising, because if you did, then you may not understand Sumin's side or Sungji's point of view about Seju. (in which they both misunderstood Seju as well in many occasions just in this arc alone)
Except for her blinded love for Sumin that many readers keep saying she should move on, us readers wouldnt have anything else to complain about this character, really.
her blind love have a reason behind it.. she wanted to let go (hence, employing Sungji and pushing the pair together) , but her plan changed when last month (Manhwa's time) Sumin confessed loving her.
the second comment about the introvert Seju, is on point.
