This artist is a bit of an odd one, s/he seems to jump around with the second year pairings a bit.
In a OT3 relationship the biggest challenge of course is not feeling jealous when there's odd moments when you are not getting the attention you want.

^ Well yeah this IS the writer of Strawberry Panic we're talking about, and for the kotoumi issue i highly doubt she'll write a Kotori/Umi centric manga without throwing in Honoka somewhere to cause some chaos.

Not to mention that in my opinion the HonoBasa ship is forced as hell compared to all the other ships. The only reason this ship has gain so much steam is because it essentially gets rid of Honoka.

The second year OT3 works because they make it seem natural with their already close bond. In my knowledge Love Live is one of the few anime/manga in which polyamory works.

But will they be prepared to cast aside and abandon one of the closest friends they both have ever had to achieve their happiness?

It seems to me that this author put so much pairing in his manga that it just destroy them all... they are just all friend, there are no other option. Well that's the official thing and it's not yuri, that was to be expected... but still...

Meh something for everybody, its to be expected from Sakurako.

Sometimes its just easier to think of µ's as one big OT9 and be done with it

If I'm not mistaken, there have been a couple of doujin where Honoka gets raped by Kotori.
So... really, first consensual HonoUmi doujin.

There was one doujin with yandere kotori. It was sorta translated but never typesetted, probably because the quality of the raws were a bit on the low side. And you're forgetting Inuzuka's HonoMaki doujin

I wish there were more Honoka yuri in general (preferably paired with someone in µ's) but they hardly ever get scanned.

I think Honoka x Eri is a legit pairing, judging from reading the contents in the manga. I prefer Eri x Nozomi over this pairing which is why this one-shot was so good. I also liked Nico's role in this.

One of the reasoning's for this is that in the anime Honoka's relationship with Eri is one of which that has progressed the most throughout the 2 seasons. They started out as adversaries, then become friends, then predecessor/successor.

On a side note, if its any comfort for those of you, it's usually Honoka that gets this treatment from the fandom seeing that she is the least popular character among µ's.

let's not forget that honoka has her own private (wars) moments with tsubasa

Ah yes the "leftovers" pairing.. I still don' t get how they ended up being a thing other than a way of getting rid of Honoka.

Anyway... cute story and damn the rest of µ's are heavy sleepers.
