A) Suwako almost certainly knows about it already.

B) She loves Sanae, too, and wants to see her happy.

C) She doesn't strike me as the type who would demand all of Kanako's affection. I mean, they're gods, they live for centuries. Their idea of love is probably something far more fundamental than monogamy.

Come to think of it, we don't see Sanae X Suwako very often, do we? Anyway, this piece was a little anticlimactic, but then again, isn't that just life? What it loses in drama, it gains in realism, and there's something to be said for that.

Eh, I feel like good yuri kind of has to be consensual, if only because yuri works best in a fluffy, adorable, 'purest form of love' presentation. I'm not saying it has to be that way, there are plenty of more serious and realistic directions to take, but this one does neither. It isn't realistic OR sweet. It has bad character interaction with no redemption, drama without consequence. The end result just seems... well, crappy.

Now, look, I know it's just hentai, but if it's all the same, why not just give it a happier ending to fit the mood, or subvert it fully for emotional impact? Is there a reason not to?

I agree that the karaoke chapter really puts Kai in a better light. After all, she thinks that Bochii might even hate her soon, so I could see where she'd be afraid to patch things up even if she changed her mind.

Besides, it's actually a very mature move. I've had one person so socially and financially dependant on me that I eventually snapped at her and almost ruined the friendship. It was only after I exploded that she got her act together. These dynamics can turn toxic if you let them.

It bothers me to no end that the KonoSet pairing never got more attention. It was my introduction to yuri, and still one of the better yuri pairings IMO. Their implied marriage was practically the only good thing about how Negima ended.
