I suspect there's something wrong with the translation. Well, either that, or there's some kind of joke that I don't get at all.

I was under the impression that Blonde Classmate had realized that Mako says "normal" to mean "love" (in the scene where she gets a lightbulb over her head) and thus asked Mako about her "normal" for Sayaka to actually make her talk about love.

However, the question is "What parts of Sayaka are not normal?" (meaning: what parts you don't love) and the answer is "Her breasts, because they are so firm and soft." This doesn't make sense. Even less so if you consider Blondie's obvious shock and Sayaka's embarrassed reaction.

If the question was "What parts of Sayaka do you find the most normal?" (meaning: you love the most) everything would be much clearer.

It may be a bit confusing, but that's really how it is in the original.

A possible interpretation is that Shiki (the blonde, her name is mentioned in another one-shot) quickly realized that Mako would say "normal" as a denial, so she instead asked "What's not normal?" as in "What are you willing to admit that you like?".

(Or you can just think that what Mako meant is that Sayaka's boobs aren't normal, they are big).

She could have at least grabbed Sayaka's left hand. I went to an actual palm reader, and a left hand get read for women, whole a right gets read for men.

Palm reading is made up nonsense though. There are no rules.

But this chapter just proved that Palm reading is very useful.

For April Fools releases, how about moving them to a special magazine issue/series listing/whatever after the April Fools day has passed? This way, we could avoid the confusion of having joke releases (like this one https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/friendship ) being listed in an isssue/anthology/series page (in this case, https://dynasty-scans.com/issues/galette_vol_2 ).

I figured something was weird right on the cover, since the title in japanese didn't match the translation. Hope you will post the real version later.

Is there a better translation to "Just normal"? Because it doesn't sound right at all.

She says ふつう (Futsuu), which is literally "Normal". The thing is that she says it so often and in so many ways that there's no way to keep it consistent without sounding awkward sometimes (though it does sound awkward even in japanese in some cases).

The thing is that in japanese, Normal and Like are more exchangeable than in other languages because neither is a verb. 好き (suki) is often translated as "to like" or "to love", but it's actually a noun/adjective (just like Normal).

(I know that's not what's happening but it's how i see it)

I dunno if "just normal" is a good translation, then. I usually see "betsu ni" translated in anime subtitles as "nothing in particular" or "nothing much" or "not really" or "nothing special" or sometimes "it doesn't make a difference" or "it doesn't matter".

She says 普通 (Futsuu), which translates literally to "Normal". The first time she says it is as a reply to "You like me a lot", so it's more like "Not a lot, just normal".

Okay look Chikariko is great, but that last panel is pure gold. I love the idea of youyoshi hanging out, playing games and being silly together. Great ship.

I also like the You-Yoshiko pairing. It feels that You is the one who can better deal with Yoshiko's chuuni tendencies, and the only one that manages to make Yoshiko act as the Tsukkomi.

... Was the dude thing in the original doujin already or was that a translation quirk?

Possibly it was a bad way to translate the "-su" that Momo adds to the ends of her sentences.
